Every chapter is more impressive than the last. It's so exciting to see a new chapter everyday. YEA! Always love drunk Pam. I’m almost shocked that 'Roy getting married quickly' wasn’t an actual story line in the show. It's hard to believe that your Roy hasn’t called to rub it in her face. I guess we'll see!
Author's Response: Thanks for the amazing review; I'm glad you're enjoying the chapters as they come along. Drunk Pam is too adorable and so much fun to write. :) I, too, am surprised Roy hasn't already moved on in the actual show. Maybe the writers will read this and steal the idea?? Haha.

Well I think Jim handles Pam's worship of his penis very well indeed. And I think there should be more of it.
I love the Angela/Pam friendship in this story. I'd love to see more Angela/Jim interaction. She's got such a great bullshit detector, I feel like Jim would be kind of afraid of her and I'd love to see him getting the Angela stamp of approval.
Oh, and I can't remember if I said this before, but can Jim and Pam please go for brunch at 11 City Diner? (South Loop, 11th and Wabash).
Author's Response: I have a feeling you will be getting both of those wishes very soon as far as Angela/Jim interaction and 11 City Diner. The next chapter I've mapped out has Jim and Pam eating breakfast and I already had a place in my head, but after checking out 11 City online, I have decide to move them over there instead. Just for you! You have me wanting to go there for brunch this weekend. If only the weather wasn't so awful.

I was just in Chicago, but I couldn't find me an indy!Jim. I want one by the way, maybe you could just type a script for my boyfriend. haha I love this story. By far one of my favourites.
Author's Response: Where's indy!Jim? I want indy!Jim! Sure, I will script out your boyfriend for you. Perhaps one of Jim's friends? :P

Aww poor Pam. But that's the sign of a real keeper if he holds your hair. Glad to hear Roy's engaged so he's not a threat. Of course, more smut please :) Cannot wait for the next part.
Author's Response: Thank you! I honestly don't know anyone in my life who would hold my hair if I started hurling over my kitchen sink, and I seriously doubt I would be that brave myself so, yes, Jim is a real keeper. Haha.

Not gunna lie, and sorry if this is completely TMI.... but I have a good feeling I'd love Jim's penis, too.
I'm just sayin' lol
I love this story completely. How Jim's belongings are slowly mixing with Pam's, how Pam went out and got completely plastered when she found out about Roy, Kelly's urging Pam to tell her about how Jim is in bed... Loved it all. You = awesome.
Author's Response: Your review = awesome times awesome. Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter. And no, definitely not TMI, especially since this chapter made me feel really dirty since it required me to think about Jim's... business quite a bit... Maybe that's TMI. haha.

I tell ya, this is the second fanfic I've read today that has the song "Pictures of You" in it (:
it's a good thing though, 'cause I'm STILL loving this story.
Author's Response: Really? Aw, love The Cure. I'm glad you're still enjoying it!

AH! You stop there!? The smut was very well done...but I'm feeling unsatisfied ;) You have nothing to worry about in that department. Well written, not cheesy or too hardcore...perfect balance.
I did have a question though(again haha...sorry I'm the one that keeps nitpicking about little things in your story, it's honestly just genuine curiosity) Would it be feasible for Jim and Pam to own a nice apartment in Chicago on just two high school teacher's salaries? I was just wondering what the logistics of that would be. I know that a really nice house in Philly, like those beautiful brownstones, are upwards of a million dollars. Craziness. While reading I was just wondering what it would be like for them in Chicago.
I was definitely mad at Jim for that whole scene in the car. Jerk. haha. But I am in love with English teacher Jim. He is my absolute favorite AU portrayal so kudos :) The book of poetry was poignant and charming at the same time. What I wouldn't give to have a guy put together a book of poetry that reminded him of me! A girl can dream right? Keep this story coming! It was such a wonderful post-finals gift to see that you updated!
(PS~ Is it the Muppet Christmas Carol?! If so, I LOVE that movie!!! I commend you on your good taste hee)
Author's Response: As a shout out to you in the next chapter, that question will totally be dealt with. Leave it up to Kelly to bring Pam back to reality. ;) I love the thought of Jim as an English teacher, especially since it's supposedly one of Krasinski's secret ambitions had he not gone into acting. Sexy. Glad to hear finals are finally over. Hurray! Also- YES! I was definitely watching a Muppet Christmas Carol. It just isn't the holidays without the muppets.

