10 Stablergirl, since I love "Famous" so much and since I am relatively new to fanfic, I'm going back and reading some of your older stories and can I just say this line made me laugh out loud probably more than any line in any other thing I've ever read. Ever. The closest any of them had ever come was when Darryl had announced that he wanted to “bang whoever made the pie…” Needless to say, Pam had not taken the credit. Don't know why it struck me as so funny, but I absolutely loved it. Now, I will be back with more reviews later, but I just wanted to get that off my chest.

10 Okay, I don't normally like to guess at why other people rate things the way they do, but why did this chapter only have 4 stars when I came to read it? This is one of the hottest little steam fests I've been to in awhile! I love how Jim slides his hand under hers, feeling her wrist and then all that hot, repressed emotion. Guh. It's definitely a 10 for me.
Dinner, and what happened later. Post-Season 3.10 Okay, I don't know where I've been but I just discovered this (and you) and am in heaven. Perfect story, perfect writing, perfect steamy smut. Just . . . guh. You've absolutely perked up my afternoon.

10 Stablergirl, because I like your recent stuff so much, I'm going back to read some of your past stories (I really haven't read THAT much fic yet . . . I swear) and I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this. When Jim came out of that stairwell I could see all this brewing beneath his lovely surface. And when he kissed her in Money, I was actually surprised. So I really liked how this played out. Because I love the beauty of words, here are a few specifics (of many) that I liked:
Jim and Pam on familiar ground. Spoilers (perhaps) up to mid-Season 4.10 Wow, AW. That was all kinds of hot. REALLY, really liked this chapter (well, all of this, really, but this chapter filled a need this afternoon). Thanks so much for that.
10 Oh, Annabel, I just reread the majority of this story (you know... to refresh my memory) and I have to say that I would read those "privacy policy statements" I get from every freaking place nowadays if you wrote them. VB, so ... I'm finally getting around to reading this one and I have to say I love Pam's realization of what she did to Jim -- the flirting and then leaving him like he meant nothing to her. I'm an unapologetic Jim-lover and think he often gets a bad rap for the Karen months. So I like that you have Pam recognize what she also did to Jim for years. One more chapter and then I really do have to get to bed... :-)
Two days after the Booze Cruise...what might've happened if Jim had confessed sooner.10 Okay, girl7, if that's a challenge for you, then you've got to keep challenging yourself . . . for our sake. Very hot, very them, very, very just . . . breath stealing. Detailed and steamy enough to satisfy the smut lovers (I think) yet subtle and gentle enough to not turn those of us off who hate four-letter words for body parts. Fan-freaking-tastic. You made my night. And maybe Mr. Wendolf's...

Seriously -- first, as a fan of your writing, it means a lot to hear/read your thoughts; second, given the fact that when I sent this to my beta (who is also a good friend), I felt compelled to say, "Don't you judge me" [/Joy's mom on MNiE], it's a relief to hear that you found it subtle. Like I said, I'm certain I've written worse; in my earlier days, for whatever the reason, I was comfortable going into just a bit more detail. Not sure why I'm more reticent now (maybe intimidated by all the author authors who write the steam/smut so well....looking at you, miss wendolf, lol).

10 Just me again ;-) I just had to reread this chapter and wanted to come back and share my favorite very hot, very sexy part.
He just kisses her for a few breathtaking, seemingly mind-blowing moments, as if he somehow gets it that the anticipation alone is enough to make it difficult for her to breathe. Then he abruptly stops, but he doesn't pull away, just hesitates there on top of her, breathing into her mouth, his lips deliciously close, parted. He shifts slightly, eliciting another gasp from her -- and just like before, the stillness vanishes; in its place is a fast-moving, blurry heat that takes over her, chasing away her inhibitions and any lingering awkwardness.
Why is the idea of him pausing, in the midst of something he's waited so long for, to simply kiss her and sort of breathe her in, So. DAMN. HOT?! Guh. Just love it. Alright. (And thanks for your response below . . . so flattering to hear you like my smut ;-) Truly. When a gifted writer finds anything to like in my writing, it sends me to a very happy place. So thanks so much.) Okay, now, I'm off to . . . whatever.

Glad you liked that little detail; I really think that one of the things that makes Jim & Pam so...awe-inspiring (that's not the right term, but it's the best I can do at almost 10:00 p.m., heh) is knowing just how long he's wanted to be with her...so he'd certainly be soaking in every single aspect of being with her early on. Sigh.
And yes -- I LOVE your stuff, in case you hadn't noticed. :o) ]
