Let's talk about the fact that unless a girl walks past you in the office it seems you couldn't find a date if you tried. Brilliant and bitter! Just the kind of thing that's probably eating away at her. I tried to resist reading until more was posting because I so hate to be a nag, hugs, but what's gonna happen next? Pretty please??!! ;)
Author's Response: I loved her saying that - because c'mon. Kinda true!!! Poor Pam. I seriously want to lock the two of them in a room together and let them go at it.

A day ago such an admission would have reduced her to tears. Today, anger flashed in her eyes.
You go, Pam. I'm firmly in the pro-Pam camp, anyway. I love that she's moved from depression to anger- but she had better NOT get to acceptance!
Author's Response:
Well maybe she will. Maybe she'll finally ACCEPT the fact for the boy to get a clue she has to jump him.
What???
:) Thanks Lis!

Fantastic! And worth my staying up too late (and yes, I may still think that in the morning -- lol!). Funny how Jim is/was expecting of Pam what he's not willing to do himself. Looking forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you!! So glad you enjoyed it. Sorry you deprived yourself of sleep!! Next chapter coming up!!
Date: January 09, 2007 10:21 pm Title: Hell hath no fury...
Oooh...Can't wait to see what happens next. Great job Xoxo!
Author's Response: Something good. I can promise that. LOL! Thanks LoveFool!

I love this. Pam so needs to show Jim that he's not the only one hurting here. Sometimes these guys need a good smack on the head. I do so want to see the writers incorporate some of this into the "Confronting CN" scene. They need to release this hurt and anger before we see them fall into each other's arms.
Great work. Looking foward to more. :)
Author's Response:
Thank you. It's really satisfying to have her say everything I wish she would. And even more satisfying that Jim barely gets a word in.
Next chapter - maybe - we'll see what he's thinking. :)

I like how you presented the idea of how, in Jim's world, Pam was supposed to leave Roy as soon as he confessed his feelings, but now he couldn't "do that" to Karen.
Author's Response:
Thanks. In this piece I wanted to showcase Pam - and it would make sense I think. I don't think Jim realizes the position he put Pam in. He was simply hurt that she didn't immediately tell him what he wanted to hear - and he's justified in feeling that way - but it doesn't make it right.
Hopefully - I can remedy that in the next chapter. :)

I am now completely convinced that we need to see this side of Pam on the show. It's about time that she lets out a little of that rage you just know she's got built up inside of her.... Plus, it would be awesome to see Jim completely thrown off guard by her.
Oh, and yeah, I love this. I find myself wanting to cheer after almost every line. Go Pam!
Author's Response:
Oh please. I'd love to see both of those things. Pam angry - Jim shocked as all hell.
Go Pam indeed! Thanks shannanagin!

Woooo!!! Just what I wanted! Call him on his shit, Pam, call him on it!
Author's Response:
Heee! I know!! I gotta tell you writing this is soooo satisfying.
There's more to come. Where she's done talking. :)

Wow I love Pam in this chapter. She's really expressing herself.
Author's Response:
Meee too! And it's about time I think!! Thanks gotkona!

awww...
yey for Pam being the bigger person!!...err, sort of.
She brings up really good points, though. And sometimes Jim is just so dense.
Thanks!
cheers.

Author's Response:
Yeah sort of.
Jim will get some time to talk next. Well...sort of. ;)
Thanks as ever for the review Lex! Always great to hear from you!!

"His utter disbelief is clearly evident in his voice. "I know I didn't just hear you say that you think what I feel for you is anywhere near…" I was pleased he used the word feel instead of the past tense, but then he said he was with Karen and my heart frowned. Best line ever was Jim asking if she was going to yell at him the whole drive home! Even fighting the conversation is so them. Can't wait to read the next chapter!
Author's Response:
You know what? When I first wrote it I said "felt... and ...was" But then I switched it. Because even if Pam didn't pick up on it - in my mind he had to phrase it that way. Why?
BECAUSE IT'S TRUE. :)

I've read lots of Office fanfic, but this is my first review. Because THIS is the way I've always pictured they would start the process of getting back together. Awesome reading. I can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response:
Sheppy - thanks so much for reviewing. I'm so glad something I wrote spurred you to do so.
Next chapter soon!! I promise!

