Awesome chapter kerber, The passion pops off the page (or screen in this case).
"I love you," she whispered, her lips a whisper away from his.
Thank you!

Very, very sweet. I'm not sure they really waited all the way until "Money" to exchange "I love you"s, but I definitely think it was this romantic, this spontaneous, and this difficult. They do better when they don't overthink, don't they? Great story.

Finally a new chapter! Still loving the story, and can't wait for more. Hopefully this time it won't take as long....;)

I am really enjoying this story. You capture Pam's insecure nature very well, and I just loved this line that someone else referenced as well:
“Can you, would you mind saying that again,” he said in a sigh, leaning his forehead against hers, drawing her closer to him. “I promise this time won’t be as nerve racking for you.”
Looking forward to the next chapter...

I agree- Full House over Murder She Wrote any day :)
Lovely job! I'm still into this story too so I hope you continue with more so! So adorable. I love especially this part:
“Can you, would you mind saying that again,” he said in a sigh, leaning his forehead against hers, drawing her closer to him. “I promise this time won’t be as nerve racking for you.”
Le sigh. So good. :) Thanks for sharing!

Wow! Another fantastic chapter! I love this story and where it's going. You really have a great feel for the characters, and I can't wait for that wonderful I love you chapter!
Author's Response: You're a sneaky one my dear :) But *muchly* appreciated! I'm so glad you like the story -- thanks as always for listening to me lament about what to do next and being a sounding board for this!

Kerber, I'm sorry I'm a little late in reviewing this. :P
I love the slow burn you're doing with this story. Everything is just moving at its own pace and according to its own timetable, and there's no sense of being hurried or rushed. (Just like Jim and Pam. :D)
I think you're continuing to do an amazing job with this story, keep it up!
Author's Response: Thanks :) And no worries, you're not late. I appreciate you taking the time to read and review as you have! As we know our favorite couple doesn't move at the speed of light, I wanted to make it as realistic to them as possible and I'm glad it's showing through that way.

Ooooo, a cliffhanger! I'm hanging on Pam's every word like Jim!
I really liked the hand holding imagery in this chapter. Holding hands across the table, intertwining fingers...so dreamy. You painted some beautiful pictures in this chapter.
I can't wait for the next chapter. Excellent work, my friend!
Author's Response: My dear Bees, thanks for the review and kick of praise. It's coming and when it does it will kick your ass ;) lol -- in stealing a quote from our favorite lanky cute paper salesman!

Loving this oh-so much, Kerber! I love the balance of humor and romance in this chapter, and each chapter just gets better and better! I'm really anxious to see how you lead up to and arrive at your big ILU crescendo, but watching this story blossom and unfold has been a delightful treat. I'm so happy to be involved with this wonderful story. Can't wait for more! -CH
Author's Response: Chica -- you have been my biggest cheerleader and greatest beta with this story and I appreciate it more than you know. I'm really glad that the story doesn't disappoint and I can't wait to finish the big reveal :)

Another fabulous chapter! You certainly have a talent for writing.
I loved Jim's bouquet idea and I loved this moment:
“Hey, Jim?” she asked nervously. This was it; this was the time she was going to tell him. Jim slipped his arm from around her waist to take hold of her hand. He looked over at her with a smile that spread from ear to ear. Pam felt him give her hand a squeeze and when she looked up and met his eyes, she lost all her thoughts. No, not right, not yet, she thought. I have to get this right. “I just need my sweater before we go.”
An echo of The Dundies for me.
Can't wait for Pam to spill!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review!! :) I'm glad some of my JT buds are still reading and reviewing, I appreciate all the love/support you guys give me on this! Just wait and see what happens down the road for these two -- I'm very excited about where this story is going!

kerber!! I'm sorry I didn't get to this until just now! I love the changes you made, and I think it's made the whole chapter stronger.
You've got a great little story here, and I'm excited to see where it's going! Good job.
Author's Response: Another review from the fic-master, I'm honored and humbled. And I can't thank you enough for your gracious offer of beta help. I'm so glad you're enjoying the story! :)

Okay.
First off, how fun is it to find a fabulous new writer on this site? I absolutely adore the burst of energy you brought to MTT in those last few days of the strike, and in all honesty, I think you're one of the best new authors on the site today. There's a freshness of your writing that one doesn't often find in the latest fics; it's sweet, and sometimes deliciously sugary, but it reaches a level of thoughtfulness we don't often see from "first-timers." You write with such precision and creativity that it's an absolute pleasure to read the same words over and over again, and I really applaud your fresh approach to fic and fun here at MTT.
There's a lot to love in this chapter, but I have to say that I'm madly obsessed with the balance you've struck between "cheese" and "meat," so to speak. Let me start by saying this: there's NOTHING wrong with cheese in fic, those perfectly gooey moments where we just want to curl up with a box of chocolates and enjoy the sweetness of a well-written fic. But you've done something different here. You've created these "cheesy" moments (which again are the bread 'n butter of fic) like Jim and his perfect bouquet of paint things and roses, moments like the necessary "hello" kiss before they could leave for the date, and balanced them with a hulking plot that really is "meaty" and fascinating. Too many people assume that Jim and Pam's first date after "The Job" ended with tearful "OMG I love you"s and hot sex against a brick wall, but I love the realistic subtlety you've brought to this story. Pam's apprehension and excitement to finally tell Jim how she feels is full of the realism I love to find in well-written fic, and the weight of her emotions adds a perfect balance to those sweeter, lighter moments you've written in the story. I say this to say that you're excelling in creating a sense of balance for your story, and the result is a charming chapter that's an absolute BLAST to read. Well done, well done, and try not to be so long with the next chapter, okay? Okay, good, we're agreed. Next chapter by Saturday, I ook forward to reading it. ;-)
Now, judging from all those food references, you can probably tell I haven't had lunch yet, so let's go rectify that. Bravo again, my friend!
Never Acquiesce. --CH
Author's Response: Wow, wow and wow chica. Seriously? Just, wow.rnrnI write along the lines of something that I'd want to curl up with and read. I'm not one to 'write for the masses'. I take great pride in the words that I craft and I'm very proud of my little story that could ;) And hello? When you have a beta like you for guidance, it just makes the story have that much more potential to be full of awesome.

Yay you updated! And it was a good one too... Jim is so sweet. How Pam didn't just jump him then I'll never know. :D
Author's Response: Thanks for the review :) I'm glad you're enjoying it so far! I'm not sure how I held back from getting them together either, but I think as you'll see in the rest of the chapters, it will all be worth it in the end.

Le sigh. How did I miss this earlier? Fic based on "Money" is, well, Money. Love the details about Pam's girlyness.
