Speculation for S3 and a whole lotta wishful thinking. Pam's trying to be gracious about Jim's relationship with Karen - but she's had enough - and tells (shows) him so.
Ooh, angry Pam. I hope it's not only wishful thinking on our part and that we'll eventually get to see that aspect on the show as well. Seriously, every time I read the dialogue you write for Jim and Pam I can hear it in my head. So, well done as usual :) You're off to a really great start with this!

7 Wow guys. Very well done! It's dark, and messy, and complicated and of course we'll probably never see something like this on the show, but that's what fic is for. Loved the timeline acceleration and the fact that Karen stuck around and drunk dials Jim (because THAT HAPPENS!). And Pam in the car with Roy? Yowza.
8 Wow, one little word packs quite a powerful punch. I really loved how you showed just how much of a difference there is between "yes" and "maybe." This was really excellent!
Sometimes Jim hears about how people do crazy things when they've got nothing left to lose, but he's never been that kind of person.

9 This was just an amazing insight into the Jim/Dwight dynamic, I can't even possibly express how good it was! I love how you captured that very nature of Jim of just floating aimlessly through life (which is what I think a lot of 20something's do, but I think that aspect of Jim gets overlooked in favor of "Jim is so funny and hot!" sentiments sometimes). I'd like to quote all the lines back to you that I loved but that would result in a cut/paste of the entire thing, so basically just know that the entire piece was awesome!
She points toward the coffee pot, almost reassuring him that it's safe to take, no chance of hands crashing into each other, no touching involved. Like the coast is clear, and she's telling him to go for it.

9 Oh OH! This is like my ultimate fanfic dream. I had this thought months ago that if Pam and Jim ever went on a date, the first one would go absolutely horribly- be completely awkward, just because it's them and they have all this just...stuff between them. This was SO good, I can't even tell you. Their voices were just spot on. I have to go back an re-read right now. Eee!

8 Well everyone pretty much took all the words I would use to describe how wonderful this piece is. It was practically breathtaking. Hmm, okay, ACTUALLY breathtaking! I love that something so simple, mundane even, could be a catalyst for Jim and Pam. That she would hold on to his scarf because she missed him and then really hold on to it when she needed him to be there. I loved the intimate detail of him holding her hands because it mirrors her wrapping the scarf around them. Just a wondeful little detail. And this line:
Because he came back and he tells her he loves her and he loves her and he loves her.
Just about killed me dead. I don't know how you do it colette, but thank you so much for sharing this with us!
7 Oh, SO good. You could practically see in Pam's face during that whole conversation with Jim "REM cycles, really? Why am I talking about sleep? Oh my god, WHY AM I STILL TALKING??" so I'm glad she's turning the phrases over in her head here. Poor Pam. And "just a kiss" indeed. Obviously Karen didn't watch Casino Night with the rest of us!

8 Ah, he vs. he- the classic debate ;). I abso-freaking-loved this, no matter how painful it is to read. Because while watching the episode you hold out a small glimmer of hope that "well, maybe he's just going to drive her home like a gentleman" in a small voice, but come on. Despite the debate going on in her mind, I love how you allow Pam to get swept up in the moment and forget for a while. I loved this line: In this moment, she gives in to the memory and goes back to the time when her life was filled with possibilities instead of doubts.
It's just so perfect to what Pam's going through right now. Okay, enough rambling from me. Oh, except I love the chapter title too! Okay NOW the gushing is over :)
Thanks pennylane! The shipper in me thinks maybe he just drove her home - the realist knows it's possible it was much more. I didn't follow them any further because a) my heart can't take it and b) if she didn't sleep w/him at least I can backtrack next week. :) Not that we'll ever truly find out.

8 Oh, how did I miss this? My life is not that interesting! The repetition of "in the end" is just so effective here. The last line especially. I loved how you just convey how bizarre it is to see someone outside of work, especially for Jim and Pam, but in the end that's what they need. Ugh, this is like the worst review of all time but I'm just so glad I got to read this!

9 Man, I'm loving this. The whole Hawaii vs. Mexico and Roy snapping at her and everything that was SO Pam and Roy last year. I love how this has a serious tone, since it's something we never really see explored in fic, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
