BT, you are so incredibly clever and creative. Your chapters have just floored me in how you have taken tricky songs and completely wrapped them up in Jam. I just love it so much.

“I wish you would.” Oh Lord, this is perfect.

“Not with the way his voice wrapped around just underwear like warm honey, all slow and thick. “ Lovely, lovely, lovely

“Leave her alone, Dwight.” GOD this is the Jim we deserved.

Thumbhead. *Smirk*

“Beneath the desk, his leg jiggled. He was nervous.” Love this little detail.

I love love love the symbolism of them doing it on top of Roy’s scattered paperwork. So satisfying. I mean, the entire was satisfying and so perfectly done. I just love your writing so much.

Jenna.

This is incredibly rude.

There is just so much to love about this chapter. While I appreciate the point they were making on the show, the distinction that he was not anything like Roy, that he trusted her, I REALLY like that you have him driving up there anyway. Not out of insecure jealousy, but because he needed to be near her. This is beautifully played out here and I love it so much.

Then. THEN. You have drunk being all adorable and he being all Jim and I died a little. And I'm going to quote my favorite two lines again because I can:

“I’ll make it worth it,” his tone has that husky richness that comes when he’s in the mood. It has anticipation unfurling in her abdomen like a sunflower greeting the dawn. --Stop. Just STOP. This is the Jim we all deserve.

"She wraps her hand around his base because he’s long and lean and there’s only so much of him that’s ever going to fit in her throat and that’s on physics." And THAT is one of my fave lines ever.

You know how I feel about your writing and this is just all sorts of perfect. I can't think of a better finishing chapter for our little project.

I love love love the entire premise of this. And YOU writing it? A match made in heaven.

Theodore F. Packer- I snorted.

"The heat and the drink slowed both his brain and body until he felt like molasses spilling out of its container as slow as you please." Well, if that isn't the most southern line to ever.

"She looked up towards the second story of the house--towards him--and he could have sworn that their eyes connected for the briefest of moments. " GOD this entire paragraph is perfection. Just kill me now.

You've set this up so beautifully! Savannah is such a hazy, dreamy city, drenched in sweet tea and Spanish Moss and you have made me feel like I am right back there. I love it so much.

I love all these breadcrumbs you are leaving us and of course, the canon moments so subtly placed. It's brilliant. I have so many Thoughts.

There is just so much delightful detail that you feel completely immersed. The Angela/Dwight/Oscar exchange was perfect and putting that description of Jim's laugh had me dying.

"boorish louse" is absolutely the best description of Roy

oh. OH. That ending. I have a feeling there is an ass-kicking coming and I am HERE FOR IT. ;)

Author's Response: Lady! Thank you so much. Roy is DEFINITELY a boorish louse, all day every day. And I love that I've had multiple comments on Jim's squeaky laugh--how could I not include one of the best things to exist on this planet? Your words mean so much to me; praise from someone with your talent is high praise indeed. I hope you keep enjoying!

Okay, I am very, very curious as to why Roy was discharged. I have so many Questions. This is so beautifully written that I am immediately immersed with each update. I love how you are building their relationship and the turn of 'I can't' was brilliant.

Love this so much, BT!

Author's Response: You know, it never even occurred to me that you might have some insight into discharges from the military and I just kind of threw that in there without any further planning....off to do some research, haha! Thanks for RUINING MY FUN jk obv but I definitely have plans to make it juicier than I'd intended just for you! Thank you so much!

I love that the balcony is their little respite where they really connect and that you tied in the ‘not a bad day’ absolutely perfectly. All these little threads of information and characterization are beginning to wind together wonderfully and I can’t wait to see the end result.

Author's Response: Bored, thank you so much! I knew right away that I wanted there to be a balcony and have it be one of the places that they really got to know each other and develop that relationship. I'm so glad you like it! Your reviews and compliments always mean so much!

I'm sorry, but who exactly do you think you are? I reread that entire section in the bathroom several times and muttered some curses under my breath at the perfection. How. Dare. You.

You have this deep, rich relationship between them, even under these unique circumstances and I am so here for it.

I love the Jim/Dwight interaction. You have captured that relationship perfectly.

And what a cliffhanger! (I really love cliffhangers, btw.)

I'm going to go back and swoon over those first paragraphs again now, k thanks.

I know I've told you this numerous times but I am obsessed with this story. You have given us a masterclass on how to weave intrigue and mystery with this ensemble of characters and have it feel so natural. It is so, so good.

I know I’ve probably said this before but the way you weave all of these details together and make it all so gripping and compelling is just so, so talented.

I’m literally holding my breath waiting to see what new twist or turn you are going to throw at us. I love it so much.

Also the rollercoaster of emotions Jim goes through in this chapter is brutal but that natural protective thing that kicks in at the end is absolutely delicious. I just adore this story.

This story just keeps getting deeper and richer and it pulls me further and further under its spell. You did such a beautiful job conveying Pam’s hurt and his need to remedy it. Also, you are just incredible at weaving in that canon dialogue in such new and fresh ways.
We truly ALL benefited from Coley did and I love it. :)

And I'm here for the angst, all the angst. Can't wait to see how you kill us with the rest of this!

Author's Response:

Yeah I was racking my brain trying to think of what Jim could say to try to gracefully get out of this but would break Pam's heart all the same. And then I decided "friends still?" was just the gut punch I wanted. And of course it hurt to write T_T

I hope I can delivery on my angst promise! XD thank you for reading!

I’m finally getting a chance to read this and I am really enjoying it. Your vivid imagery immediately fills my mind with the intricacies of this world you have created with our beloved characters. The descriptions of Madeleine, in particular, are creating this wonderful three dimensional sketch of your OC.
Also, as a lover of words, I fully appreciate when I have to look up something while reading and I have had to do so a couple of times reading this. So, thank you for introducing me to some new words and thank you for writing this.

Author's Response:

Oh gosh, thank you. That means so much! I too am a lover of words and intricate prose, sometimes a bit too much. I always worry that I’ve trailed off into a jargon and synonym meadow and left my readers behind (especially when I use music terms, as I am a musician). But sometimes there is that lexical gap with a phrase that just can’t quite be replaced. Anyway, I’m really glad you are enjoying it and I do hope to write more sooner once work stops being horrendous and insane.
