Pam pointing out that actually Cugino's would have been their first date has been head-canon for me ever since, because it softens the blow of that ending SO MUCH... and explains why there are apparently no repercussions in their relationship from that really sharp moment.

Wow, this is great. I love the fact that (as heartbreaking as it is), Pam considers Cuginos a 'date'. And that they made up. Yay.

Aww. And this is why Jim was drowning, because she would give him just enough to keep him in the water, but not enough to let him float.

Author's Response: Yep, she always gave him just enough to keep his hope alive.

I love that Pam carried this conversation because she needed to apologize for being short with Jim and dismissing him. I think that was a really nice touch.
And this is extra fun, cause now I am trying to watch episodes in time with your story! Yay. Tons of fun.

Author's Response: Yeah, Pam and Jim didn't have a very good run from about The Fire through The Client. It felt good to add a little resolution to those episodes.
And I love that you're watching the show along with reading the chapters! That makes me happy :)

This is just all so dreamy.  You really are enriching each episode with these IM stories.

Thanks, ladama!

Author's Response: Oh, I'm enriching them, good :)

I love every one of these. It really brings me back to each episode and I really feel like they fit right in with what was going on at the time. Keep em coming :)

Author's Response: Thanks, that's what I'm trying to do, I'd like to think of these as almost a supplement to the show. I'll keep 'em coming as long as you guys keep reading and reviewing ;)

That's nice.  But Pam, wake up and smell the coffee, dearie!

Author's Response: Yeah, the sad thing about these chapters is we're in the throws of Pam's deep denial, and then when we get to season 3, it'll be all about Jim's denial. They'll get on the same page eventually though.

yay Pam!  That would make 'it's a date', the third date then.  (So she could totally jump Jim and not be a slut.  Not that anyone here would blame her).

"oh, well, I didn't really do you any favors then, did I?"   So cute.  They trapped each other in the loony bin, didn't they?

Author's Response: Whoohoo, 100 reviews! Yes, the post Job date is totally their 3rd "First Date". So do what needs to be done, Pam! I'm glad you like that line, I actually just added it right before I posted, I figured that was a good place for some light hearted sarcasm.
