Oh, that was lovely! Great visual of Jim falling on his ass and then Karen out on his balcony with a sleeping bag. You're breaking my heart for both of them - in a good way.

Wow. These are really good. You are so sympathetic to all the characters. Are you SURE there are only three chapters to this story? There should be more!

Wow. You know, I haven't read many stories about Pam's breakup with Roy; none of them really resonated with me. But this one really did. You make Pam's change of heart all about her, not about Jim, and I think that's the way it would have to have been for her. Well done!

i love it so much (: i like how you made Pam comfort him at the end of this. Most people wouldn't have thought of the way pam really acts and they would have made her yell at him or something. it's like you really understand the character and you know how to relate to her in your fanfic (:
please continue !

I absolutely loved this. From the magical title to the very last line, it was so beautifully written. You just know that their break-up went like this, no explosions or throwing beer bottles at mirrors, just the truth.

I love that you showed that Roy is human, that he's simply a person. Just not Pam's person. I can't wait to read more!

I was just thinking that now is the perfect time for Pam/Roy break up fic...and here you go with this awesome story! I am really loving it so far and can't wait to read more.

I really like how you've given a glimpse of Brand New Beesly here - it gives a nice transition between the "I can't?" and Pam not marrying Roy. I can't wait until the second part! :D

This is just OUTSTANDING. I think you did such a wonderful job explaining what thoughts were coursing through Pam's mind as she made this difficult decision.

Wow. This is so, so good. I can picture the life that Pam would have and it's EXACTLY like you described. So believable and heartfelt and so well done! I cannot wait for more!

LINDSAY. WHY are you so amazing at this?!! Seriously, tell me. Just.. gah, so so brilliant. I can't stand how good this is. Just.. PAM. And Roy. And gagewfew. I am literally on the edge of my seat for more. No, really. :)

This is a great calling-off-the-wedding scenario. Well done. You captured the best side of Pam with her gentle but firm letdown of Roy, and even the best side of Roy with his willingness (matched by his inability) to change. I particularly liked this line: "Pam knows it would be like slapping a band-aid on something that required surgery. Three weeks of good behavior would fall prey to old habits that are too hard to break. She knows him." Great job -- I can't wait for more!

An interesting and plausible take on where Pam's head and heart were at as she called off her wedding to Roy. I'm curious to see where you go from here. Down the same path as the show or will Pam contact Jim in the near future?

Oh, my. This is how it actually happened. No doubt. Your voices are perfection here. I love that the whole nine yards Pam realizes Roy can't give her is precisely what Jim would provide, yet you never outright say that. And that for all his lunkheadedness, you showed Roy's vulnerability here too - and Pam coming to terms with the fact that he is who he is (it means what it means.) As is she.You capture it exactly as I imagine it happening - externally and internally.
So vividly and poignantly written. I literally can't wait for the next chapter.

Wow, really great. Vivid and real and perfectly written and it seems just like them, all of it. Spendid.
Author's Response: Thank you, brokenloon! I wanted so hard for it to seem real. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
