This is really good. I've enjoyed reading it and look forward to your final chapter.

Author's Response: thank you so much! i really appreciate it!

Summary:

What if Pam had a different response during the Merger to Jim's overture in the parking lot?

Jim: Oh, nothing. I just feel bad. I feel like things were a little weird today... or something.

Thanks, just-once!  I would have greatly preferred this also!

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

Ohhh, I like this. A lot. Please continue. :)

Summary:

This will be a series of self-contained chapters (oneshots) exploring various "what ifs" pertaining to episodes spanning seasons one through three. Each chapter will examine how things would've gone differently if either Jim or Pam had responded to a given situation the way that (most) fans had wanted or almost expected them to.

For example, the first chapter focuses on how things would've happened differently if Jim had confessed during those twenty-seven seconds of silence on the booze cruise when we were all holding our breath and hoping he would.

Among the other chapters I have mapped out: What if all the reminders of Jim in "Gay Witch Hunt" had provoked not a small, sad smile from Pam at the end of the episode, but rather, had motivated her to take action -- drive to Stamford to see him for the first time in four months? Or what if Jim had responded to Pam's text in "Diwali" via a post-Jagermeister phone call? What if Jim had walked in on Pam crying at the end of "Back From Vacation"? (...You get the idea.)

Again, though, each chapter will be confined to an episode, so it will essentially be a series of oneshots that are unrelated to each other.

I love this. I love your work. Can't wait for many more of your scenarios of "what if's." This is much more realistic of Jim's personality than what the writers did with him in Season 2.

Summary:

The documentary crew can't be expected to capture everything. In secret, stolen moments away from the lenses and booms, Jim and Pam shared much more than we ever thought they did. This is what might have happened, between takes, on days off, and after the cameras went home.

I just wanted to say that I"m really enjoying your story. I've been checking it for updates and glad to see this one. Hope Jim will have the nerve in his "current" state to tell Pam how he feels. Look forward to your next update, which I hope will be soon. :)

Author's Response: Well, he didn\'t tell her... but I hope that what did happen moves them forward a bit! Thanks for the review! :)

Ditto to what the others said about loving your stories. Learning to Live Again is one of my all time favorites, too. Keep it up. You're on to something good!

Author's Response: Thanks! I hope you like this one too.

I usually shy away from stories where Jim and Pam are married for some reason. I really don't know why unless it's because I like to read about the "chase". But, this is very good. It's a different take on the whole angst thing. I hope you update again soon.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review! This story is a very...different one from the fluff I usually write, but it came to me and I haven\'t been able to stop since. Updates will be coming shortly. Thanks again.

Another great chapter this time from Jim's POV. You have my curiosity piqued to find out what "it" caused Jim so much guilt and eventually came between him & Pam.

Author's Response: I\'m glad I have curiousity piqued to be honest...that is the point. So much so, that it will take a few chapters for the \'it\' to come out. But it will.

Wow! You're the "build-up" queen. :) I have my general ideas about what happened, but still waiting for you to put me out of my misery. Great chapter!

Oh, yeah.... I like Emmy, too. She sounds like a voice of reason that Pam desperately needs to listen to. Glad to hear she'll be back.

Author's Response: Thank you, I think? The \'build-up\' queen...I haven\'t heard that before. :) I\'ll put you out of your misery soon enough...I think. The next few chapters are already written, so I\'m just biding time.\r\n\r\nAnd yeah, Emmy\'s totally my favorite. She\'ll be making several re-apperances...trust me. I really have had just creating her. :)\r\n\r\nThanks so much for reviewing!

I was so happy to see another update so quickly! You aim to please! Sorry about my confusing choice of words in my last review, but it was totally meant to be a compliment. I thought you "built up"  the tension beautifully with generalizations and left us hanging with the details surrounding Tey. You're definitely doing a great job with this and I can't wait for more.

Author's Response: Well then a huge THANK YOU! I\'m almost surprised on how well this story is being taken. I wasn\'t sure when I started it if it would be like, but it seems to be well read. :) More will be coming soon...and it\'s another tough chapter. (I hope you like it.)

There's so many great things about this first chapter. You've gotten me so involved in their world already. There are many great lines here, but the two that grabbed me the most were the last one, and this one:

And no matter how much she tries to convince herself that she focuses on him because there is nothing else, she knows, deep down in the ache of a midnight cry, that he's the only thing worth making a dream about. Guh!!! So, so good.

Author's Response: Thank you so, so much!! I\'m thrilled to hear that you\'re involved! And I love that line, too. I spent a lot of the time on the \"ache of a midnight cry\" thing because I needed something with a punch! Thanks again!!!\r\nPart II is on the way! :)

He cannot tell if he is crazy or just confused, but either way, the ache of knowing how she doesn't know is enough to keep him up at one thirty six in the morning, hating himself for hating her.

This is all SO good. You amaze me again with your beautiful words, this time from Jim's POV. Can't wait for the next installment. :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I like that line, too. \r\nI\'m so thrilled that you are enjoying it! \r\nPart III is on the way... :)

"But if I can’t right now, then that’s OK… So long as you’re here, in this room, safe. That’s all that matters to me.” Ah, Jim. He couldn't have shown his love any better than those words. Once again, he puts her happiness and safety above his need for her to love him the way he loves her. *sigh* Very well written. More, please?

Summary: An AU based on a scene in "Phyllis's Wedding" episode. Spoilers up to that episode. This is what might have happened if Jim would have gone after Pam after she saw him dancing with Karen.

Great job. I loved the words you put in Jim's mouth when telling Pam how he felt about her. I think I'll print them and place them in a special place to glance at from time to time. Oh, how I wish he had said them on that night. Very nicely written.
