Ugh. This may be my favorite post-Booze Cruise fic of all time.

This story makes my heart so happy. It rings so very true, and makes me feel like I am truly in the middle of the action. How do you do that?
I am so very late to this party, but Pam and Jim make my heart soar. This story really takes my breath away.

“I’m going to kiss you, Beesly. I’m gonna kiss you so hard you’re gonna wish you had never laid eyes on Leonardo DiCaprio,” he growled threateningly into the phone.
“Where are you?”
That? That is sexy, right there. I love this. I love their late-night, When Harry Met Sally type phone calls, and the reason Pam had kept him at arms-length, and how it all just came together. This is good. I loved this from top to bottom, congratulations on a triumph!
“About four blocks away.”

I love this so much. I love the precarious balance between terror and absolute comfort. Also, going back, I love Pam's mom. Yay!

Excellent job, JAMhands. I'm sorry it's done! I really enjoyed reading this. The start to this chapter was particularly great. Being raised Catholic, I feel Jim's pain about lent. Very clever. The bed-time phone calls were a great way to bring them closer while keeping them feeling secure. Well done! *claps*
P.S. Thanks to JamJunkie for sharing you!

Okay, this was freaking fantastic. The perfect ending to the perfect story. I wonder if they woke the landlady after that one? ;) Do you know the landlady? She sounds familiar...
Anyway. Loved the banter, loved the ending... loved it all! Excellent job, thanks so much for this fantastic story! :)

Great ending! I love the whole discussion of the different meanings of abstinence. The chapter really builds up speed as it goes on and you can feel them sort of hurtling on toward the physical encounter they've both been craving.
I liked how your Pam refused to be pushed around, too. The interchange with Darryl in the last chapter was perfect.
Thanks for posting!

How do you do it EVERYTIME? Seriously you kill me... this chapter was amazing. I have loved this story since the beginning, but it just got better and better with each chapter. I'm sort of sad it's now over lol. I love all the movie references, that is so them =)

OMG, this was wonderful. Perfect. The interchanges are so well written. The Lent analogy, the Titanic teasing...
I especially loved this part:
“You’re too important to me,” Pam said bluntly, unwilling to be distracted by his soft chuckles and the husky timbre of his voice. “You are so important.”
Jim blinked up at his ceiling, wondering if his breastbone could withstand the beating his hammering heart was inflicting. “You’re, uh, everything,” he managed to croak. “I meant what I said, Pam, I’d save you first.”
“It‘s not up to you to save me,” she said, her voice softly vehement.

YAAAYYY! Oh, I've been wanting them to kiss for way too many chapters. That was excellent - loved the lent analogy. And now I want a Hostess cupcake.

God, you kill me. In the best of ways. I mean, from the DUI thing... wow, that was emotional and awesome. I loved the way Pam told him that no, she wasn't going to go back and take care of Roy. I was thrilled that Pam had made that decision! And ooh, Jim fixing things for Pam! All hot and sweaty, and... *focuses on story again* I love that Jim was trying to be friendly with Pam despite all the awkwardness. And Tagalongs are my weakness, too, Jim. ;-) Excellent as always.
Author's Response: It's your story, baby, and if the Junkie is happy then I am happy! rn*sends a case of Tagalongs and a hot, sweaty Jim Halpert for the Junkie's fix*

JAMhands, I'm so sorry to hear that you've had writer's block, but you would never know it from this gem. Wow. Lady, your stories are so consistently good. Really. This chap? Again, wow.
When he worked up the nerve to open his eyes, he gave her the first reason that came to mind. “You’re the reason that I get out of bed in the morning.” When I read that I literally got chills. Fantastic. I hope the block is gone and that you can update soon. Can't wait!
Author's Response: Thank you so much Nan! I appreciate you!

I love everything this chapter chooses to be, especially Assertive!Pam. You have really captured the dance they are doing well, cautiously proceeding. Brava, can't wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Jazzfan! I like that Pam is finding her more assertive side too.

This was great great great amazing and great. I love when Michael asked if Pam wanted a hug lmfao, and urgh, Darryl made me want to punch him in the face - but guh, Pam and Jim at the end made heart go splodey flutter with the cutness. I am so in love with this story!
Last line should win you a super award for being awesome!
Author's Response: I'd like to thank the academy and all of my good friends in the Office world for their support and encouragement, especially you!

This story is absolutely excellent in its authenticity. You make everything feel so very real, and it's subtle but powerful at the same time...just like Jim and Pam.
I can't wait for another installment!

Perfection. Total perfection. I love that Jim and Pam are sort of kind of talking, and I love that Pam is slowly but surely starting to realize what she wants and deserves! And aww, Jim! And Michael! PRICELESS! Awesome work as usual!

I liked this chapter. I think you did a good job of building the tension that Jim was feeling. I hope Pam doesn't try to be an island unto herself for TOO long.

Great chapter! I really liked Pam's interactions with her mom. I liked how the conversation between Jim and Pam flowed. It seemed very natural.
Looking forward to your next update!

YAAAAAAAAAAAY an update and a freaking great one at that. I never have anything useful or constructive to say, so I'll just tell you again how awesome I think this is. I love how Pam knows he's there and waiting patiently, and he knows she just needs time, but it's all still so exciting... omg I LOVE this more than you know -)
