Between 'expired yogurt', the Office Olympics and The Job, this is one of the themes that gave the whole show continuity, realness and greatness. How does yogurt give a TV show greatness? Not sure, but it did!

Author's Response: I don't think I've ever gotten more excited for a piece of a disposable food container as I did for that gold yogurt lid in The Job

yes, OO was a good episode, but then with the call back, its one of my favorite episodes. i am so loving these. and haha. see, we are having this event at my school. and i got to think of names for each of the days. and one of the days we are having games out on the street. and so i named it measles olympics after office olympics. since its all for measles, ya know. i wanted to name it office olympics, but i figured people would get very confused. or totally get the joke and be like "awesome, an office fan!" and then give us tons more money. or something like that.

Does anyone else feel that "The Job" turned Office Olympics from an okay, middle of the road episode to a pretty good one?

Hey, I never felt that Office Olympics was a middle-of-the-road episode. For me, it's always been one of the funniest, Jammiest, sweetest episodes. :) Loved your idea of what Jim does with his yogur-lid medal.

Author's Response: I shouldn't say it's bad, but nothing about it ever stood out to me, but now I love it.

The shadowbox comment was superb.  I could actually hear Jim saying it.  IMing is the best medium ever, huh?

Author's Response: There's definitely some advantages. Thanks, I'm pretty proud of the shadowbox comment.

"Office Olympics" has always been one of my favorites, but recent events make it even more special.

I like the 'shadow box' best of all here.  And triple O.  ;)

Author's Response:

I was wondering if a guy like Jim would know what a shadow box is, but I figured if he used fabric softener . . .

I like the "triple O" part also, I can see Pam typing it then realizing a split second after she hits "enter" that it didn't sound good . . or rather sounded too good, hehe

Flonkerton reference? Sneaky and dawesome! I love this story so far and the fact you're using IM conversations to tell the story.

Author's Response: What are you talking about, there's no hidden meaning behind my mention of Flonkerton *shifty eyes* Thanks for reading!

I really liked Office Olympics before The Job, since it was a great episode for all of the characters, especially Jim, but The Job made it that much better.
Good job, here!

I pretty much always thought Office Olympics was an awesome episode, but I agree that The Job added that little extra specialness to it. And Ryan is SO in trouble with the International Office Olympic Commission! But at least Jim sticks to the rules :)

Author's Response: Yeah, the IOOC doesn't care much for that Ryan character. Maybe Kelly can team up with them for her revenge! Thanks for commenting.

ladama, I continue to love everything you choose to write.  Also, yes, I really liked Office Olympics before The Job, but after The Job, it is legendary.

Thanks, can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Aw, does that mean I'm like the opposite of Toby? :-)

I am loving all of these. So cute! So Jam. So fluffy! And fluffy is good. Thanks for posting them!

Author's Response: Thank you, though I hope it's not too fluffy . . . I try to also have a little tension in some of these too ;-)

Author's Response: Working on a Sunday? Bummer. I love their little flirting too. Happy Jim and Pam makes me happy. Thanks for the comment.

This:

pambeesly: it's just a yogurt lid

jimhalpert: what do you mean just a yogurt lid?

jimhalpert: it's my gold medal in dunderball

jimhalpert: as well as a reminder that sometimes I do actually have fun at this place

was awesome and made me smile.  And yes, I have ten times more love for "Office Olympics" since seeing the finale.

Author's Response: Thanks, I like that exchange too. I'd like to think Jim still does have that yogurt lid, what do you think?

Office Olympics was already in my Top Ten -- The Job just nudged it up there.  Sweet chapter, BTW!

Author's Response: Ah, see, nothing about it really stood out to me before The Job (ironic since my fansite is name ed Flonkerton . . .), but of course now I love it.