How perfect that she turned the scenario around on him. When she asks 'Do you even think about me at all anymore?' I seriously teared up. Her anger, her hurt...and especially her exhiliration at finally expressing it, is so powerful here. I don't know who feels more purged - Pam or I! And when she stops for him, just can't bring herself to leave him out in the cold (literally and figuratively)...well, of course she couldn't.
You know I'm a big fan of all your stuff...but this is seriously addictive. I may need Betty Ford after this one, xoxox.
Author's Response:
Crying Pam is killing me. I'm desperate to make her feel better. And at this point - I think it's going to take her spilling all - whether angrily or not - to make it happen. I've been choked up writing this - so I'm so glad it's hitting you that way too.
And of course she stops. C'mon now...
If you need Betty Ford - trust me - I'll be right there w/you.
Thanks so much!

I like this because I feel like Pam sometimes get the raw end of the deal from people. I like how he tried to stop her by saying he was with Karen and couldn't do that to her, and she called him on it, big time. Awesome chapter!
Author's Response: I do too. Which is not to say that Pam doesn't have a part in why they aren't together. She's just as "guilty" as he is. If guilty is even the right word. It was not an ideal situation all around. But I have hope and faith that one day they'll finally get their acts together. Until then - I'm going to MAKE THEM. :)

Awesome! I'm not sure why, but I'm really enjoying reading about Pam yelling at Jim. A lot. Thank you!
Author's Response:
I'm not sure why - but I LOVE writing her yelling at Jim. I think it's because we just saw her cry. :(
So - you're welcome!

Oooh, I love this. I love that Pam is finally saying what's on her mind. Can't wait for more!
Author's Response:
Yes she is - and I gotta tell you - it's cathartic for me as well.
Thanks for the review!!

This rings truer to me than most of the other "confrontation" scenes I've read. She should be pissed. The line about how she was supposed to just give Roy up in an instant, but the same rules don't apply to him is spot-on. Can't wait to read his response! Great job!
Author's Response:
Thanks Stef!! I'm so glad it works for you. I've really struggled to make it believable - since we've never seen Pam lose her cool before.
And yeah - double standard anyone???
Thanks again!

Oh you wanton tease!!!!
This was sooo good, sooo very them. please get moving on the next chapter!!
Author's Response:
Yep. That's me!!!
Thanks Mox! I'm working on it!!!

Poor Pam, walking in Jim's shoes now. Ouch.
OMG, I cannot freaking wait for the next chapter. And Pam & Jim snowed in somewhere. Yes, that's it -- total blizzard, they're stuck at his place and have to think of something to do to keep warm.
Author's Response:
Stuck at his place. Hmmm. What a novel concept. ;)
Date: January 09, 2007 12:11 pm Title: Hell hath no fury...
Aw, even when she's angry Pam can't resist him. I liked this chapter, with Pam getting more out into the open, telling him how she really feels. It's about time she's truthful! This is awesome, xoxoxo! Can't wait to read more!
Author's Response:
I mean seriously. Who can???
Yes. It is absolutely about time. Not sure if we'll ever see it - but it's sure fun writing it!!
Date: January 08, 2007 02:42 pm Title: The beginning of the end...
I loved pissed-off Pam. You've communicated the hurt and frustration *so* well...can't wait to read Jim's reaction to her.
Author's Response:
hee! You'll have to wait till Chapter 3 to really see Jim's reaction to her. Right now I'm really trying to focus on what Pam is feeling - rather than put you inside Jim's head.
I'm so glad you liked it.

Wow love brave and outspoken Pam.
Author's Response: Me too - gotkona. Me too! :)

I love stories where Pam finally Spits. It. Out. I'm tired of seeing her stumble over words and being passive. Pissed!Pam is my new favorite Pam. Can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response:
I know. I just wanted to find a situation where she'd just have had enough. Glad it worked for you too! Thanks so much for reviewing.
Date: January 08, 2007 10:08 am Title: The beginning of the end...
ohhhh. sad. but yay for pam letting jim have it! woot!
Author's Response: It'll get better. Stay tuned. :)

Gah! That's the end?! I need more! Waaaah!
Ahem. That was really nice. Still in Pam's voice even through the fury--quite a trick.
Author's Response: More coming soon. I promise! Thank you so much!
