That's absolutely what I look for ina roommate ;) This whole series is just way too good for words: the banter's spot on, the getting to know you so cute and accurate. This last chapter was interesting with the hint of angst...but totally believable. I have no doubt that they've talked about the Roy factor, but I can totally see Jim letting out just how much it really got to him when he's just completely wasted. And he's a cute drunk! Also, can I say kudos for using the basketball "let's get you into a tub" line? Because I've always been fascinated by that line for the very reason you've pointed out here: it's Pam trying to convince herself that, oops, yep, Jim's hot and that's not a good thing so let's try and remember that Roy is the fiance.
Anywhoo, this was so so adorable, and just what I needed before I start the work week!

This is pretty much a blanket review for the entire series, because this is exactly what I was looking for when I started searching for JAM fanfic - something probable, sweet, natural, and funny. I get a little uncomfortable reading too much steamy stuff when it comes to these two because their story doesn't play out that way on the show. This series has it juuuuuust right, and you know these characters and their speech patterns as well as any of the staff writers! Bravo!

hahaha...my friend seems like the most uppity music person you'd ever meet and is super smart (went to Berkeley, is in grad school on a full ride) and she has the cheesiest Top 40 on her iPod. It's for "working out"...sure it is. Anyway, I just meant to say that this is very realistic. Moving on to the next chapter :)

Just a suggestion: you may want to clarify that Jim didn't really break up with her over a Kelly Clarkson song (maybe add that he smiled after he said "we're through". Just a thought. Great story, though! I can't wait to read more!

Y'know...I had been kicking around an idea to do something like this, but I won't now, since it'd never be as good as this! :)
And poor Jim... I suppose the only thing more shameful to have on one's iPod than Kelly Clarkson is Hanson.
