This was PERFECT. I can't get over how perfect this is. I had to register a name so I could tell you how perfect this is.

Truly. I'm a huge JAM fan, and I almost didn't want to read this fic because I read the reviews for it first. But oh my god am I happy that I did. This doesn't even end with JAM, and it's still, hands down, the best Office fic I've ever read.

I literally had to take a break during the Pam and Ryan sex scene on the boat because it was just THAT good.

I loved your characters. I feel like so many fics start off with canon characters and then just kind of implode in on themselves a few chapters in, but yours were unbelievably spot on throughout. Your Dwight and Angela were perfect. Kelly struck the perfect balance, and Ryan was just... so good. So different but so so believable.

Anyway, I'm gushing. You did a fantastic job. Just perfect. Why can't there be a million of you writing these?

All your descriptions of Rome made me so happy. I love the way that Jim and Pam came together. And - here's a sort of embarrassing admission - I squeed in happiness when you wrote "panino" instead of "panini." Lamely enough, the unnecessary pluralization of that word is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Author's Response: Wow!  It's incredible to receive such an amazing review... especially considering this was my first forray into Jam fanfic.  Thank you for the generous comments about my descriptions of Rome.  As for the Italian- it was my heavy reliance on my own Lonely Planet phrasebook that helped me with panino. Excellent, as usual! I definitely can't blame Pam for wanting something more than Jim's giving her right now, and with the whole Karen situation, this seems like a logical place to take that.

I must say, I was kind of hoping for a bigger moment of realization in regards to their online personalities though.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your feedback. After thinking about it for a day and a half, I realized that the reveal didn't come out the way I wanted to. I went back and tweaked a few things and left some other things for future chapters.

This story is so amazing I can't even really handle it. I'm beyond impressed that you made an X-Files/Office crossover work. I mean... wow. And Mulder and Scully are written so perfectly well here that I get stupidly giddy every time I get to one of their sections.
