“How could you not want life with Jim?” Pam blurts.  What a great line in a story filled with great lines.  I love how you portrayed Karen with such honest emotion.  Very well done!

This is just amazing - insightful, well written, and captures the other side of it so well.  Thanks for this!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for saying such nice things!  And thank you so much for reading!

Aww, the fact that Jan couldn't stop smiling about Michael's stupid plans = <3.  And I really liked this reason for a Jim/Karen break up... it's sorta blameless.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for reading!  I sort of can't resist the idea of Jan falling in love with all of Michael's plans.

okay, can i just say that that was soooo cool. really, awsome job with the break up. i really like karen and she just catches too much flack, but you really showed what a good person she is! i'm definitely team pam, but karen rocks, too!

Author's Response: Thanks!  I'm on Team Pam, too, but I just can't hate Karen.  I just wanted to write something that gave her some power to be happy.  Thanks for reading!

She’s not sure if it was losing her or just losing someone again.

Poor Jim, so desperate to try to be happy. This is a very different take, and one that I would love to see the show go with. Karen and Jim aren't right for each other, and I'd love for Karen to be the one to see it- with no reference to Pam at all. This was very sweet.

Author's Response: Thank you so much!  I totally agree that Jim and Karen aren't right for each other.  This was sort of inspired by Karen's brief talking head in Safety Training. I think she's a fairly receptive person, and if she wasn't happy I think she'd be the one to get out of the relationship.  Thanks for reading!

I love this take on Karen--especially that last line!  Ahhh!  Great job.

Author's Response: Thank you so much!

Okay, that was absolute sweetness.  I love Karen in this.  I have actually had a girlfriend try to get her boyfriend (my best friend) to go out with me because she thought we'd be better together than they would, so while some people might say it's unrealistic of Karen to do that, I really like that she did.  And she's pretty perceptive, so I can see her making that connection.  Great story.  I love it.

Author's Response: Thank you!  I think that Karen making the connection is a little fluffy, of course, but I wanted her to be able to leave not as a villian.  I agree that she's very perceptive, and I like to think that if she were the one to break up with Jim she wouldn't want to hurt him if she could avoid it.

Very nice!  I hope Karen actually is going to realize that Jim is not the guy for her...

Author's Response: Thanks!  I hope Karen realizes it too...and soon would be nice.  :)
