Wow. Okay, I was never a Pam/Ryan fan until this came along. You are making Ryan SO attractive! I'm actually rooting for them to hook up now.
Except then you get Jim and Pam In The Closet (tm) and that's all kinds of hot and breathless, so yum.

Oh man! I just read three chapters at once and whoa! Ryan's situation with Kelly and his assessment of Pam was really great - just really wonderful. (The Titanic stuff was killing me - laughed out loud.) I do think my favorite line of the whole thing was about Kelly not calling any less just because she dumped him - perfection.
And I still love JealousJim. The Ryan stuff isn't bothering me at all - not sure why, because I sorta kinda want to claw Karen's face off every time she gets anywhere near Jim.
I was really fine with the dance, feeling like Pam deserved to feel wanted and protected (the way dancing can make you feel), and then she looked at Jim, and my heart broke for them both because it feels like they are right back where they started - she's with someone she doesn't love and he's trying not to watch.
Then, J&P in a confined space - always wonderful.
Wow I love this story!

So will you think I'm stalking you if I tell you that your story is now the MTT highlight of my day! Seriously, the little email in my mailbox telling me you've updated makes me so happy.
This is such an awesome chapter. I loved Karen and Pam eavesdropping, and the cover up story was very funny. It was heartbreaking to know that Pam feels like she cheated on Roy. I think that's true, that she feels guilty about it along with being sad she's not with Jim.
I don't really have words about the dance with Ryan. Um can I dance with Ryan? "Mr UNC would you mind if I danced with Ryan on a cruise ship?"
And the closet!!! I like that she is giving all the anger and hurt back to Jim, he sort of deserves it. And I'm glad she left when he didn't say anything. These two have to talk prior to the inevitable liplock......So make my day with another update.......

Hahaha, I love the Ace of Base stuff. And the close dancing made me feel all awkward and squirmy... as did the hiding in the closet scene. But in a good way.
As a side note, it always amazes me how different people from different areas play games differently - I've played "Fuck the Dealer" but never with those rules! Interesting... And playing "chuck, fuck, or marry" among coworkers *about* coworkers went surprisingly well considering how dangerous that concept seems...

I had never heard of the "up Jenkins" game until watching the Cocktails episode though, and me and a friend got an entire bar into a huge round of it on St. Patty's Day, it was fantastic. two things, I haven't even read the new chapter yet so it isn't topical (I've somehow conjured up enough willpower to avoid this story until it's done) 1. I just read Clash of the Titans and LOVED It, i love the list especially, and I would totally hide under a desk too. 2) one of my friends is going to a wedding this weekend where the best man is BJ Novak. I thought you might get a kick out of that.

WOW. I just read the whole story (so far). I'm in the Jim is a jerk camp and think that Pam should have some fun with Ryan. I liked the part where you said that she didn't think that Jim looked that good in sunglasses.

Oooh-kay. You are obviously not taking seriously my very serious objections to any possibility of "cookie" between Pam and Ryan. Those two are never allowed to dance together again. Also, Karen the skanky ho is not allowed to push mini-skirts on Pam for the purpose of impressing Ryan.
Finally, when Jim says "Just. Wait.", and Pam says "For what?", Jim should say something like....
"Just wait for me to get this condom out of my pocket. I've been sleeping with a skanky ho and don't want to give you some disease." or...
"Just wait and I will truly will give you the best sex of your life." or...
"Just wait while I run find Karen, drop her ass like a hot potato, and... hey, are those shorts crotchless?"
And, I know you are working out for our cage match, but I'll have you know I'm not afraid to bite and kick. Furthermore, I am going to remain unflinchingly rigid (TWSS) on the whole "no cookie for Ryan and Pam" thing.
Other than those objections, of course I am enjoying this greatly.

This is going to be completely insuffient but GUH, the cliffhangers!! Long chapters, yes, but CLIFFHANGERS. And I still have no idea where you're going with Ryan/Pam. I like Kelly, too, OK? Not as much as Jim/Pam, but I like Kelly, and Ryan/Pam will kill off both Kelly and Jim/Pam and that is...not very nice.
I can't believe how much you've made me like Ryan/Pam, though - I won't kill you, maybe just be a bit mad. Pretty mad. Do not see that as encouragement.
It's surprising how in-character you seem to have kept Ryan - I love that. He's different but you can still put those feelings and gestures and expressions and voice and statements to the same person/character/face, and that takes a lot of talent, I believe. ;)
Great job, as always. Update quick before I find the need to run after you. I have your [e-mail] address!!!
