Bio:

I thought I was just here to read, but I guess I ended up writing a little. My bad. :)

I'm switching to Yes on beta-reader, because I should have more time now that I've finished my own recent story and I'll probably take a break from writing. I don't know how many requests will come from that, so I reserve the right to change back to No if I get overwhelmed. :) But I am an unrepentant grammar Nazi, and have edited a LOT in the past, so I'm totally up for a little beta.

Summary:

Jim and Pam are good buddies. Jim helps her with her two problems: work and Roy. But what if she didn't have those problems? What would happen if they didn't have Dunder Mifflin in common?

A/U story. Basically, fluff, friendship and...romance?  Spoilers for all seasons (sort of).

Aww.  It's really sweet.  I usually never read A/U stuff, but I thought I'd give this a shot.  And I like it!  So please update soon.  :)

Author's Response:
I'm glad that I was able to lure you into the wonderful world of A/U. Hee. It really is fun to come up with some of that stuff. I find that many A/U stories are a lot of fun.
Thanks for reviewing!
cheers.

I really like Karen with Jackson.  They're good together, with all the verbal sparring and such.  Go for him, Karen!

And I love this from Dwight:  "Fact. Jim left the office in a hurry and Pam followed him with a can of grape soda which is universally known as their peace offering.”

Fabulous.

Aw, I love it.  So telling that they can get to each other like that, but they're always drawn back together.  As much as I like Jackson, he's not who Pam's meant to be with.  Great job with this.

Sigh.  So perfect.  Loved it.  I'm going to sneak off to Vegas with this story.

Author's Response:

Haha.  I hear plane tickets to Vegas are pretty cheap these days.

Thanks for the comment!

I know I already told you this, but I absolutely love that windshield letter.  When he used her name in the letter, my stomach did a little flip, and when he signed it with his name, it did an even bigger flip--and I absolutely can't wait until the next chapter.  Eeeeee!  So exciting!!

Author's Response: Thanks invis! I loved it too! And I'll try to have more to you soon! ;)

I'm glad Marsha's getting a chance to reclaim her relationship with her kids.  And I think she's taken the right tack with Jim.  If he doesn't get it after reading the rest of Pam's letters, he's got some kind of brain damage.  And we know a guy with his mad pranking skillz has to be intelligent.  ;)

Good luck with your real life stuff, and I'll be looking forward to reading the update, whenever it comes.  :)

Author's Response:

Yeah, if Jim still doesn't get it I'll have Marsha come after him with a baseball bat. Or her flamethrower. Wait... that was bad!fic.

Anyways, thanks for the review! Good to know you'll be looking forward to it. That's good motivation. :)

You are absolutely forgiven for posting without waiting for me to get back to you!  I feel horrible about that, but I was so busy packing and driving all over town this weekend (mostly to Walmart for more and more packing bubbles!) that I just didn't get back to it.   So sorry!

Anyway, you already know how much I love this chapter, but let me say it again: when Jim came up behind Pam in the restaurant and it was REALLY HIM--in person, not just in letters--and he kissed the back of her neck...sigh!  I seriously got goosebumps.  Wonderful.  It gives me so many happy feelings.  Hooray!

Author's Response:

Don't even worry about it! I knew you were busy, so it wasn't a big deal at all. And if you did see something that was wrong you can let me know and I'll edit accordingly.

Oooh goosebumps! That's such a cool compliment! I'm so glad you liked it. Good luck moving! ;)

I already told you this, but I absolutely love Jim's dream girl letters in this chapter.  They're so sweet and so perfectly Jim, and it's cool to see him growing up in them.  I really, really hope we get to see one written after he met Pam.  I don't know if that's gonna happen, but it would make me so very happy if it did.  :)

Author's Response: Aw, thank you. And thanks for beta-ing! You're a-MAY-zing!!!

Yay!  Ryan singing the Flintstones song was totally cute, so who am I to deny you the smiling review?

Even though I already got to see it earlier, I had to come read again and comment, because this is one of my favorite chapters yet.  I love getting to see inside Jim's head--and the part where he mentioned enjoying the process of correcting his own grammar in the letter from when he was 20?  That was so fabulous.  It sounded like something I would do!  Hee.

CANNOT WAIT for Jim to read the rest of Pam's letters. Hurry, write!  :)

Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked it! I tell ya though, I never would have made it this far without lots of help from awesome betas like you! And if you really CANNOT WAIT, I could send you the next chapter when I finish it--hopefully today. But of course, that would mean you'd have to send it back to me with all your brilliant suggestions. Interested? I hope so, because I think I'm gonna do it no matter what you say. ;) Thanks again invis!

Very cute kid!Jim letter.  His mom sounds like a hippie.  Hey, that would explain his shaggy hairdo!  ;)

I can't wait to read some fresh Pam letters.  I think we're drifting away from the love a tiny bit.  And I love the love.  Who doesn't love the love?  :)

Author's Response:

Don't worry, I promise the love will make a smashing come-back in the near future!

And thanks for the hippie comment because now I'm picturing 10 year old Jim in a tye-dyed T-shirt singing "All You Need Is Love". Which is making me laugh like crazy.

I'm really enjoying this. Hooray for nosy cleaning ladies! I hope she delivers the letters to Jim, or--even better--doesn't have to because Pam finally confesses her feelings.  But of course given the POV, it'd have to happen through Marsha's actions or we wouldn't know about it.  :)

Very nice job.  I love the story.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only person who loves this story. Sometimes I feel like a total dork for liking my own story so much. Anyways, yes I can definitively say that Marsha will have something to do with them getting together, but I won't say anything else. Yet.

Okay, yeah, I'd have been a little spooked by Marsha, too.  But her spookiness is overshadowed by the fact that she's doing a good thing.  She's a benevolent spook.  ;)

That was beautiful, and I'm so glad to hear there's more!  Some of my favorite lines:

“Remember we were friends?”   Heartbreaking!

“Say more,” he whispered.    Aw, Jim! Unbelievably sweet.

“You’re breaking my heart, Beesly.”    See comment above.  Awww!  :)

“Don’t let this be a dream, Pam,” he whispered. “It’s been so damn hard without you.”   Gah!  I know!  It's been hard for us, too!

Such a great story.  I'll have lovely dreams tonight thanks to you!

Eeeeek!  Pam!  I hope she's okay!

So many great lines in this.  Fabulous nicknames: Morning After Jim is awesome.  And I love all of Michael's names for Pam: Pontiac Trans Pam, El Pamino, Toyota Pamry - heeeee!

This line from Jim was hilarious:  "When the time is right, if you’re not completely enamored with Creed, maybe I’ll ask you out on a date.”  LOL!

Loving the story.

Author's Response: I have a problem--I think I may be a Michael Scott.  Because I make myself laugh every time I pass an El Camino.  . . . I appreciate the review, and your appreciation for Pam's secret thing for Creed revealed!  ;-)

Great job with this.  I loved it.
