So I just got into this and I love it! I'm a sucker for suspense and I'm so anxious to figure out who the stalker is! And you know. For Jim to be okay. Yeah. Anyway, I hope you update this soon because it's so awesome! Seriously. :)

Author's Response: Thanks oobadnama, I\'m having a really good time writing this one - I do enjoy twists. I have some time at the end of this week so I\'m hoping to get the next chapter up by then. (Don\'t worry, I\'ve already killed Jim off once, I wouldn\'t do it again - or would I?) *maniacial laughter*\r\n\r\nMany thanks for reading and reviewing.

The 12-year-old in me really loves this chapter for the BSB references. Okay, fine, *I* secretly love it too. Shush. And yes, I think you did drunk!Pam justice, truly. She was funny and warm and just.. wait.. never mind. Anyway, fabulous chapter.. and extra kudos for the song choice. Which I did not recognize at all. Seriously.

Author's Response: Well, the 28 year old in me still loves the Boys, so no shame here! Thanks so much, and glad you liked this! :)

Oh, Colette. Is in your intention to slowly kill me? Because it's working. I read these first two chapters and I'm just.. wow. So sexy and warm and just, such imagery and perfection, sigh. Poor Pam, I'm not entirely sure what she's going to do with herself but I have an inkling she'll figure it soon enough. ;) I'm so excited to read something new from you and I am anxiously awaiting new chapters. How you continue to be so amazing and good, I'll never know, but I so do enjoy it. :)

Author's Response: Aw, you are too kind. And I love it ;-) So pleased this strikes you as sexy and warm and that Pam's confusion is coming through. Thank you so much, oobadnama!

Oh I don't know how I haven't read this yet but I'm in love. This is so good, Nightswept. I really love how well you've merged AU Jim and Pam with the Jim and Pam we know and love.. it's really done brilliantly. And the music! Gah, I love it even more for your playlists and songs. Just, all of this is such a gem to read and I'm favoriting it so I can squee when I get updates in my inbox. :D

Author's Response: I think you have provided me with my new word of the week. \"Squee!\" It\'s such a fun little word isn\'t it? I\'m glad you\'re enjoying the story and the music, although I must warn you that the music may become a bit odd in upcoming chapters. My musical range is just a tad bit eccentric and all over the place. :P

Oh, did you update this so soon because you knew I'd see the update e-mail in my inbox and squee?! You did, didn't you?! You're so awesome! And so is this chapter. How freaking adorable is Jim anyway? Being all sweet and protective and caring? Oh, this is the beginning of a really beautiful relationship, isn't it? I really cannot wait to see where you take this. SO good!

Author's Response: I totally updated because I knew it would make you squee! Haha. I think this could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship, and thank you for staying along for the ride. :)

I pretty much agree with Pam's version on the soul mate issue. Great minds think alike, huh? ;) Oh, you are a machine! I have to go to work in an hour and this was really the perfect way to send me off. I'm kind of in love with this fic, Nightswept, I hope that's okay. I'll be good to it, promise. As long as you keep writing such great chapters as these, and leave me smiling at the end of them, I don't see how I can NOT love it so, hehe. You're good, my friend, very good at this. :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the kind words! I\'m so happy to hear that you\'re enjoying this story, and I hope that I can keep you smiling. I hope you had a good day at work!

Hey, I have like this petrifying fear of even writing smut ever. So you already are awesome for even having the courage to do it and trust me, it was aaaaaamazing. /Kelly. I really loved this entire thing, honestly. Just the playfulness and the emotion and their declaration of love to each other, aaah, so them? I've decided that this is totally how Jim and Pam would be if they were not.. Jim and Pam. If that makes any sense, lol. But yeah. Awesome job, per usual you, and I obviously cannot wait for more. One day I'll post a comment about how much all of this sucks. Watch. ;) (Also, Dangerous is one of my favorite songs, I can't help it, it's so addicting! So yeah, bonus points indeed, hehe!)

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you, your have made me feel so much better about myself now. And \"Dangerous\" is addicting. The song was constantly in my head after I heard it on the radio the other day and I had to figure out a way to bring it into the story. Haha.

