Ooooof. This (and all of Angela Kinsey's stories from OLP about her rapport with John Krasinski) REALLY make me wish we'd gotten more Angela/Jim interaction.

How fun! I was actually listening to Rooney's 'Merry Xmas Everybody' during this, so I am now completely in the mood. Unfortunately it's August.. But I'll read this again when it actually is christmas.=)

Wow, poor Jim... can't participate in secret santa.
aww, and Pam to the rescue. :)
Author's Response: Thanks for reading/for your comments! :)

something practical is exactly what my mom wants for her birthday. if we get her something ... nice... she returns it. and buys like a broom. its so sad.
Poor Jim, he would have done it. And Roy actually did it right... for once.
wow that christmas would be magical.

Wow. A whole box of condoms. That.... that is way to Michael....
And tall jim and short Angela and drunk angela in particular is fun.

Wow, Dwight and Jim... getting along. Seems nearly impossible to believe, but it must be true.
But yes, a matching tie... that would be a deal breaker.
Thats sweet of Phyllis. :)

I know you finished this one a while ago, but I just know discovered it and wanted to say that I really liked. I thought you captured all of the characters really well, Michael in particular.
Author's Response: Heh, funny time of year for Christmas stories, but I'm glad you found it and enjoyed it in spite of the season. Thank you so much for saying so!

Well done, Semby. I especially liked the moments of interaction with the other Office employees. Makes them seem more human, as opposed to the caricatures we're used to.

Aww cute I like the ending. That was really well written! I liked it!
Date: December 18, 2006 08:24 pm Title: Chapter 1
These were all great - I especially loved the "World's Best Employee" mug in the last one, and Dwight buying Jim a matching tie in the first one. And Jim lying about Katie, awkward!
Author's Response:
Thank you! Very glad you enjoyed them.
Oh, but making it seem like Jim was lying about Katy wasn't my intention! Just that things really hadn't been happening between them lately, but there was no official breakup and Katy didn't quite think they were as over as Jim was, and then, to Pam, it LOOKED like he'd been lying. (Just my little attempt at explaining how we went from "I haven't really talked to her in awhile" in Email Surveillance to him bringing her along in Booze Cruise). Still awkward, though!

I loved this. I loved all ten segments. You capture exactly what would upset Jim and exactly what would make him smile. Christmas inspires such good stuff!
Author's Response: Thank you :)

He just couldn’t get out the words come in handy.
Hee!!! Loved this line.
Loved DrunkAngela. What a great idea.
Author's Response:
Heh, thanks :)
And I felt bad that I felt like I had to get Angela liquored up to make her more human, but it was fun anyway!

but for once Roy had done exactly what he would have done – and Jim had nothing to gloat about.
I'm always on the lookout for good Roy moments. I really liked this one.
It's amazing to me when Michael actually gets something right. I like those moments, too. Bravo/Brava for a good chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you! I like Roy getting his good moments in every once in a while too. He had to be a decent, considerate fiance at least some of the time or she wouldn't have stayed with him all that time (she was no Fancy New Beesly yet, but even Old Settling Beesly wouldn't have put up with a guy who never ever made her happy!)

I loved all of these! Great job!
Author's Response: Thank you!

This was obviously magical. I really like how you went through Jim's Xmases at DM, coming full circle with his leaving. Very satisfying. (And I don't blame you for skipping 2006..too unnerving to think about!) Lots of touching moments - loved the bit about Phyllis's knitted hat especially - his reaction was so Jim. And ending with Pam giving him 'special treatment' - aahh, keeping my fingers crossed for Xmas 2007. Lovely, thanks!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! And yes, we can hope for Xmas '07 (the Jim and Pam as a couple part, not the both of them quitting part, for the good of the show, of course).

These were lovely. I like the back and forth of the awfulness and the sweet - very much like the show itself.
Well done!
Author's Response: Thank you! I almost did it in two chapters: one with all the bad, one with all the good, but it definitely seemed like it would be too much at once of either. Back and forth felt like a better balance.

What a great job, Semby. I really enjoyed this.
Author's Response: Thank you!

a mug with big bold letters: World’s Best Employee.
This made me feel squishy inside. What a lovely touch.
Author's Response: Oh, good! I wasn't sure I'd used a gift that was appropriate and sufficiently sappy, so squishy feelings are good :)

her smokescreen “everything is cool here” face.
Nice.
Author's Response: Thanks! :)

I loved them all (Dwight and THE TIE OHMIGOD HOW IS THAT NOT CANON) so much. This last one made me grin like crazy. I think Michael's got a crush.... *whistles*
Author's Response: Thank you! It is my favorite idea in the world that Dwight liked Jim at first and his reaching out as friends just became TOO much and weird for Jim, which is where the pranking began (totally supported by Dwight wanting to connect with Ryan and mentioning that he and Jim never got along, so the tie could TOTALLY BE CANON). *cahem* And I have a soft spot for Michael when he gets all... soft and squishy.
