There was such a large reposting of stories and this one (along with a few others,) were gone unnoticed by me. I'm very glad I saw it, though, because I have been thinking about this story; wondering when it was going to be updated. Silly me didn't know it's been updated!
Thank you for updating, this was so lovely. Very in character for both of them.
His eyes wrapped her up in their warmth. “I would never hate you, Pam.”
I can picture this so clearly in my head, and just the way he would say it... sigh
I can't wait to read the next story you have planned!
Also, I don't know if you can do this after it's been posted, but you said this is the final chapter, so you may want to mark this as complete, if you're finished :)

I'm working on my next story at the moment - it's going to be a bit silly, but still full of lots of tense Jim and Pam moments (the best kind).
Oh and thanks for the tip - I didn't realise you could do that. :)

Yes, that does sound like a mighty good day for Pam! Aw...if only this is how it'd gone down on the show. No months of anxiety or frustration, that's for sure! I love stories that involve season 3 angst followed by a sweet (and early) resolution and this definitely hit the spot :)
Also, as a fellow Aussie (but one who lives much further south), I'm sorry to hear you got flooded and I hope the damage isn't too catastrophic. I also hope you aren't near anywhere affected by Yasi. Take care!

This is such a cute story. I wish they would have done something simple like this on the show. I've been watching repeats of season 3, and there were so many moments where they could have gotten together. I enjoyed this and I look forward to your multi chapter. Hope things are okay down in Australia. I heard on the news today there was a terrible storm there. Hope you're safe and sound!
Author's Response: Thanks, pm. :-) I love all of the 'almost' moments in season 3 where they get close to connecting again! We're doing okay down here, although it's heartbreaking to hear of all the people that have lost their homes.

I really enjoyed this. It was a good moment of them connecting, but took it slow. I also like that you have Karen being nice to Pam. The only thing that threw me is Karen asking if Angela got narky. These characters are so definitively middle-class American that when fic writers have a Britishism coming out of one of their mouths, it takes me out of the story for a minute. But I appreciated the sentiment of the question.
I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.

I don't read as much as I used to, nor do I review like I should, but I wanted to review to tell you this is a really great story. I hope you continue this, and write even more stories. This feels like a fic that one of the older writers would have posted. Please stay with us. It seems when we get someone new, they are gone shortly after arriving. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Wow, loved this...reminds me of a bunch of classic 2007 era fics, with these two teetering on the edge of finding happiness in each other vs. protecting their own pride. I thought the conversation and the tension and emotions that came with it were exceptionally well done.
Author's Response: Thanks so much, brokenloon. Glad to hear the tension and emotions came through okay. My aim was to bring Jim and Pam together in an intimate moment without losing sight of the hurt and hesitancy that Jim would still be feeling.