Hey, I have like this petrifying fear of even writing smut ever. So you already are awesome for even having the courage to do it and trust me, it was aaaaaamazing. /Kelly. I really loved this entire thing, honestly. Just the playfulness and the emotion and their declaration of love to each other, aaah, so them? I've decided that this is totally how Jim and Pam would be if they were not.. Jim and Pam. If that makes any sense, lol. But yeah. Awesome job, per usual you, and I obviously cannot wait for more. One day I'll post a comment about how much all of this sucks. Watch. ;) (Also, Dangerous is one of my favorite songs, I can't help it, it's so addicting! So yeah, bonus points indeed, hehe!)
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you, your have made me feel so much better about myself now. And "Dangerous" is addicting. The song was constantly in my head after I heard it on the radio the other day and I had to figure out a way to bring it into the story. Haha.

hey no it wasn't bad smut at all. You really don't give yourself enough credit. I really liked that they just fully talked about it before and like asked each other if they wanted to. :)
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you didn't think it was too terrible. :) I am my own worst critic, I guess.

Awesome chapter. Definitely glad we're getting some smut. More please! I love Milwaukee too, great place. Really loving this fic. Cannot wait for the next part.

Date: December 17, 2008 08:01 pm Title: Break the Ice
Thank you for writing about Milwaukee! Born and raised, I actually was the marketing manager for the Betty Brinn Children's Museum for a few years. Nice shout out to the suburbs too! I don't think Milwaukee has much of a skyline though...at least we don't think so! Please keep this story coming, I love it and am always very excited when a new update is posted. And now that you've tied in my hometown, I love it even more!
Author's Response: What's up, Milwaukee?! I absolutely love your hometown, and I try to visit whenever I can. I suppose you're right about the skyline... I guess Pam was just excited to see a small, normal town that wasn't as expansive and overwhelming as Chicago? Haha. Thanks for the review!

Aw, you did a great job! Icould not tell you were a virgin smut writer, no worries.Honestly the emotion that built in this chapter towards that scene really helped make that scene (and that Greg Laswell song really added something nice too). I loved Jim's misleading of Pam at the beginning, it was so funny, their fight in the car, and the way Jim's confession went with Neruda's poetry and Pam's reciprocating. It really was such a lovely chapter and I really like seeing their relationship develop.
Author's Response: Total virgin smut writer! Right here! So can I tell you that I am having some major heart palpatations just thinking about the next chapter. I hope I can keep up with my updates because to be honest... I have not started on it yet. It's up there, in that little head of mine, but I've yet to let it materialize on my keyboard. Soon! I promise. I'm glad you enjoyed the whole scavenger hunt that Jim sent Pam on. I was worried some would be like, "Ok, what the hell? That was a waste of time," but I thought it expressed the fun nature of their relationship. Those two are just so goofy. Greg Laswell is love. Thanks for the review, albie. Your are always such a joy to read.

