Jim and Pam are Jim and Pam, only...not really.
You have got to stop this there-endeth-the-lesson thing with chapters. I do not approve of chapters because they dictate where I have to stop reading and I'm really not into the whole I-have-to-wait-for-more thing. Despite the fact that you are writing this fairly quickly (thank goodness for small favours), the waiting game may be shaving some years off my life. And it's not even this story, it's all of your stories. Your blessedly talented writing will ensure that the 4 papers that I have to do will be done only after I've checked here first for an update.
On a much clearer note, I really love this AU as I've never read anything quite like it. And even though the eggs were supposed to be awful tasting, it made me very hungry. Now, if that's not a good indication of skilled writing... I don't know what is.

He goes out, he works, he does not call Pam, even when he's drunk and calls the office, he somehow gets Dwight's extension instead of the main desk, and the following Monday he recieves a very long pamphlet on alcohol abuse, narrated by a green panda.OMG you have no idea how quickly I favourited this. It's like, ridiculous, how fast.

So... about that Part Two...
It's a little AU, with Jim still working at Dunder-Mifflin, but attacking his job issues and his journey with Pam from a different direction. What if Jim worked in the warehouse with Roy when he starts to find the office receptionist way too attractive for his own good?
These role-reversal stories don't always work for me, but this one certainly does. It's not terribly cliched and overdramatic, and I really love your characterization of Pam and Jim, so kudos on that. I can't wait to read more!
Pam married Roy and moved to California after "Casino Night," and Jim gave up. But then he started getting the letters...He sniffled. "I'll miss her so much. Pam was more than a receptionist to me. She was also my assistant. The office has lost its heart and the ample bosom that covered the heart. Maybe also the lungs. I'm not really sure where the lungs are. Definitely not the appendix, because that's useless. We still have the appendix - Toby. Useless and full of poison, waiting to explode and kill your happiness.
I loled. A lot.
I am so excited for anything else that you'll be writing in the future. I adored this story, as well as the previous one, and it's so important that you've kept the characterization of Pam and Jim so sharp. I really didn't want this to end, and it's definitely one that I'll be coming back to more than once. :)
Post-The Job. Pam tells us about her week. A companion to "Week's End."I'm going to be honest here. This posting once a day when you have this entire fic just sitting around is simply not going to do. All it really makes me do is go back to some of your old fic and just read it until I'm less depressed that I have to wait another 24 hours for the next installment.
I mean... we can work something out, right? Because making the readers wait is just plain mean.
There was no way that he could know that she consciously limited herself to two CDs a month, as anything beyond that seemed like too much somehow, and that her hands would sweat as she stood in the Rock/Pop section at Borders with a list of names on a Post-It note. She always paid cash. It felt vaguely pornographic.
There's something slightly brilliant about these few lines, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Looking forward to tomorrow! :)
A saga post-season two.Oh GOD that was fabulous. Season 2/Married-and-Affair related angsty stories usually make me feel icky on the inside, but I just could not stop reading, even if there was going to be an unhappy ending. But there wasn't. Amazing job! :D
Author's Response: Thank you! See, I agree, I generally think cheating/affairs are not that romantic and really sad and awful. Which is kinda why I threw in that thing with Mark being bitter, and stuff like that. And tried not to make Roy out to be, like, a murderer like he is portrayed sometimes. I\'m happy it didn\'t totally throw you off. =)
I'm not nearly as eloquent as all of these other reviewERs so all I can say is ME WANT NEXT CHAPTER NOW.

I think I was just so excited at the prospect of a new story that I completely overlooked what it was about or who it was by. So I started reading it and it reached the point where I felt like I knew what I was reading and who it was by, by virtue of the fact that it was just such beautiful writing and description. So I looked up to confirm that it was one of your fics. It was after this line that I checked:
Jim feels the urge to describe, in glorious Technicolor, the events of Thursday night. It's so overwhelming that it's almost as if he's already said it.
I'm not quite as articulate as I'd like, so suffice it to say that I loved that line. This was such a lovely and heartbreaking story. The time after Casino Night and before the third season is such a mystery but this is something that I can almost certainly imagine happening. Kudos on that. I'll definitely be coming back to this one. :)
