This is brilliant. Do you know that? Do you have any idea that you. Are. Amazing? Because Michael is so perfectly, childishly Michael, and Jan? You have Jan down. (that's what she said) Her exasperation with Michael and the documentary was very entertaining and believable. I can definitely picture her digging through the cigarette packs after such a meeting!
By the way--love Michael's reasons for bringing in the film crew. I love these types of origin fics, you know? And a dose of Michael/Jan is always good. :D

That was wonderful! I'd never thought about why there were cameras before--it was just a given. Great details: Toby doesn't much care, the staff is bored, Michael stutters with hatred of Toby, Jan's shoes. I loved that Michael managed to use sleight of hand to get the approval for the show. And great meta-mention of the BBC series!
