Whoa! (That is a very good "whoa") I have sort of been reduced to that after reading this. I do not see the weakness you see in this chapter at all. It packed quite a punch. I especially love that Jim knew the pain additional risk would cause him, but he had to let himself take that chance anyhow. Awesome job, once again.
Author's Response:
Thanks so much. I think that I know which chapters this chapter is a bridge between and I'm much more proud of the other two. But I'll admit to liking the Pam in the bathroom scene. Okay that sounded wrong....
I'm so happy that you like it and I really appreciate the review.
Date: July 27, 2008 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2
I thought I had reviewed the first chapter of this but I was wrong. Sorry about that. I really love this. It is most painful and this second chapter had me holding my breath and I didn't even realize it until I had to take a breath. When Jim said to her "you destroyed me", my heart broke. The is beautifully evocative. I can't wait to see how these two deal with having all this on the table when they are both so highly emotional. Thank you for sharing this.
Author's Response: Wow, thank you. I love hearing if a person gets caught up in my writing, that makes me feel ten feet tall. I'm really so floored by the response from everyone because I felt that it was maybe too dark, too sad, but I'm so grateful people have read and enjoyed it for what it is. I'll just say about how they deal with it, they deal with it like standard Pam and Jim.....but you'll see, I'll post it tomorrow. Thanks again, I really appreciate your support!

I've been dying to read this, but work has me insanely buried at the moment. I finally found the time this evening and, man alive, am I glad I did. You never cease to amaze me. I love so much of this story, even though it hurt my heart a bit. But a few things do stand out for me. I love the moment in the bedroom, where Jim can't help but grab Pam's hand. Such a simple gesture, but the moment spoke volumes about how he was feeling. And this entire last chapter...I can't pick a single moment. The care he took with Pam's pot and the disregard Karen had for it seems so perfect. Like I said, this hurt my wee heart, but it is beautiful. Thank you for sharing :)
Author's Response: So sorry about hurting your heart ;-)...but so glad you liked this. And really pleased you thought him grabbing her hand was 'enough' - hoped it would convey all I wanted it too. Thanks so much, WalkInLove - love hearing from you!

I know I've told you how much I love this and how immensely I'm enjoying, but let's be honest, can anyone here that sentiment too often? This is so much fun and so different. I have only seen a handful of House episodes, if that many, but it still makes me giggle how much he just cuts to the heart of all of Pam's BS. I can't wait to see how you work out chapter 7 and I'm wearing my patience well, since I know your weekend is pretty hectic. But come Monday... ;-)
Date: August 19, 2008 Title: Chapter 7: Chapter 7
I love the way you've built the tension in this chapter. I giggled when Pam hung up on House upon Angela's approach. I'm glad she saw some hope in his agreeing to talk with her, even though she's aware he just lied to her.
Date: August 19, 2008 Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8
Upon the second read, this still had the same effect on me. You've captured the tension here in an amazing way! I'm trusting that this "patient" does not die! Incredible job. I love what you are doing with this story. Thank you for sharing :)
Date: August 20, 2008 Title: Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Oh, Pam... *sigh*. I love this more than I can tell you and I'm crazy stoked about chapter 10!
Date: September 04, 2008 Title: Chapter 11: Chapter 11
Halpert definitely needed a good kick in the ass and, apparently, House was just the man for the job. I'm glad we got this little glimpse into what was going through Jim's mind after Pam's confession to him. That boy is his worst enemy sometimes, eh? Looking quite forward to the next chapter. No pressure :-P
Date: September 14, 2008 Title: Chapter 13: Chapter 13
You know how much I love this story and I am so sad to see it end. But what an end. These two...much too stubborn for their own good. Good thing House is even more stubborn. Thank you for sharing.