You know, Pam's reaction to Roy's engagement and her subsequent cute drunkness is something I really love. I mean, I think it would have totally turned me off to this fic in general if it had went something like this: "Hey, Jim's the most perfect boyfriend in existence, is great in bed, and I love him so much! Roy who!?" so yeah, really loved how you handled that. (What? No! I'm not bitter because I've read one too many fics like that. Why do you ask!? ;) Oh, by the by, you are very good at the smut thing. Wow. So hot and lovely and just.. hee. I love Angela too. And Kelly, god she's hilarious. And for some reason, the last line just cracked me up. I could SO picture that, hehe. Awesome job indeed and I love you so much for giving me something to read/look forward to when I get off work at 7 in the morning. :D

Author's Response: Coming home at 7 in the morning? Yikes. Those are some long nights you\'re working there, huh? I have to be at work at 5:30 tomorrow morning and I\'m not looking forward to it. I can\'t remember the last time I\'ve ever been up that early. Anyhow, thank you so much for the review. My main concern with this story is to make sure I keep it real and somewhat relatable because, let\'s face it, true love isn\'t always this magical fairy tale, right? And I\'m thinking- who wouldn\'t be ticked off if someone who proposed to you TWICE turned around and got engaged a mere four months after promising you the world- Seriously? No matter how good Jim is in bed, that would completely suck. Poor Pam. :( So I\'m glad you\'re still enjoying the story and that I haven\'t turned you off so far. :) And I\'m glad to hear you think I\'m an okay writer with the whole smut thing. It\'s a little uncomfortable when writing at first, but then it just sort of... Happens, I guess? haha. Thank you for another awesome review!

I replaced my lost mp3 player a few days ago as a Christmas gift to myself and have found myself downloading a lot of the songs you've accompanied to this story. Thought you'd enjoy knowing that. :-)

So yes, 900 years later, I'm finally getting around to reviewing the past couple of chapters. Which are amazing, actually. I really loved Jim's parents, they are just the perfect example of why Jim is the sweet, humble, hilarious person we've come to love and adore. And his brothers! Ha! Remind me so much of my own, hee. And yes, I'd too like to know what Pam bet. Something tells me though, that'll it'll work out just fine for her. ;-)

You know. It's so interesting this little story arc you've created with Pam's parents because it kind of fits in with her new-found independence and bravery that she has had on the show too.. while that dealt with getting out of a stale 10-year relationship, this has more to do with proving to herself that she can be this self-reliant, self-sufficient, awesome person without her parent's money and whathaveyou. I love that. I love that no matter what, Pam refuses to settle any longer and follows her dreams. And that she does that with Jim’s constant and never-ending support and love. (Which, him sticking up for her to her parents was really awesome, too. And kind of hot. Just saying.)

So yeah, to conclude the longest review ever.. am still loving this. Sigh. You’re SO good at this and I can’t wait to read more! It kind of saddens me that eventually this’ll end. Can you just like, write it forever or something? No? You have a life? Dammit. ;-)

Author's Response: Wow. Thank you for such an incredible review. You are amaaazing!! /Kelly. I so thoroughly enjoyed reading this!

I\'m glad you\'re enjoying the music that goes along with each chapter. I know my taste in music is a bit eclectic, and weird and all over the place so I\'m glad that you have found some new and satisfying tunes. :)

I\'m glad you\'re enjoying this new story arc with Pam. I think in this latest chapter, we will learn that Pam will slowly have to become even more self-reliant in the impending absence of a certain someone... This is only the beginning for our Fancy New Beesly, and it\'s such a joy to take part in journey of self-discovery for her character with all of you.

I don\'t want the story to end. I honestly feel like I could go on forever until you all get sick of me, but yes, school will come a\'callin\' soon enough. I do want to start getting everyone\'s opinion on a possible \"sequel\"? We\'ll see. ;)

I know I've been a bad reader and haven't reviewed the past few chapters but I am reading this and loving it per usual! So good, you!