I am so in love with this story! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you are updating it every single day and totally making my day. You totally rock!
Author's Response: Yay! Thank you! You have no idea how much it means to hear you say that you love the story so much. Like Pam said, it makes me feel like I'm doing something right... haha.
Date: December 17, 2008 05:10 pm Title: Break the Ice
As usual, I loved it. You really are such an amazing writer, always so good with the details. Everytime I see you update I get excited =)
First time smut = very good. I can't wait to read the rest =)
Author's Response: Thank you! First time smut made this girl very nervous, so I'm glad to hear it wasn't so bad. ;)

I just got my wisdom teeth pulled today, and having the new chapters to read have put me in a better mood already as I sit here with gauze in my mouth...haha. Seriously though, I really like the character developments, and no, I don't think it's getting too cute or sweet. Definitely a good balance here! I too have yet to figure out where I stand on the whole soul mate situation. Something to contemplate and talk to the boyfriend about :) Keep up the good work NightSwept, I can't wait to read more! Not that I am a fan of angst between our beloved JAM, but will Jim and Roy ever run into each other?
Author's Response: I will say that the thought of Jim and Roy running into each other has crossed my mind, yes. Hmm... But that is all I will say. ;)rnrnMajor ouchie on the wisdom teeth. I hope you're feeling okay today. :)

That was so beautiful. I can't wait for them to be together and actually dating :)
Author's Response: Thank you! It would be nice for them to finally be together in the same city again, wouldn't it? :) Can't wait.
Date: December 16, 2008 07:19 pm Title: Big Jumps
I don't know if I believe in soulmates but I like to entertain the idea. Great chapter. I cannot wait until they're together again. Now that they got to know each other better, maybe we can get some physical stuff :)?
Also, I think I commented twice here. Oops.
Author's Response: Hmm... there may be some physical stuff coming up in an upcoming chapter... maybe...

Awwwwwww Jim was so cute with sick pam :)
Date: December 16, 2008 07:16 pm Title: Brightest Hour
I love Pam's dress and how they met up on NYE. I wish she wasn't sick but I think it's cute how they made it work and still kissed at midnight.
Author's Response: I thought it would be interesting to see how Jim and Pam are able to communicate on all levels, even when one of them is a mute. Haha. Aww, if only my NYE could be so magical. :(

Love the part about making love work. It's not always cheerful or jubilant or blissful, but when love is worth it, it's worth the trouble that can arise. Love Jim and Pam seeing the possibilities in each other
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you liked their little conversation and the discussion over the possibility of them being able to fall in love with each other one day. I had hoped it would be seen as more realistic than the whole idea of love being this amazing fairy tale. Thanks for the review!

I can't even describe how much I love this story. You, my friend, are amazing.

I pretty much agree with Pam's version on the soul mate issue. Great minds think alike, huh? ;) Oh, you are a machine! I have to go to work in an hour and this was really the perfect way to send me off. I'm kind of in love with this fic, Nightswept, I hope that's okay. I'll be good to it, promise. As long as you keep writing such great chapters as these, and leave me smiling at the end of them, I don't see how I can NOT love it so, hehe. You're good, my friend, very good at this. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying this story, and I hope that I can keep you smiling. I hope you had a good day at work!

don't believe in soul mates but do believe I love this story
Author's Response: Haha, thank you! I'm so glad to hear that you do.

I really enjoyed the last two chapters. It was very amusing to see Pam and Jim try to communicate with Pam miming her way through the night. It showed more of their connection how they could speak through expressions. And it was rather sweet how Jim took care of Pam and indulged her insistence to make sure they were together at midnight. I also liked this chapter and that's not just because I kinda adore a drunk Pam. I do appreciate how the two of them really speak so openly together and I agree with Jim's perspective on soulmates. Sometimes, the way people paste on that "soulmate" label really dilutes what real love and real relationships are, IMO. Pam and Jim's confession to each other was nicely done and I look forward to them being in the same vicinity again.
Author's Response: Thanks for the wonderful review. I thought it would be sweet to show how much Jim really cared for Pam and how attentive he is in their relationship. Drunk Pam is so much fun! (Whooo!) Pam knocked up on antibiotics is even better. Haha. :P I can't wait to move onto the next chapter where those two will finally be together. I've always been iffy on the whole soul mate thing, but I'm also siding towards your (and Jim's-hehe) point of view.
