Not weird and not worried!  I really like this so far.  It's a lot of fun to revisit Mulder and Scully after so long and I could picture them perfectly.  I eagerly await lots of UST comparisons between them and JAM!

Author's Response:

Oh good I'm glad you're on the bandwagon of my MSR/JAM comparison ;-)  Thanks for the review! More to come soon.

Oh my dear lord I love you so much for giving Mulder and Scully talking head interviews!!  BWAH!!  This is fan-fricki-tastic.  Loving it.  This:  "Jim decided these people were weird." was priceless, especially compared to the Dwight and Michael interactions immediately following it.  Mulder playing along with Michael has got to be one of the funniest things ever - and totally in character for both of them!

Author's Response: lol that was something that I thought when I first started writing this.  "I HAVE to give Mulder and Scully talking heads."  It was like totally an obligation.  ;-)  Glad you enjoyed it.  And yeah "Jim decided these people were wierd" makes me chuckle every time too, cause like...really?

Wow.  I'm not a fan of angst but that was such an immaculately pattern chapter!  Love the circular logic.  And really, Mulder's ass.  Nice.

Author's Response: thank you so much, I'm excited that you're reading this fic!

Excellent little dip into the shallow end at the beginning.  And good ol', creepy ol' Creed.  *shakes head*  This is so much fun!

Author's Response:

it IS fun! I'm having a blast with it, glad I can share my excitement ;-)

Oh no you did not just end it there!!  Man.  Kudos to shan21 for the awesome Dwight and Creed suggestion.  Loved those interrogations.  Can't wait to find out why Creed came back in the night before!

Author's Response: oh yes i DID!  lol yeah he's a sketchy one.  thanks for the review.

Wow.  That was awesome.  So creepy.  Just like the X-Files!  I have zero clue who it is.  But I really liked this chapter.  Crazy, deluded, higher-cause wielding fanatics always make for good villians.

Oh man I am so hooked on this story.  It is seriously as good an an XF episode!  (Only without the icky monsters - I hope.)  The Mulder/Scully tension is just killing me.  Yowza!

Author's Response:

yay! lol yowza is right.  These two are just so great, I forgot how much I love them ;-)

Totally not too much of a stretch for me.  Allowing the Bad Guy the ability to hide the bomb shelter's existence really amped up the tension.  GAH!  When are they going to find the girls and make out with them already?!

Author's Response: WHEN indeed!!!! lol thanks for the review and the reassurance, I'm glad it seems plausible to you ;-)  More to come soon I think, and hopefully Mulder will figure something out sooner rather than later.  Then they can all make out.

Like we needed to have the tension amped up.  Sheesh.  Poor Jim and Mulder!  And I love the girl talk between Pam and Scully.  Strange how right it all seems...

Author's Response: lol I know I can't believe these four work so well together.  It doesn't seem like it should work, and yet...  ;-)

Whoa.  You did such a great job illustrating the despair in the quiet hours, the calm before the storm.  It was intense and believable and really well written.  Yay for more of this awesome story!

You dreaded this one?  Holy crap it was awesome!  You  need to start writing thrillers.  So suspenseful.  Talk about edge-of-your-seat action.  And Dwight!  Both kickass and ruining everything all at the same time.  Wow.  This was incredible.

Author's Response: wow thank you! I'm glad the action stuff read well because yikes! It was kind of tough to write.  This review totally made me thrilled! Thank you again. ;-)

Oooh, I'm very excited by the direction this is going.  I love this story so much I recommended it to a couple of TWoP friends that don't even watch The Office but are huge X-Files fans.  They are now so hooked they think they might start watching!  So yay for Stablergirl!

You don't have to ever wrap things up!  Seriously, this one could keep on going forever and ever.  I love how Mulder and Scully haunted this chapter, without actually making an appearance.  Poor Jim.  I can't believe nobody called him  Gah!

Oh I loved this one!  The Pam and Scully Girlie Kitchen Hour is totally my new favorite show.  I watch it every week.  And that Mulder appearance was somehow even hotter than the accidental ironing board make-out session!

YAY!!!  Oh man, that's just so perfect.  What a way for them to finally let go.  And their banter was perfectly in character.

I think Pam's and Jim's reactions made this chapter though.  BWAH!

You.  Hee!  Such a creature of habit.  You start out with some perfectly good Dwight sadness and move directly into historical Jam angst!  HA!  Really well plotted though.  Nice movement between eras.

Author's Response:

Me?  YOU!  First of all -- sorry I haven't responded to your reviews of Climbing As We Fall; it's been a bit hectic lately.  But still, you should know that it was so thrilling to get all those new reviews in when things had been quiet for a while.  Thank you so much for that!

...And for this one as well.  You bet your butt I'm a creature of habit; it always goes back to the angst for me, hee.  :o)

Thanks for reviewing!

Wow.  It was really hard to figure out what was going on when I finally got back to this chapter after having to stop in the middle.  I forgot about your terribly angst addiction!

Author's Response:

Sorry you found it confusing -- and oh yes, am addicted to the angst.  Cannot help it -- I blame JK's performance in the confession scene -- absolutely hooked me.  :o)

Thanks for the review!

It takes me so many sessions to read these chapters - they're too long to get through in a single lunch break!  I'm glad you passed the pain around instead of focusing all your torture on Jim for a change.  :-)  But I'm not sure that Jim would be privy to Pam's thoughts in his flashback.  Heh!  Still, it was really nice to explore her reaction to his return and even better was Jim's reaction to seeing Roy's change.

Author's Response:

Yeah, the chapters in this one ran a bit longer than usual -- which is really saying something given my propensity for being long winded.  :o) (And you're absolutely right to call me on the p.o.v. shift -- I'd intended to make a note that it was from both points of view, but totally forgot.)

I was disappointed, actually, that we didn't get to see Jim's reaction to the change in Roy -- I was convinced it'd be this huge awkward moment wherein Jim would be as stunned at Hot!Roy as some of the rest of us were.  :o)

Thanks so much for reviewing!

Oh sad!  Michael really does value him, doesn't he?  And he does not handle death well!

Author's Response:

I do believe that Michael truly does love Dwight, he just doesn't want to.  Hee.  But the only time that he really appreciates Dwight is after he's lost him (The Return, and Drug Testing when he figured out that Dwight was mad at him, and of course The Fire when he was afraid that Dwight wouldn't come back out of the building).  Oh, I love their dysfunctional relationship.  Anyway, thanks so much for reviewing, I really appreciate it!

*sniff*  I love that he cleared the desk with a ruler.  Lovely.

Author's Response: Aww, thanks so much, I'm glad that it affected your emotions!  That bit with the ruler was just begging to be in there, because that was basically the Dwight that Jim knows and... loves?  Maybe.  Thanks again for the review!

Awww...of course Karen never had a key!  Lovely.  And let me tell you of nightmares you're going to give me with the notion of a female Michael Scott.  Yikes!  Nice way to play on the events of the most recent ep and Jim's managerial transformation.

Author's Response: Thanks, belsum - I really love the idea of Jim finding out this season what he really wants to do; let's hope the writer's strike gets settled soon so we don't lose the rest of the season! Thanks for reviewing, as always!

I'm in tears at my desk at work.  Now, it's possible that may be partly due to the pregnancy hormones.  But I think it's largely due to the awesomeness of this story.  Wow.  That, right there, is some top notch, absolutely SPOT ON writing about the insanity and bizarreness of being pregnant.  Hooboy.
