Ok ok, I have to admit, Emily is actually pretty awesome. She's a better fit for Jim than Karen or Katy, and if he can't be with Pam, then I guess he should be with Emily. But the flashbacks to the end of the JAM relationship are breaking my heart!!!!
Oh yes, the connection is clear. I definitely believe that Jim could love a confident, sensitive, beautiful, athletic girl. I'm glad the heart-breaking flashbacks are over. I like this fluffiness much better :)

Wow! Great ending! In my humble opinion, Jim and Pam live happily ever after. Not even three years could keep them apart forver. That might be unrealistic, but I'm a romantic at heart.
You seem to know a lot about art. I noticed it in this story and in some of your others. I'm taking an Art History class as part of my gen. ed. requirements, so painting and art really interest me right now. It's awesome that you can incorporate your knowledge of art into Pam's character. Great job on this story, as on all of your stories!

I know some about art, not really a whole lot. I took AP Art History in high school and then worked for the Art History department in college. A job that is not obsolete, I'm sure. I mounted slides and worked the slide projector during professors's lectures. Now, I'm sure they use .jpg files and computers.
It is fun to incorporate the little bit I do know about art into Pam's character. Thanks for commenting!

But then I was like, \"Well, would I want to relive the day I told the guy of my dreams I\'m in love with him and he rejected me--twice?\" And no, I would not. I love this story! I'm still not sure who's behind the break-in. It might be Ryan, but I'm also a little suspicious of Alex too. I never liked him. And by the way, promising "just one more chapter" is not very nice. I would love for this story to just keep going and going forever. Seriously, if you just continued to ramble about Jim and Pam and Voldemort in their new house I would totally readd it, even if it had nothing to do with the original plot of the story. Keep that in mind...

10 This was a most fabulous ending to one of my favorite stories on this entire site. I would give you a standing ovation it you could actually see it. I am also impressed that it turned out to be exactly 10 chapters. I like nice, round numbers like that. But seriously, this story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was so intrigued by the mystery and the suspense. I am as satisfied with the conclusion as I was with the entire story. Well done!

"...because now she lives her dreams for two." This line really struck me. To be honest, my first thought when I read it was how similar it is to "You're eating for two now." As if Pam is pregnant with dreams or something (horribly weird analogy, I know). It is also a beautiful line. Pam does not want to disappoint Jim, and so she keeps doing the New York thing because she wants him to be proud of her. But Jim will always be proud of her, no matter what she does. I think this was a great explanation of why Pam came back. You hit the nail right on the head. I would love to see a follow-up chapter or something about Pam realising that she doesn't need to prove anything to Jim; that she gave New York her all, but in the end, where she belongs is in Scranton, creating doodles that make Jim laugh or designing posters for Michael's newest stunt. Well done!

Well, I'm usually of the Pam-started-working-at-Dunder-Mifflin-first camp, but this was still a very sweet story. I loved the sweet Jim/Pam interaction and the subtle way we get to see them start falling for each other. Keep up the good work!

What a relief to be back in familiar territory. Jim secretly loves Pam, and Dwight is being crazy and calculating. That's comforting after this week's episode and all of the craziness at Dunder Mifflin lately. As usual, you created a wonderful story. I thoroughly enjoyed it!!
Fact: I'm a huge fan of this story! I love how you're including bits from the show, but the story is so unique. And I love picking out the MI-specific stuff and saying "Hey! I know where that is!" I can't wait to read more about the adventures at camp!

10 When I saw that this story took place in Michigan, I just HAD to read it! I live in the Metro-Detroit area, I have several friends attending GVSU, I almost went to HFCC, and I took skating lessons as a Belle Tire hockey rink (go Motor City Mechanics!) I'm so excited to read more about Jim and Pam in my home state!
