As you promised me, Jim gets some love. Loved it, as you know, and the ending was perfect. Great work.
Author's Response: I keep my promises. :) Thanks so much!!!

So nice! I LOVE that her mom sent a picture.
And the title chapter... yeah.
Author's Response:
Hee!!
And I do - sleep like a baby that is. :)

So that's what you've been up to, eh? Good job. That was very sweet. :)
Author's Response: Yep. This is it. Glad you enjoyed it. Not too sweet though right???
Date: May 16, 2007 08:37 am Title: I sing when I'm happy....
I would leave a review on the magnificence this is this new post-baby chapter, but I'm sure that would only make you even more of a Diva... ;-)
You do make me wish I'd gone to those Mommy & Me classes though. :-D
Author's Response:
HAHAHA! Yeah you know me. :)
There must be a very interesting curriculum. ;)

:furiously rolls chapter into a ball and stuff in pocket for later:
I definately need this. I'm making myself a pretty impressive pile of fluff to sit in tomorrow night.
I adore this story, I don't think I could ever say that enough. nothing in the world makes me happier than domestic Jam. I'm so glad I read the summary or I would have completely missed this, the new title is great though, exactly what this is all about. I am completely rambling.
I. Love. This.
ok, that seems better
Author's Response:
Ramble away!! I'm so glad you liked it. It was fun to write and I just can't take them unhappy and apart anymore. Unhappy and together isn't much better - except then you can get them to kiss and make up.
Here's hoping fluff will be completely unnecessary.
Date: May 16, 2007 08:23 am Title: People who say they sleep like a baby usually don't have one.
Bless you and your exquisute gift for fluff! Just what I needed this morning. It's never going to be problem-free after the triangle is dismantled but damn, it's going to be nice!
Author's Response: You're welcome missy! So glad I could help you out!!

Awww that was so cute. I love that Pam was so nervous and the banter between her and Jim was spot on! Great job! I can totally see Jim reading pregnancy books (I wrote a fanfic for another couple a while back and had a whole bunch of titles in it--my fave: "My Boys Can Swim: The official guy's guide to pregnancy" No clue if it's any good, but I have a feeling Jim would have that kind of humorous taste)
Can't wait to read more!
Author's Response:
You know - I saw that title when I looked up books on Barnes and Noble. Too funny!!! I agree he'll probably be reading that one as well.
So glad you enjoyed it!
Date: April 26, 2007 04:56 pm Title: A happy family is but an earlier heaven
Absolutely freaking adorable. Jim taking care of pregnant Pam is just too cute. Loved it!
Author's Response: Thanks so much flamingos!! I think it's one of the cutest things ever myself. I'm so glad you liked it!!
Date: April 26, 2007 01:01 pm Title: A happy family is but an earlier heaven
Awwww! Their parents are all awesome, and they will be awesome as parents. This was too sweet, and I love all of Pam's very believable doubt and fear.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the parents. Original characters are so tough to write. I was nervous about adding them in the mix. It makes me happy that you think they were awesome. Thanks Semby!

Well, what more can I say about this than I already have, LOL? Expectant daddy Jim may be the sweetest of all the Jims - and that's saying alot! But, here's one line I didn't notice in any of my pre-reads:
Maybe you can show them a few yoga moves to demonstrate..
Okay, now that is funny...great call back to their gardening escapades. (And in that light, kinda hot too.) Sweet.
Author's Response:
Firstly - I need to thank you for being the 90th review - especially since you gave me more than your fair share of feedback already. I like nice even numbers and was thinking last night - "If I could just get to 90 I'd be happy." LOL! So thank you.
Next - I'm so glad you picked up on that. I thought it might be too heavy handed (my fear for the whole chapter actually - given the subject matter). I'm glad I could still surprise you given the thousands of times I bugged you before I posted.
Date: April 25, 2007 11:16 pm Title: A happy family is but an earlier heaven
LOOOOVE this. Seriously, I have yet to tackle Jim and Pam actually TELLING anyone about being pregnant, so this was just so wonderful. This is totally how I see it going down...Pam being nervous, Jim being over the moon about it, but sensitive to how she's feeling as well. I think my favorite part was at the end when they're in the nursery together...the house quite aside from the dish washer....just something so real about that. You really set the mood for that quiet conversation and for reality to settle in. Again, just loved it.
Author's Response: When I had the idea for this chapter I wondered what I could have them do that could make it applicable to "Spring Cleaning". It's subtle I know - but an empty room seemed to be the best solution. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Great chapter!
I am completely obsessed with Undiscovered too! The whole CD seems kinda Jammy to me... love it!
Author's Response:
Girl after my own heart. Something about his gravelly voice just kills me. :)
It is the Jammiest CD ever IMHO. So happy you liked it.
Date: April 25, 2007 12:11 pm Title: A happy family is but an earlier heaven
This is really just SOO good. It's so Jim/Pam, with their dynamic right on, and I felt like their parents were completely natural too. You know that place you get with family where it's past the impress stage and you've learned to deal with each other. That's what the living room scenes read like to me.
And the end was so sweet. Jim's going to try and help her the best way he knows how - trying to make her laugh. This really was just awesome!!
Author's Response:
Well I am really so glad you liked it!!! As you well know - this one was a toughie for me for a while there.
Jim being sweet is my favorite incarnation. And one we haven't seen so much this season. I miss him tons. :(
Date: April 25, 2007 11:25 am Title: A happy family is but an earlier heaven
Yay! That was better than I could have ever dreamed of. Tons of new stuff for me to be surprised about, too. (Thanks for the shout-out!) I loved Pam's dad being clueless, Jim's dad being crass, and the silly sex talk - both uncomfortable and funny. Very real, all of it. Even the worries and hopes at the end. And still, through it all, this remains my favorite line: "This morning they'd come to the unfortunate realization that Pam and maple syrup were no longer friends." It just sums everything up so perfectly!
Author's Response:
LOL! That line is totally something I would say - so I'm glad you liked it. I'm sorry I'm so impatient - but am happy to surprise you.
PS - re: your email ? - Larissa is Jim's emergency contact. Schools of thought include the theory she is his mom or perhaps his sister. I'm of the mom variety. :)
Date: April 25, 2007 10:27 am Title: A happy family is but an earlier heaven
this is exactly what I needed. The show is killing me, so I am overloading on babyfic because it soothes my soul
thank you for that
Author's Response: Babyfic. The cure for anything that ails you. :) Glad I could help.
Date: April 25, 2007 09:39 am Title: A happy family is but an earlier heaven
So great, showcasing all the hallmarks of your inimitable writing style: The natural rhythm of the writing itself, the perfectly captured patter between the characters, and the deep warmth of the tone. No one does it quite like you do it. Special kudos for the nifty portrayals of the parents.
Author's Response:
Oh brokenloon - I am so glad to hear that. Writing the parents gave me fits and a half. I must have had 100 conversations re: Jim's dad's name alone - not to mention how I'll be eating my hat if Larissa turns out to be Jim's sister or Great-Aunt or something. :)
And thank you for the incredibly sweet review. I am so glad you enjoyed the story.
Date: April 25, 2007 09:17 am Title: A happy family is but an earlier heaven
Perfectly sweet, as always. I love that you keep coming up with additions to this. They're creative and just perfect snippets of the happy couple.
Thanks!
Author's Response:
desert island - it seems I just can't help myself. I get these images in my head that won't let go. I was really trying hard to stay away from babyfic but my muse didn't agree.
I'm glad you liked it!!
Date: April 25, 2007 09:15 am Title: A happy family is but an earlier heaven
Ohhhhhhh. So, so, so sweet. Poor nervous Pam. This just seems so likely, so real. Pam's mortification of the sex talk around her dad made me guffaw. Belsum told me this was wonderful fluff, and I've been jealously awaiting the chance to read it. Of course, she was absolutely right!
Author's Response:
So so glad you thought so. Mean belsum for taunting you - but I even surprised her so yay!!
Really glad you liked it. I'm in desperate need of fluff lately.

