8 Hee! This is very funny. My favorite part is "He should have paid better attention in science classes. Maybe he should have been a scientist." I love how Ryan is always looking for an escape route, any route at all.
Jim's almost gotten used to narrating his life into a camera lens for the consumption of strangers. Like having a blog, but more embarrassing.10 Had a crap day and felt like reading this one again to cheer me up. This fic is a big red shiny heart-shaped box of chocolates.

I loved your take on this. I've seen a few takes on the Christmas card but this is by far my favorite.

9 Two characters I adore, both stuck in such sad ruts, but yet managing to inspire each other into some sort of escape...I can't tell you how much I loved this story.

9 Okay, this is just great...and I loved the signs theme running throughout, with the horoscopes and the feathers, and the hopeful hidden meaning Kelly finds in everything.
"The feathers on her cuff must have tickled his ear, because he flinched and rubbed at the spot with the back of his hand, and it was silly but it reminded her of how boys acted in second grade when they were afraid of girl cooties."

I really enjoyed this. I was talking about it elsewhere and realized I should probably take my thoughts and write you a review! So here's pretty much what I said. :-) The writing style of this is unique, and rare in this fandom in that it's so spare. The short, punchy sentences were pretty much exactly the opposite of most of the sort of stream-of-consciousness style fic that we get around here. But stylistically that fit in well with the zombie-horror movie theme--it gives the fic a unique bleakness, I think, that I especially noticed in the conversations, like with Angela and Pam at the beginning. Which seemed real to me, like the kind of terse conversation two office workers who don't like each other would really have. And the Dwight moments were hysterical.

I really tried to maintain the \"realness\" of this fic by using short and terse vernacular and dialect; I basically tried to make it sound as real as I could with out making it sound too over the top, even if it is about zombies. I hope you enjoy the next chapters!
8 Still catching up on stuff. This is a really really well-done fic. I'm starting to love Jim/Kelly fic and this is a great one. Terribly sad, perfectly in character. Loved it.

Okay, find out what it means to me—”8 Okay, I'm finally getting around to reading this one, and there is some really great stuff in here. The "two daddies" conversation made me laugh out loud. The feel of the show is very present in this.
8 I really enjoyed the banter at the beginning of this, with the off-track betting and the pigtails. And whoever above who said Jim/Toby is love was so very right.

10 This is a stunning fic. I loved the Jim/Pam/Karen part, but was most impressed with your insight into the secondary characters (Stanley in particular, man, he never shows up in fic and you nailed him in 100 words). Really marvelous.
