Wonderful story. Your characterization is just excellent. My wife and I have an ongoing debate about whether or not they "consumated" their first date or not, and I'm usually on the other side, but your portrayal is very convincing. I also like that he understands that he needs to find a way to accept the "Roy Years." Can't wait for more!!!

Author's Response: Thanks Desslok. I\'ve actually decided that it really could have gone either way; maybe I\'ll write another one that ends differently. Another great chapter. I'm really enjoying this story. So many authors make Jim out to be perfect, but I like that you show his flaws too. Do me a favor and hook Roy up with Katy? :) I'm all for JAM, but I do feel sorry for poor Roy. It's not his fault he's not the right guy for Pam.

I have taken the episodes that I thought were meatiest and extrapolated what might have happened after the cameras went away; but everything I\'ve written takes place within the framework of the show as it aired for real. If that\'s not helpful, email me and I can explain it a bit better! :)\r\n\r\nAnd... yes! I am planning a Pam POV... and, for a change, a Roy POV as well. Author's Response: It is something we haven\'t played around with enough in fic, you\'re right, but I think that\'s because we really don\'t have a ton of information to work with. That\'s why I tried to keep my interpretation of it very narrow, only addressing things that absolutely would have happened and sticking to known facts about the characters at that point. It was kind of tricky. I\'m glad you liked it.