I really loved this chapter, by the way. The funny thing was that it seemed.. bittersweet, almost. I could sense that the end was near reading this, because, barring a kick-ass sequel or something, there's really nowhere for them to go. They're being pretty successful at the long-distance relationship and Pam's growing into this fucking awesome person that can cook and sew and ugh, I am so proud of her. Even if she's fictional, heh.

And JIM! Fucking Jim. Sigh. Anyway, yeah, I really loved this.. the random, sweet, sexy, and funny moments you portrayed in this is just really brilliant.

I'm not sure how I'd want it to end, and honestly, I think you would do an awesome job at that, whatever it may be so I'll leave it in your hands.

Also, I remember you saying once in a response to a review that you were thinking of a sequel.. I know school is starting up for you again but you should think about it. You're so awesome at this and I love this world you've created and yeah.. you need a distraction from the boring papers you have to write anyway, right? ;)

Author's Response: Yes, sadly the story has reached it\'s end. I thank you for taking the journey along with me and inspiring me with your wonderful, wonderful reviews.

I\'m still tossing around sequel ideas in that crazy ol\' head of mine. I know people are somewhat hesitant toward A/U stories, so I\'m not sure if I want to continue with Chicago/Kenosha Jim and Pam or try something that directly ties to the show. Decisions, decisions. I do feel that this A/U Jim and Pam have a lot of adventures ahead, and would love to continue to share their story with all of you. Pam has slowly developed into her own person, but we all know that she (and Jim) have a plenty more growing up to do. So, we\'ll see...

Thank you for all of your wonderful, encouraging comments and pushing me along to keep writing everyday. You are truly amazing, my friend.

Soooo is it your goal to kill us all dead before you kill us all dead by finishing it up? Not cool. So not cool because the ending.. slayed me. Aww. :(

But really. Awesome job. I loved how Pam kept pestering Kelly for answers and just as she decides she doesn't want to know, Kelly spills the beans. Ha. Karma, Pam, is a bitch.

I'm still really sad this will end soon but I have loved every single bit of it and it's really been a treat to read it. I hope school doesn't keep you away from the archive for too long and that the new episodes inspire even more gems. :)

Also: ahem. Sequel? Maybe? Possibly? ;)

Author's Response: Ha-ha. Oh, come on, you know you all wanted to see them work through a little bit of angst before the story came to a close. Right? Right??

I\'m glad you enjoyed the chapter and yes, karma is a bitch, Pam. That\'s what she gets for being so nosy! Tsk-tsk.

I\'m still brainstorming ideas for a possible sequel, although I\'m not sure it will ever come to fruition. It all depends on how much everyone would like to continue with an A/U story, I guess. ;)

Wow! What a finish! That's what she said.

Oh, this was great. Jim's proposal really brought a tear to my eye and I had to sniff and mask to my family that I'm kind of crying so thanks for that. They're relentless, you know, hehe. I said this already but this has really, really been so much fun to read and I cannot even believe there was a time you were even a smidge nervous about writing that smut stuff because jesus, how you've envolved. ;)

You already know where I stand on the sequel front, and you know I'd be totally on board in seeing where the future takes Jim and Pam, Keds included, so yeah.

You're amazing, my friend, and this has been so much lovely, brilliant, utter fun. I can't wait to read more from you! :)

Author's Response: I\'m so happy you enjoyed A/U Jim\'s proposal. Although, I\'m sorry I had you crying in front of your family. My apologies! :( That happened to me the other day when I watched Marley & Me and when I met up with my friends at Buffalo Wild Wings after, they\'re all, \"Dude. Are you crying?!\" And I\'m all... \"no... I\'m tough, whatever. I\'m not crying, crying is for whimps.\" Yeah. Sad movie.

Ha-ha, anyhow. If there is anything I\'m going to miss from this story, it\'s definitely your wonderful, wonderful comments. Seriously, you have been amazing, and you are definitely motivating me to start up a sequel. I still feel like Chicago/Kenosha Jim and Pam have a lot of ground to cover and even more to share with all of you, so... who knows, they may appear again soon. ;)

Seriously, thank you so much for reading and for all of your amazing reviews. You have been so lovely and kind since the beginning, and that really means a lot.