Aww...I'm so happy Pam got her house with the terrace and that they are finally getting married. That makes me happy. =)
Author's Response: Sigh. Me too! Thanks flamingos!
Date: April 12, 2007 10:46 pm Title: You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt.
There was a moment when Jim said "Oh. That is SO not fair" and it totally reminded me of that John interview with Steve Carrell and Kristin Veich, when Steve is making John bust up! LOVE that interview, so I of course loved this phrasing. Also the dialogue in this was just so great! So completely in character between Jim and Pam. Awesome!
Author's Response: Hee!! I could just see Jim shaking his head at her comments. I am very glad you liked it. Thanks LoveFool!
Date: April 12, 2007 07:35 pm Title: You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt.
Yay! I love that they're going to have lots of sex and babies!
It was such a natural progression. I really liked this whole story. It just felt *right*. How the jealousy was mostly faded. How the pet peeves had begun to change. How the teasing was so much more domestic. It was comfortable and warm.
Author's Response:
Well that was what I was hoping for when I started. I wanted to work in the domestic-ness but still tell a story. So happy that came across.
Have lots of sex and babies??? Well - they will...at least in fanfic. ;)
Date: April 12, 2007 02:49 pm Title: You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt.
This was utterly adorable! Pitch-perfect banter :)
Author's Response: Oh thank you Semby! I'm always so happy to hear that I get their voices right.
Date: April 12, 2007 06:55 am Title: You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt.
OYE, xoxoxo, you can't believe how much love I have for this story. so. much. love. I adored this chapter - they are such dorks, with the spiders and the mud and the terraces and still having the ability to have unbelievably hot sex. ;) Domestic bliss of JAM is quite possibly so sweet I can't handle it.
No, I can handle it, it's so much better than the awful angst we've been getting from other places...
Only thing is, I kept wondering what was wrong with Pam for caring so much about dirt on the sheets when she was going to have Jim. yeesh.
I'm just going to read this again, because I love it when I turn into goo with good reason.
Author's Response:
I think her protests were all in jest anyway - but I understand!
I'm so glad you liked it. Writing this one made me extra happy as did your review!
Date: April 12, 2007 03:56 am Title: You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt.
Okay, I guess I'm the only one around here who thought, Pam, forget about the dirt - a romp with Jim is worth having to change the sheets! Well, as you know, I love the domestic universe you've created for these two...and what's wrong with me that I think one of the sexiest things in this chapter is the brief mention of Jim planting sod? By the terrace, was it? This was so sweet and v. hot...and once again made me scratch my head about why the writers think they'd have nothing to work with once these two were together (okay, maybe they couldn't quite show this, but the point remains...on G. Daniels' head, apparently!)
Author's Response:
Oh no you're not. Even as I wrote it I thought she was crazy! LOL! Thank you...I'm so glad you liked it.
If he'd just let us write one episode...I mean really...
Date: April 11, 2007 10:17 pm Title: You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt.
Oh, xoxoxo! I LOVE!!!! And yes, I'll admit, I'm so dorky I actually cringed at the thought of dirt and (gasp!) sneakers on the newly washed sheets! But then again, if it were Jim who had thrown me on that bed.. well, it could be covered in mud and I wouldn't care! (ok, maybe a little!) Seriously, this was so much fun to read, I loved every word!
Author's Response:
LOL! Yeah - Pam got with the program rather quickly - but I loved the idea of her trying to put up a little fight. Thanks so much StarShine! I'm so glad you liked it.
