This popped up as the story of the moment and I'm glad I clicked, love reading and rereading your work, you really take the reader there with the imagery in your writing!

Stablergirl, reading you is like doing acid inside a rainbow: it's a flood of wonderful color and metaphor and simile. Thanks for another great trip!

Nice to see you back here, SG. Maybe a oneshot here and there will get you back into your writing. Anyway, no one should feel pressured to write, otherwise it just feels forced, hmm?
As usual, your dreamy imagery is lovely. I especially loved the "spider web" tangles between the glances and stares. And being the sucker I am for Jim POV stories (the poor guy), I was thrilled with the happy ending. Pam obviously put her sober up time to good use. She never even changed out of her work clothes. I imagine her sitting in the living room in the dark, with Roy still out, thinking over the events of the night and what it meant.
Thanks again.

I adore this story, && dare I say?
I think I heart you (:

I'm enjoying this acknowledging-the-truth Pam. Once again I see how little she needed to say to Jim, all he needed was her to see what was going on.
Nothing insightful to comment except I loved loved loved the following lines for the imagery and/or emotion.
channel surfing on my thirty two inch television because the rhythm of it suited me
I was wondering of you meant soothed instead of suited, but the point about the rhythm was dead on.
His head poked into the room carefully like the head of a turtle
He shrugged, walking away, and I was left with my previously coveted, now suffocating solitude.
IMHO, writing is trying to be your friend again. :)

Well, cut off my knees and call me shorty! It happened again. I wake up thinking of Harold Moran (yeah--I know that's weird...so sue me) and you materialize. I'm happy you're here, Stablergirl. Sorry you're having trouble writing, but you would never know it from this. I always get so caught up in your stories, and this is no exception. I'll have to borrow "the chili pepper scale" from bashert's new fic and rate this a "jalapeno." Loved it. There's just something about S2 Jim.

Yours words reached in and reached a place deep inside reserved for only the truest beauty and hope.
Your words made me feel deeply.
Thank you

Wow...very, very nice! You've wonderfully captured the inner essence of Jim's yearning with such fantastically evocative images like these: "Love, silent and regretful with ghostly tastes of things and vague half-certainties" and "I had to be dreaming because love happened some other way to me, not middle of the night visits and moonlit hair" and "I was no longer certain of the difference between dreams and real sollid things." Beautiful...simply beautiful!
