Oh, Deedldee -- once again you hit the ball out of the park! What a wonderful story of love, feelings of separation, and connection. I know that this is Jim and Pam's story -- no matter what goes across my TV screen -- :-)Thank you for sharing your gift to us at MTT.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for this lovely review! I simply adore their love story, and I am trying new ways to show it. I'm happy to see that you enjoyed this update, and I hope you liked the others as well! I can't thank you enough for the support! :)
Date: December 14, 2011 Title: Chapter 11: If this ever disappeared, the sun would never shine…
I think you did just great reconstructing a difficult episode! I would rather think of this version of reality than the actual episode. The only thing that would make this story better would be if Jim didn't go to the office party. But you made a nice choice --by giving Pam some time to herself -- I'm cool with it. God knows, Moms need time to themselves.....:-)Thank you for writing this chapter.....:-)
Author's Response: This is so true, but I couldn't make him not be at the party since I'm sticking with canon more or less (I'm a little off on the birth of Phillip) But I'm glad you liked it. I figured, if he's busting his butt at home all the time then Pam would be okay with him taking a night off for himself just for a little bit. And you bet ya, moms definitely need some alone time too. Thank you so much for taking the time to review, it really means a lot! Happy Holidays! xx
Date: February 03, 2012 Title: Chapter 14: It’s a bond that can’t be broken. It’s not allowed.
Brava!! Beautifully written; you have captured the Pam and Jim of my imagination.
Author's Response: Aw, yay! Thanks, it's so great to see that! :) Thanks so much for everything. It's been a lot of fun.
Date: March 14, 2012 Title: Chapter 19: Insane two year old stalker is crazier than a crazy beet farmer.
Well...uh....how do I put this.....babies in bed.......soft kisses...I love you's....APART FOR 3 WEEKS! I'm laughing because I was sure that the kisses and hugs would "heat up" the bedroom! lol With Mom and Sis probably in the next room -- maybe? -- and two tired parents -- well, I guess Mom and Dad need their sleep. Maybe Mom and Sis went home....babies are aslseep.....GO FOR IT! lol I loved the story -- you really have Cece down -- little 2-years olds are just like that!
You are so talented!
Author's Response: LOL I know, I'm sorry they didn't smut it up in this chapter, but I made up for it with an update, so hopefully that one makes up for it. I just couldn't see Cece hopping in bed with them the next morning if they did that didn't change the sheets. Glad you liked it and thanks so so much for the lovely compliment! :)
Date: March 22, 2012 Title: Chapter 20: Irrelevant, mostly pointless, but…
I loved in your story how Pam can make Jim's anger melt away. Your characterizations are so believable -- such wonderful extensions of what I see on the show -- like an after-party -- Pam and Jim after the show. :-)
Author's Response: LOL! I love the Pam and Jim after the show stuff, and I really had no idea what else to do do with Get the Girl... so I figured why not go with this. Glad you liked it! :) Thanks so much for the lovely compliment :)
Date: November 26, 2011 Title: Chapter 8: It’s not easy, coddling a grown person…
I just loved this chapter -- it gave so much meaning and depth to a difficult (for me) episode. That's the Jim and Pam I know and love -- Jim made a bad choice -- Pam didn't like it -- but she was willing to deal with it and move on. Great writing!
Author's Response: I'm so sorry! I don't know how I missed this review! I just noticed! I completely agree, Jim made a bad choice by going to Gettysburg and I really did think Pam would have been annoyed with him. I know it didn't seem like it during her scenes but they've never been the type to say much about their relationship to the cameras, so I thought it was a possibility that she'd be a little annoyed with him. Plus, I love writing banterish joking fighting between them. Thanks so much for the review, and sorry again that I missed replying to it! :)
Date: September 27, 2011 Title: Chapter 1: If you don't stop crying...
So nice. You really know how to capture Jim & Pam -- I'm sure that really happened. :-)
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I can't tell you how much that means, that you think it really happened. I really try to make it authentic feeling so that's really great to hear. :)
Date: December 30, 2011 Title: Chapter 12: In high spirits - a Christmas bonus chapter
The idea of Jim and Pam having a cookie-baking tradition at Christmas just blew me away! Your writing about this family-centered Jim and Pam is so sweet and interesting -- it makes for a wonderful back-story -- and Heaven knows we need it this season! Thanks for continuing to write such lovely stories.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. The cookie baking tradition was an idea that more awake had left me with and I'm so happy that you enjoyed it. We definitely need more Jim and Pam this season, and I'm hoping that once Jenna comes back, that they'll be back to being them again, regardless of what's going around them. I'm hoping to continue these, though it's been a struggle, but I'll try my best. So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for taking the time to let me know.
Date: December 12, 2011 Title: Chapter 10: It’s all about going home…
I loved your story -- I think it could be post-Christmas Wishes, too. I'll think of this story as the real Jim/Pam story and that will make me feel better. :-) 'Times, they are a-changin' -- but I like the "good old days" better. I like the Jim that likes to be with Pam -- just like in your story. Thanks for writing. :-)
Author's Response: Thanks very much! I'm very happy to see that you enjoyed this. I'd like to think that Jim always likes to be with Pam, no matter what we see on the show. I hadn't been so sure about doing one for Christmas Wishes or continuing with this beyond the ones that are already here, but I've been re-inspired and have decided to keep up with it, at least for one more chapter. I'm hoping to post an update today with a new one shot. I hope you'll enjoy that one as well! :)
Date: January 28, 2012 Title: Chapter 13: It's you and your wife, and your life
I loved this Chapter 13 -- I hated Pool Party -- and your chapter was like a healing. When TO first started, I believe that this is the Jim and Pam who were in the future. And you are giving us that couple. Thank you!
Author's Response: Sorry that you hated pool party. I actually liked it on second viewing. Thanks, this is definitely what I think they're like when they're home, loving caring and together, just like he always wanted it to be. I'm really happy that you liked the story even though you didn't like the episode. These were fun to write and I really appreciate the support! :)
Date: May 14, 2012 Title: Chapter 23: It has been half a decade already…
Thanks for finishing these stories and for giving some Jim/Pam substance to these S8 episodes. You have kept the spirit of Jim and Pam alive for us through your beautifully written stories. You have kept a "light on" for us when the going got dark. You have kept a candle burning for Jim and Pam, who are alive and well in the minds of your readers. Thanks for taking care of our couple.
Date: April 19, 2012 Title: Chapter 21: It appeared out of nowhere…
I loved it. I, too, felt that Jim connected with Nelly's broken heart -- and that it had a big effect on him. You caught the feelings that must have affected Jim, and of course Pam was there to give unwitting comfort as she usually does. Thanks for continuing this story.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I thought the same thing by Jim's expression so I figured I'd go with it, hoping it wouldn't be redundant. I think even when they're not outright saying what's on their minds, they still know when something's bugging the other. Thanks for reading and reviewing, I really appreciate it! :)
Date: March 04, 2012 Title: Chapter 18: I win with you now...
What a nice, mellow scene between Jim and Pam. I'm glad you have them Skyping -- couples today who are separated can stay connected -- although I wish that Jim would, like Ryan, get on a bus to the airport and go home. (lol) But then he wouldn't get those nice story arcs on the show!
I'm also pleased that he noticed that Pam was a little down but knew to wait for her to talk about it. They are really in a new level of their relationship -- sharing time with the babies -- the focus has shifted -- and their connection has deepened in a new way. You have captured this so well. Hugs!
Author's Response: Yeah, seriously I wish Jim would go back to Scranton too! I'm missing their interactions so much. I think Pam was kind of affected by the kid calling her fat, at least I know I would be a little bit. What I love about Jim is taht he's so connected to Pam, and now he definitely knows how she deals with things. I think that's part of why they didn't get along back in season 3 but are so much closer than they ever were when they started dating or were just friends. I'm so happy that you liked this chapter. It came out really fast, I used my iPhone to write it. It was so crazy lol I"m glad it came out so well. Thanks so much!
Date: October 26, 2011 Title: Chapter 4: It's hard to say when we became such worriers ...
I liked your story about Family Halpert very much -- and I especially liked that Pam's mom gave her such good advice not to interfere in how Jim does things with CeCe. And I'm glad Pam listened to her mom.
Author's Response: Thanks! I think Pam would readily take advice from her mom because helene has been there before. Glad you liked that! I had a lot of fun writing Pam's thoughts here and I always love the idea of Jim and Cece doing things together. Thanks so much for the kind review. Hope you like the next one too! :)

