Seriously, I always love how intimate your writing is. You write these little quiet moments between them so perfectly. They just make me smile and feel warm =)

Author's Response: 'Intimate' and 'warm' are music to my ears. Thanks so much, flonkerton!

I like first date fics where its not perfect and its a little awkward. It fits them so much better. I liked the simplicity of this.

I'm really gonna miss this story... it was so reliable! Haha, I hope you do something like this again. This last chapter was, yet again, just so sweet and I adored it. Its the perfect prequel to Week's End.

I loved this in particular:
It's love and it's sex and it's her best friend all crammed into a space that feels very, very tight at the moment.

Just perfect =)

Author's Response: The ideas that I\'m currently playing with really don\'t lend themselves to it, but I really would like to do something like this again. It was a lot of fun. I\'ve always liked the collaborative, social aspects of fanfic and I felt like this was a good way to enjoy that. Thanks for all of your kind words.

Holy jesus. This was like, heartbreaking and heartwarming all in one. I miss/need them an unhealthy amount.

Author's Response: Thanks, flonk. Clearly, I miss them, too, otherwise I wouldn\'t be writing 5,000+ about them. Let\'s try not to worry too much about how healthy it is, though. :)

Wow, I seriously really love this. Its just sweet and simple, not angsty and heavy.. its really refreshing. And adorable-- this killed me:

His voice is quieter still. "You look beautiful this morning."

"Jim," it's a warning, a thank you, a space filler because she doesn't know what to say.

I could so see Jim saying that, and that's the perfect Pam reaction. Can't wait for more of this.

Author's Response: Flonk, I think we\'ve gotten ourselves worked up into such a tizzy over season five that I can\'t bring myself to drag the room down with any angst. Plus, they\'re a lot more fun when they\'re happy, aren\'t they? As for their exchange at her desk, I can\'t always picture the things that I write very clearly, but that one\'s extrememly vivid in my head. If Jim hasn\'t done that, I owe you a Coke.

Thank you for helping my bad mood.. that was really sweet =)

Author's Response: See, now, I heard you were in a bad mood and I thought \'know what I should do? I should write some fic for that poor person!\' Srsly. That\'s exactly how it happened. I swear on Jim\'s Jell-O mold.

Summary:

This will be a series of self-contained chapters (oneshots) exploring various "what ifs" pertaining to episodes spanning seasons one through three. Each chapter will examine how things would've gone differently if either Jim or Pam had responded to a given situation the way that (most) fans had wanted or almost expected them to.

For example, the first chapter focuses on how things would've happened differently if Jim had confessed during those twenty-seven seconds of silence on the booze cruise when we were all holding our breath and hoping he would.

Among the other chapters I have mapped out: What if all the reminders of Jim in "Gay Witch Hunt" had provoked not a small, sad smile from Pam at the end of the episode, but rather, had motivated her to take action -- drive to Stamford to see him for the first time in four months? Or what if Jim had responded to Pam's text in "Diwali" via a post-Jagermeister phone call? What if Jim had walked in on Pam crying at the end of "Back From Vacation"? (...You get the idea.)

Again, though, each chapter will be confined to an episode, so it will essentially be a series of oneshots that are unrelated to each other.

Holy moley. That was quite delicious, and I am very excited about this story. I usually shy away from pregnancy stories, and regardless about whether or not this story is going there, I know you'll do a GREAT job with it.

Author's Response: I don\'t want to wreck all of my fun, but I\'ll just say this - I am not a fan of pregnancy stories myself. So just keep that in mind. I\'m glad you\'re liking it so far, flonk.

The dialog you write is always so, so honest. Im really tired now so I don't have a coherent thought, but I loved this

Author's Response: Hey, flonk. I was a little worried about being able to pull of such a dialog-heavy story, but it seems to have worked. Happy to hear you enjoyed it. Now get some sleep!

^ My brain on this story. In a good way. I just hope you try to flesh out Roy a bit, I've always had a soft spot for him =)

Author's Response: I\'ve always looked at Roy differently after he had his little talk with Pam in the Negotiation. Definitely not a bad guy and I\'m not planning on making him one. I think sometimes he just didn\'t appreciate what he had with Pam, and that will be my main focus with their relationship.

Wow so I totally wrote a review earlier today and it didn't work. WTF.

So, in short.. I looved this. It was simple and cute and them and the bickering and car antics (you should write an entire MA fic about that, I say)... it was all very gorgeous

Author's Response: So I totally went through and did my responses and just noticed I missed yours! WTF. hahaha. Thanks, flonkerton, I\'m glad to feel the love. I like these kinds of bits the most--the banter and the joking and the antics. Which is probably why I write so many of them. As for an MA fic... I prefer to read those rather than write them *blushes* but maybe one of these days, I\'ll get up the nerve, eh?

That was so beyond adorable, and the last part had me holding my breath. There's a part of me that misses the innocence of early Jim and Pam, when everything came out in simple moments like this, and it was angsty but light.

And this was just too perfect...

She thought, as she often did when she looked at him, that he didn't wear his height very well, seeming almost apologetic about it at times.

I never would have thought of describing him that way, but you hit the nail on the HEAD. That's just so amazingly Jim, its ridiculous.

I still miss looking forward to updates from you every day =P

Author's Response: Flonkerton, I miss having enough ideas to update every day! I *also* miss S1 & 2 Pam and Jim, for the very reason that you mentioned. And Jim (not John) is so slouchy all of the time - he looks like one of those boys who shot up a foot over summer vacation and doesn\'t quite know what to do about it yet. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
