This is tremendously well-written ensemble fic.

Okay, I want to add to my previous, highly inarticulate review. I, too, sometimes use words like a grown-up and I shall demonstrate.

Your choices of telling character detail are exquisite. I love how every moment you’ve chosen for our little ensemble is a moment of quiet win (except maybe Andy’s—it’s hard to tell, lol.) Your insight into every one of them is a little thing of beauty. And I really hope you’re still getting notified about your reviews after all these years because I’d really like to know if you’ve written anything else I can read. Like, anything. Let me know, if so!

I just found this at random and wanted to say what beautiful vignettes these were.

Loved every little bit of this! It's full of really spot-on characterization and has a great flow between each story.

So beautiful and wonderful. You have an amazing insight into who these characters really are, and the style with which you wrote this piece just made it a pleasure to read.

This was incredible. You have fantastic insight into the characters. All of them were just the right length, too.

Beautiful. Every single one of them. Especially Ryan's. And Karen's. And Jim's... and Creed's.

Really great, obviously.  The characterization is spot on and the scenes all work, but what stood out for me is the quality of the writing itself--It's so flawless; there's not a word out of place, and your prose is stylish in an understated way.  And the sixers mom blog idea is a winner for sure, and very true to what Jim is about.

Really, really great.

Author's Response: "Stylish in an understated way." Man, I'd totally take that for my tombstone, but it'll more likely end up something like "Loved cheese a little too much." Thanks for the kind words!

That was fantastic. Usually, with longer stories, my attention wanders, but this one held me from beginning to end. Great job.

Author's Response: My attention usually wanders when I try to write the longer stories, which is why I like doing these little short ones so much. Thanks for reading!

Love how you interweave these scenarios and return to each character - creates a really nice rhythm overall. Also how each scene encapsulates a simple eloquent moment, without belaboring it. Darryl/Kelly were especially touching and Jan's portrayal was really apt. Clever - and perfectly Jim - idea for his blog and Stanley is a man after my heart with his love of Inspector Lynley (Havers is my girl, lol.) So, yeah, something to love in all these bits - really enjoyed this.

Author's Response: Awesome, glad you dug. I toyed around with the sequence for a while, so I'm glad that worked. It still feels like a little back-heavy, like the longer ones come at the end a little? But maybe that's for the best. Thanks for reading!

Oh, I really liked that! Especially Jim's blog portion - that's so delightfully him. Great job!

Author's Response: Yeah, I even considered registering the blogspot.com address, but then I caught a reflection of myself in the window next to me and realized that if I CREATED A BLOG FOR A FAKE CHARACTER IN A FAKE FICTION I would be actually, totally batshit crazy. I'm comfortable riding that edge of insanity, but I'm not quite ready to take the full-on plunge.

Thanks for reading and commenting, though, I really appreciate it.

the Jim that came back to Scranton not just because he realized Pam Beesly loved him, but because New York also scared the shit out of him.

Brilliant insight. This motivation had not occurred to me.

Beautifully written, as always. I especially love Creed's rediscovery of his love of music, and Darryl with Kelly and his daughter. Just lovely work, all the way around. Thanks for this.

Author's Response: I always thought that during the interview sequence in The Job, you can actually see Jim sorta, even before the finding of the yogurt lid, have second thoughts about NYC. His very unconvincing "Yeah, I love the energy... and the architecture..." response just seemed to me to be coming from someone who, okay, maybe not scared shitless by NYC, but at least maybe wondering if he really wants to live in the concrete jungle.

Thanks tons for the kind words, they mean a lot.

Loved each and every one of these.  Each character's voice is perfect, and I especially liked Darryl and Kelly.  Loved all the little details, too, like Pam's Ebony and Kevin's high hat.  Looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Kevin's a jazz drummer, and every jazz drummer knows high-hats are where it's at. Glad you enjoyed it!

This is very nice.  So sympathetic to all the characters and really believable scenarios for their interactions.  I like it a lot.

Author's Response: Thanks much. One of my favorite parts of this show is how much they manage keep any character from being completely unsympathetic (though I think they verge into that territory with Meredith, but that's another conversation). Thanks for reading and commenting.