Interesting Pam/Jim story that takes place in a different setting. I hope you continue this story -- I can't imagine that Pam would ever want anything to do with Jim .....so I'll be interested in how this story goes.......
Author's Response: This story is a little different and I'll continue it. There's a reason why Pam doesn't want anything to do with Jim right now... Hopefully it will be explained in the next chapter. Thanks for reading.

Nice, warm, soft, cuddly Jim & Pam -- just the right tone. In the episode, Jim seemed lost when Pam told him he didn't need to stay -- I think you filled in that blank nicely. Nice read....
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I know, I always feel bad for him when she tells him he can go home, and I always imagined that she'd brought up his guitar stuff at some point afterward. I also think they had a lot of moments like this, they're so close to one another that I really think they had these little times where they were just quiet and exploring things about one another early on. Thank you so much, and I'm so sorry it took so long to reply!

I love Jim/Pam on the phone. I hope you get them together -- I like alternatives to S3 episodes. I look forward to what happens next.
Author's Response: I love alternate season 3 fics too, and I'm happy you're liking this one. More on the way, it'll take a while to get to the end, but I hope it will leave you satisfied and smiling :)
Date: November 04, 2011 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2
So beautifully written -- I can hardly wait to see if they get together on the web-cam (things could get naughty ???) but I'm sure they'll just enjoy Pam's art...... right? :-)
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the lovely compliment! I'm not sure they're ready to be naughty on the webcam but I think it'll be a fun way for them to kind of talk and see one another for the first time in five months. Hope you like what I have planned! More on the way soon! :)

Wow! You did catch me by surprise! I thought Jim was being unfaithful -- I thought you had a lot of courage to write such a story -- and then the switch -- he's a widower! -- Pam died! So sad! You wrote this very well -- and got the right tone because you caught me like a fish! lol Thanks for the story
Author's Response: The surprise was what I was aiming for - guess I wanted to see if people would think this was OOC for Jim, even after the "tell." I don't think it is, but I'm willing to entertain that it might be. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing, OfficeLady.
Sorry about the downer aspect. Songs are usually what get me started with stories, and this one, well, it's a sad song.

I enjoyed your story -- poor Jim -- he's "screwed, and not in a good way." I think that what you wrote is exactly what happened on that first day. :-)

Yes, yes, yes, brokenloon! You caught the spirit of their "fight" -- and their make-up. Thanks for writing such a beautiful story and capturing the essence of Jim and Pam -- their difficulty communicating in words, but their ease of communicating when making love. (I'm blushing.....)Thank you again!
Author's Response: Thank you, OL. I wavered on whether to include the physical stuff, but that did seem like the logical extension of their communication breakthrough. Glad you liked it!
