Huh. You come at this from an angle I hadn't considered- and it works beautifully. Ryan's absolute condescension would definitely extend to Jim, and to imply that he's holding Pam back...nicely done. VERY nicely done. I think you capture Jim's speech pattern here extremely well, too. Ahh, MTT, never leave us again!

This is a great snippet that I'm sure really took place between them. And I would love to see some jealous!Ryan try and come between Jim and Pam and the ensuing rump-kicking that would surely result. Poor Ryan would be forced to retreat back to his new corporate cocoon with his tail between his legs again... :)

Author's Response: Hey CM...you know I almost made this chapter longer, but I just couldn't think of how it would really go down between Ryan and Jim. Jim seems so non-confrontational and that he would almost be more passive agressive in his retaliation....we'll see what happens. This was great! I can completely see Ryan slamming Jim and Pam's relationship like that. And bringing up the possibility of Jim holding Pam back- i definately agree with moofoot that that is something that could come up later.