I have been marathoning my S2 DVDs recently and have been a tee bit wistful for the old days so this fic was really perfect for my state of mind these days. Perfect indeed, Talkative. So sweet and sad yet charming and so in character and believable. Just a really, really lovely read. I especially loved this part:

When he presses her back against her desk, takes her bottom lip between his, and she moans quietly, he's pretty sure that Roy can fuck right off, because never in a million years did he think he would get to do anything more than feverishly imagine that sound.

Just.. yes. So heartbreakingly beautiful. I always enjoy reading your work and I hope to read more soon.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, oobadnama. One of the beauty parts of being a fic writer is that you can drag the tension back into existence any time you feel like it. And then you can undermine all of the angst by working on a post-S3 fic while you do it. :) I hope it\'ll be up soon.

Oh, this was gorgeous to come home to. The snow I had to tredge through to get inside my house was annoying but I found myself glancing outside when I was reading this story and grinning. Definitely put me in a better mood. :)

That said, I LOVE this idea. I think it's because I've given up ever seeing Jim and Pam get married on the show so if we can't see it, they should elope. Because that's just awesomely romantic and I just see that as.. them.. so very them so I absolutely adored that. I loved the quiet, lovely theme you set in this and the banter that is, once again, so them.. and I just loved it. It's always a treat to read your stories, Talkative, and once again... you do not disappoint. Beautiful job.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review, oobadnama. I\'ve actually come around to the point that I don\'t want to see them get married. I love this closed off, private sense of them that they\'re pushing this season and I want to see it keep going.

Oh, yes!! I have to admit that I squealed a little when I saw this! I'm a little surprised that it took you so long (hee) but I absolutely love that you decided to continue this after all! Yay!

I loved this btw. It was a nice little glimpse into what their life together is and dare I say that Pam's semi-annoyance with Wisconsin and all may create some drama later? Hmm? I guess we'll have to wait and see, hehe.

But again- yay! Awesome job, you, and I cannot wait to see what you have in store for us now!

Author's Response: Being away for an entire week killed me too. I would be sitting in front of my laptop and my hand would keep moving the cursor to the favorites menu and lead me to this fanfic archive while the voices in my head whispered, \"Write something. Write, dammit!\" So yes, I am back and I hope that I do not disappoint. ;)

And yes, things may be a bit rocky at first. But I promise, Pam isn\'t the only way who is frustrated with their new life in Kenosha. I have a feeling that Jim has some underlying issues as well, which we will discover in the next chapter. Ooh... *cue ominous music*

Thank you for taking the time to read, and for the wonderful review.

Date: January 28, 2009 Title: Chapter 5: Six Days, Many Sleepless Nights

Once again, I've been bad at reviewing but I got a snow day today so I have the time to let you know that I've been reading this and have been loving every second of it. I really love this realistic portrayal into their life together; the arguments, the worry about money and paying for the wedding, Pam's small annoyances.. it just all rings so true.. I love that.

I gotta say, I really loved Norm too (he's not Oliver, dammit) and me being a huge cat person, I kind of cried when Abby came to retrieve him. I think I would have been just as sad as Pam was.

Anyway, I love this and it's just been all I hoped it was.. I'm anxiously awaiting to read more and I can't wait to see what else you have in store for old Jim and Pam. :)

Author's Response: Yay for snow days! I have family and friends who live in Dallas, Texas, and classes have been cancelled practically the whole week. I understand that even in 33 degree weather, the city is not prepared to handle icy roads because they don\'t have salt trucks, but hello! Where is my snow day when it\'s -12 degrees in Chicago? This is all I\'m saying. School shouldn\'t start until at least March. I should petition for that.

I\'m so glad that you have been enjoying this story, and it was so sad saying goodbye to Norm! In a way, he brought Pam and Jim together when everything else around them was stressing them out, and yes- Norm may have caused an equal amount of stress for them, too- but at least they got to work through something together. I think they\'ll be able to learn from that experience. :)

Thank you so much for the review, and for sticking with me through this story.

I was expecting some twist that would enable them magically unite and be together and.. well, I guess there's still a chapter to go.. who knows what you'll do then? ;)