First of all, I actually said "Oh my God" aloud while alone in my living room when I saw this on the front page. I was excited, not only because there was something new from you (because that always makes me happy) but also because I've been waiting for this. :)
This is perfectly lovely. Even though so much of Pam's dialogue is her own head, the tension is still palpable and delicious. As if that were not enough, her awareness, even then, of the effect she has on Jim is an amazing touch. Pun totally intended. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Author's Response: No, thank YOU, WalkInLove. Really pleased those feelings came across and totally flattered that you were excited to see this. Many, many thanks!
Date: December 01, 2008 Title: Chapter 2: accidentally on purpose
Umm...Wow! Nice visual, my friend. Very nice. I always feel like I repeat myself to you, but here goes anyhow. I really love this. I love how Pam is mesmerized by watching him do something so simple. I love how she feels naked in front of him because I'm pretty sure it is due to the way he looks at her. I know for a fact I have said this before, but it bears repeating. You manage to paint the most amazing visuals. You have a beautiful way of weaving words together to create the picture that gets me every. single. time. Thank you again for sharing.
Author's Response: No, thank you again for such a generous review. I much prefer writing about small simple moments - so it thrills me no end when readers like you like them too. And I'm kind of a visual girl, so if that comes across in the words, I'm doubly thrilled. Thanks so, so much, WalkInLove!
Date: December 03, 2008 Title: Chapter 3: mistaken identity
This is a beautiful, poignant look into Pam's head during the time between when the pain seemed to overtake her and the time she was learning to move forward with a life without the man she loves. Even in her resolve toward how things had become, she still has that gem of knowing she actually knew him in a way that mattered. This all made much more sense in my head.
Looking forward to the rest because I'm sure it will be just as amazing. Thank you for sharing this journey with us. :)
Author's Response: Pleased you felt that, cause I really hoped this scene would 'fit' between WA and BG...Pam sort of connecting the dots (there's a little foreshadowing of the next chapter, btw) but not quite there yet (it's no coincidence that I set the whole scene in a moving car, lol.) And thank YOU, WalkInLove, for coming along with me!
Date: December 07, 2008 Title: Chapter 4: constellation
Aww...what a nice Sunday afternoon treat. Talk about a fun treasure hunt, finding all those hidden freckles. I have been quite patiently waiting for this chapter and my patience has been quite rewarded. Excellent job, of course, as always. Thank you again.
Author's Response: Well, I thank you for your patience, as well as this very kind review. And yeah, that Jim sure knows how to throw a treasure hunt...thanks again, WalkInLove!
Date: December 09, 2008 Title: Chapter 5: just this feeling i have
Simply delicious. That is all. Also, thank you.
Author's Response: You are very welcome...that is all. And thanks back at you, WalkInLove!

This is lovely and heartbreak and just beautiful. I think you've captured the tone of the kind of stuff going on in Jim's mind at that time perfectly. I love the note you ended on as well. A nice, tidy wrap up doesn't always fit and for this story, it absolutely works. Thank you for sharing your story. And welcome to MTT. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review! I\'m glad that you like the ending; I was nervous about it, but I\'m happy you think it worked. And thank you for the welcome! :)

I've been looking forward to reading this but my crazy weekend has prevented it until now. What a lovely cap to my weekend. This is just really amazing. I don't have any eloquent words to describe how much I loved this. So I'll just say. thank you so much for sharing the lovely story with us. Such a great treat.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your kind words. I\'m glad you enjoyed it.

Pam getting stuck in the revolving door made me snort. That may or may not have happened to me at some point. This is a cute and fun look into Pam's little quirks. I'm sure Jim has had the chance to discover many more by this point.
This is great and fun. Thank you so much for sharing.
Author's Response: You know, I have never had an actual incident with a revolving door, but just the sight of them makes me nervous. They look like an accident waiting to happen. I\'m glad you liked it WalkInLove! Thanks for reading and reviewing. :)
Date: February 12, 2009 Title: Chapter 2: my boyfriend is twelve
I'm glad the mood struck you to add Jim's quirks. :) These are quite fun and easy to picture in context of character. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the mood strikes you again. ;) Thank you for sharing.
Author's Response: We\'ll see... I like these kind of unconnected one-shots where if something else comes to me I can just add it on. Glad you liked it! Thank you for reading and leaving your thoughts. :)

I've been sick as a dog for over a week. This helps. Unfortunately, that's all I can muster for now. Except that I love it and I am looking forward to the next part. Thank you.
Author's Response: So sorry you're feeling poorly - glad if this helped a little. Hope by the time I post the next part, you're seriously on the mend. Thanks, as always, WalkInLove!

Once again, I feel like I repeat myself when I review your stuff. I can't help it. You evoke the most beautiful emotions with your word. This? This is beautiful and fun and so spot on them. I love that not having sex was foreplay for them. Well done, my friend, as always. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Author's Response: No, thank you for being such a great audience! Yes, like foreplay - amazing what a good night's sleep will do for a girl ;-) Anyway, as always - much appreciated, WalkInLove! (And hope you're feeling better.)

What a delectable Sunday afternoon treat, Colette. As always, you paint a beautiful picture here. Both their hasty, dis-jointed start to their morning and their relaxing, just happy to be together weekend at the beach. Beautiful.
‘Seriously?’ you’d asked in disbelief as she grabbed her bikini and headed toward the bathroom to change.
‘Come on, Jim…we haven’t seen each other all week. Getting undressed in the same room pretty much guarantees not getting to the beach before sundown.’
‘No fun at all,’ you’d muttered as she closed the bathroom door, laughing at your tragic expression.
I love that. I can hear this conversation in my head so clearly because it is perfectly them. You always capture their voices so perfectly and this piece is no exception. Thank you, once again, for sharing this little gem with us. :)
Author's Response: Yay! Love hearing you their voices sounded right to you, WIL....and 'delectable'? I'll take it! Thanks so much - you know I always love hearing from you!
She is his faith, his hope, and his love.

Wow! This is a very lovely treat to come home to on a random Monday afternoon. I love the back and forth from present to past and back. It was pretty hot to boot. :) Thank you for sharing this.
Author's Response: Thank you for reading it! Glad you enjoyed it. This was really just me finding a way to combine a wedding fic with a remember-when fic. Now back to schoolwork and other real life obligations... :)
