I'm switching to Yes on beta-reader, because I should have more time now that I've finished my own recent story and I'll probably take a break from writing. I don't know how many requests will come from that, so I reserve the right to change back to No if I get overwhelmed. :) But I am an unrepentant grammar Nazi, and have edited a LOT in the past, so I'm totally up for a little beta.

Now I'm not diggin' Ryan so much anymore...though he is being really sweet to Pam. But even so! Dirty shipwrecker!

Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked it. I can as well. She's not going to magically be this overly confident person when she and Jim are together. Pam is not a risk taker and I think part of the reason why is that she thinks she will fail. Poor Pam. Good thing she has someone like Jim! (...and hopefully she will have him onscreen as well soon!)
Bwah ha ha ha ha ha! Dwight and Andy in the strip club! I want to see that myself, actually. Although, knowing Dwight, I don't think he'd actually put currency in his mouth; he'd probably make an informative speech about how dirty money is, having been touched by thousands of people.
Author's Response: My impression of that scene (and yes - I've actually had to imagine it - SCARY!) is that Dwight is sooooooooo plastered he has no idea what he is doing because I agree - that is an image that normally would not happen. But I'm glad I made you laugh in any event. Thanks invis!
Pam’s hands grip his shirt, and he looks up the ceiling. He hears Pam let out a sigh as she continues to cry, the tears sliding down her cheeks. He thinks for a minute she had fallen asleep, the bags under her eyes suddenly obvious, but no, she stays awake.

And even though I don't think Karen (or anyone else, for that matter) would be quite that understanding, it was sweet of her.
Michael’s leaning forward on his elbows, staring at her across his desk. “That was definitely heroic and, if I may say so, romantical of you. Well done.” While he shoots her what is meant to be a congratulatory grin, Pam stares down at the teal glass shards in her laps, still clutching the ice pack, trying desperately to pretend that the tears have stopped.

OooOOoOoOOoOOooooh! I hope you update SOON. I know it's gotta have a happy ending, because even if Jim were over Pam--which he's not and never will be!--he wouldn't just leave her wondering like that. You must have somethin' sneaky in mind for the next chapter. Like, maybe...hmm...a breakup with Karen, the shipwrecker? ;)
And on a more fawning note, I loved the fight scene. I keep imagining what it'll be like on the show, and I have a feeling it won't be nearly as good as the way you wrote it. So much emotion caused by just a few blows. The teapot--THE TEAPOT! That was a wonderful touch. My heart was just breaking for Pam.
Can't wait to read more!

He was well aware of the fact that what he was contemplating (no, planning) could result in the loss of his job; after all, the very definition of a documentary stipulated that the cameramen not alter the natural course of events or become actively involved with the subjects in any way.
Even more than that, though, he understood that to do this would be to tread a dangerous line; it was rather like playing god in some ways.
What if Jim could see what we've seen?

Hooray!!!!!!!!!! That was fabulous. Did you also write the one from Pam's POV where one of the cameramen sent her a tape? Well, either way, they were both great. It should really happen like this. Well, except with the microphones and the cameras, because if they cut me out of that moment I would chew off my own arm.

I'm pretty sure my boyfriend would rather have the Wii Neo (I don't even know what that is, but he has the regular Wii, so I'm sure that's next), but Jim is so sweet in this. And how perfectly fitting that Michael would sing "Having My Baby." LOL!
