I love the PB&J as much as (and possibly fanatically more than) the next person, but I'm really starting to feel for Karen. Great concept - great job. :)
Author's Response: Well, as much as you love PB&J, that's how much I love getting reviews for really old stories! Okay, so maybe I don't love reviews quite as much as happy Jam, but it's pretty close. Anyway, I'm really glad you liked this story!

Ok, so I played Anybodys in West Side Story, and that is a great part :) lol, great story, being the fact that I'm not the biggest Karen fan!
Author's Response: Thanks! My best friend played Anybodys too! We had a blast running lines and stuff. :) But, I can just imagine Karen hating that part when she had heart set on being the lead.

Poor Karen - setting off to see Jim that morning all excited about trying for a second chance - and then being faced with Jim and Pam. Kind of like when Pam was so excited to see Jim when he came back and hoping for a second chance, until she saw Karen and Jim.
Author's Response: That's cool. I never even made that connection, but you're right those scenes are remarkably similar. Thanks for the review!

I love sympathetic Karen fics! and this is beautifully done. These are great unique little back stories for her that all make sense in the greater context. yay! well done
Author's Response: Aw! Thanks. It's funny how all of the non-Karen-bashing folks have been coming out of the woodwork in the past couple of days. Or maybe I've just noticed them more since I wrote this.

Aww, poor Karen. This actually made me ache for her a little bit. I love the sensory details, like this: The clacking of her flip-flops on the sidewalk was loud and embarrassing and she could barely run in them.
Still, I love the "happy" ending, too.
Author's Response: Thanks! And don't you just hate that clacking noise? Drives me crazy. Anways, I'm glad you liked it!

"The Sobe hit the opposite wall a few seconds later, and she never quite got that dark purple stain out of the carpet."
I love this. Our girl has always had some fight in her. Great job.
Author's Response: Hey the great job was all you! Thanks again for the beta, it was like you took my idea and just upped the coolness factor about 5 times. So yeah. You rock!

Awww, you made me hurt for Karen. For someone who has the appearance of the girl who always comes first, this was very believable. I love the earlier ones, but I really love #4 since we can compare it with what we know about her skills at the game later, and really see how she was *determined* to get better.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! That was one of my favorite ones too b/c I kept remembering the scene with the guys asking Jim what he was shooting with and then freaking out about his lack of Call of Duty skills.

Oh poor Karen :( This made me sad, but it was oh so real. Great job!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it despite its sad moments.

Man, this is heartbreaking. It just makes me want to hug Karen and say "It's going to be okay, honey. Eventually you'll get what you want. You just can't have Jim."
Author's Response: I know. The only thing sustaining me is that I think, deep down, Jim isn't what she really wants. Although, she may be the only woman on the planet for whom that last sentence is true.

The Germans must have a name for the guilt you have when you experience Schadenfreude. I'm sure it's just the German word for "guilt" (which, if I ever knew, I've forgotten) tacked on to the end. So, I'm experiencing Schadenfreude guilt right now. It's okay as a Jam gal to be happy about number 5 up above, but should I really have enjoyed 1 - 4 so much? Is that mean?
Good job! I always think the "5 things" entries are sort of neat, because there are at least 5 stories in the story. Kind of like bonus presents.
Thanks for the bonus presents. (Wasn't your yearbook picture in there somewhere?)
Author's Response:
Heck no! My yearbook picture will never again see the light of day. Anyways, glad you liked the bonus presents!

My heart broke with Karen missing that goal. I know how hard that is. Its like, you do everything you can and you think you can, and then you suck. But then, also having been a goalie, I know how amazing it is when you connect with that shot and you are like YES. Okay, so what. I played soccer for like 10 years. It is my life. Deal. :P
Oh, and I can so relate to not getting that internship *grumbles* i'm too good for them. thats it. they will be sorry that they didn't hire me. yeah
Okay, so, yeah, I feel really sorry for Karen. It's official, she has totally grown on me
Author's Response: I'm glad the soccer part was okay. I was worried b/c I only played soccer for two years and it was a long time ago. And yes, you are way too good for those internship meanies. I'd give you an internship any day!

Very well done. You did a good job with Karen's voice.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.

Wow! Extremely powerful!!!
Fillipelli, Karen - Anybodys
No. No that was wrong. That couldn't be right. Someone had to have made a mistake. ...all she could think about was making it to the girl's bathroom down the hall before she let her tears spill down her face.
Dang it, Azlin. You just made Karen a heroine for me!
Author's Response: Sorry. If it makes you feel any better even I didn't mean to like her that much, and I wrote the dang thing. I think maybe the hiatus has been slowly breaking my brain.
