Ow, ow, ow... I know the train is coming, but I can't seem to get off of the tracks...
These are great, BTW.

I like how you played it out here. I would bet that he did find out via e-mail or IM. Ouch.

Oh, there was tissues needed that night, fo sho.
Another great one, ladama.
Author's Response: Thank, I was worried the tissue reference would be a little tacky, but people seem to like it.

I like the eloping line.
Sounds like a little story that I know!
Author's Response: Um . . . are you refering to yourself maybe? Or many one of your own fics?

I haven't seen anything indicating when Jim found out yet on the S3 DVDs. There's no Convention commentary, sadly. So I think you're safe, there.
This is a really good chapter, and very interesting, since it fills in a gap and moves the story along as opposed to reacting just to whatever happened.
I love Kevin's reference to the gaydar.
Author's Response: Thank you, and yes, I figured Kevin would love the gaydar ;-)

This line "well, there's always the eternal dilemma of whether I'm gonna eat in the breakroom or in the kitchen" sounds very Jim to me. :)
I like how you put in a Jan phone call...
Author's Response: Hehe, he's just trying to make his life more exciting :-)

Good chapter. I love how they're still okay here and can talk about it. I also really enjoyed that Pam was sorry about her Angela treatment and Jim acknowledged he should have told her sooner regarding that.
Author's Response: I just wanted to make everything right in this episode, it's still sad to watch.

Oh, I love how you have Pam foreshadowing with the crying. And Jim's life of quiet desperation, where his only big question is where to eat the lunch he packed from home. Just great job with the angst.
Author's Response: Well, that and whether or not he should tell Pam he's desperately in love with her. Gotta love the angst.

Jim finding out on IM? Harsh. I like to think maybe someone called him to let him know, but you're probably right. I bet everyone assumed he knew so no one went to call him. And I love Kev's screenname. Very appropriate. I'm glad you explored this in IM, but I would have loved to see how Pam found out that Jim left.
Author's Response: I think he at best got an email. Pam finding out Jim left/was leaving was probably an exercise in denial where she would tell everyone including herself that she was happy Jim got a promotion.

Aww, these past two chapters are really well done, with Pam trying to make things normal and Jim kind of just going with it half-heartedly. Liked the mention of Jan, and Jim's quick brushing off of it. I'm really looking forward to reading the season three ones!
Author's Response: Season 3 will be a roller coaster for sure, but stick with it ;-)

This is the most adorable chapter of all. It is so COMPLETELY Jim, even without a word being said. If you wrote no other chapters, this would still be a winner. Thanks so much!
Author's Response: Ah, well, I guess I can stop, then . . . hehe ;-) Glad you liked it.

I laughed out loud at the "waxing" line, and Pam's last line is very funny. I am so enjoying these!
Author's Response: You literally lol'ed? I'm very excited about that.

Oh, I LOVE the missed message at the end. Awww!
Author's Response: Yeah, I do as well. I like having my heart broken for some reason.

then he had to report Michael for something
You know, I've always wondered why Michael hates Toby so much, and this very simple, very believable explanation never occurred to me. Wonderful!
Author's Response: Oh, poor Toby, he would have been fired about 57 times by now if he wasn't "Corporate"

the gears are already turning in your head, aren't they?
I love that line. So Pam. She knows him so well.

Does anyone else feel that "The Job" turned Office Olympics from an okay, middle of the road episode to a pretty good one?
Hey, I never felt that Office Olympics was a middle-of-the-road episode. For me, it's always been one of the funniest, Jammiest, sweetest episodes. :) Loved your idea of what Jim does with his yogur-lid medal.
Author's Response: I shouldn't say it's bad, but nothing about it ever stood out to me, but now I love it.

OMG, this was my favorite one! How cute!

This is TOTALLY what Jim would have done regarding IM on that day. Hilarious.
Author's Response: Heh, thanks, it was one of my more inspired moments.

That is an impressive use of smiley faces!

Jim's smileys crack me up -- this was a great chapter!!!

Ha! I love the one with the dollar sign. I'm going to start using that.

Excellent way of handling this episode, ladama. Truly innovative. But on another note, I love how Pam called him out and told him he probably could have purchased a coke by now. Oh the games they play.
Author's Response: Yeah, I mean, come on, how hard is it to get a coke?
Date: September 07, 2007 03:33 am Title: Drug Testing
HA! That was awesome. Best non-use of words ever. Of course Jim would be the master of choosing the appropriate smilies.

Hee! Such a great idea with this one! I love this whole fic!

wow...that is awesome! I can't believe you pulled off an im conversation adhering to the unflinchingly ridgid rules of jinx! Well Done ;-)
Author's Response: Exactly, they are unflinchingly rigid . .
