Could be kinda in response to The Injury challenge. Jim suddenly has a lot of time to contemplate and reminisce. So funny and so sweet at the end - and their voices really came through. Very believable.
And, by the way...I seem to recall someone once claiming they weren't good at writing the steamy (that was you, right?) - well, I beg to disagree!

Well done - especially the dialogue. J&P's voices really come through. The scene where they're...against the door....was also extremely potent, no pun intended (well maybe a little bit.)
Jim sees a therapist. Starts in the midst of season two. 
10 Just wanted to chime in to say that I've really been enjoying this story. This isn't an easy format to write in (except maybe for DFW!) and you're pulling it off really well. Sad and lovely. Hoping for more chapters soon.
It's the hottest June on record and desperate times call for desperate measures.
I don't know exactly where to place this story. It's June - but Pam definitely isn't married and Jim hasn't said anything. So maybe June of Season 1? Just work w/me people. :)
10 This story is totally fun...perfect end of summer distraction. And thank god someone got Jim wet...too much dry Jim in these stories, that's what I say!

10 Another fun chapter - love Phyllis winking, could just see it. Also, how non-chalant Jim is about taking his shirt off - something very sexy about him being comfortable in his own skin, so to speak (I always imagine him that way in those scenes with Pam.) Two stories from you in one morning - I'm going to get greedy if you keep this up!
Great story - perfect balance of tension/cuteness. (JK had no idea what he was unleashing when he posed for that Elle photo!)
Now how about a story about 'Shirtless Friday'?
10 Love Kelly and it's so great when her voice comes through in a story like it does here. I really hope they have her commenting on Jim and Pam on the show (if/when that moment ever comes!) In the meantime, this was a great treat.

They say there are 5 stages of grief - Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance. You'll see Pam go through them - with some future fluff every other chapter to keep you from pulling your hair out. There will be 10 chapters in all. :)
Ah...sweet and sexy in a lovely understated way too. Probably kind of obvious by now, but these small intimate moments are my favorite...and I'm with Pam - who'd want him to leave?
OK - now I'm second guessing myself. Which one is it? I or me???? LOL! Pick whichever is right and pretend that's the one I meant to use. ;)
FYI - me thinks it's 'not I'...but either way, if I were Pam, I'd nail his shoes to the floor. And then lock the doors and throw away the key.

10 Go, Jim. You tell her. Love when he says, 'Congratulations, you're on to me.' He's very sexy when fed up and sarcastic, and that's not easy to pull off.

And it's so fun to write him this way. I almost think he needs to be like this in S3 - because he's put himself so far out there already- Pam either needs to reciprocate in some way shape or form or he's got to walk away completely.

10 Oh goody - another installment, just what I was hoping for this morning. Loved the Lifetime movie reference (clearly we think alike - see my first fic and you'll see what I mean!) Depressing or not, still captivating.

Happy to oblige. I remember your Lifetime thing - (Valerie Bertinelli wasn't it??? Loved that!) It was on my mind actually due to Paul Lieberstein's recent interview - where he mentioned that his sister, who is also Greg Daniels' wife, is President of Lifetime. And yes. I manically read anything Office related and translate pieces of that info fanfic.

This is just so delicate and beautiful and really nails the pathos of this episode. Especially love your first and last lines - he's a shadow/his words are like clouds. Perfect images to describe how she feels his huge presence in her life by his absence and how nebulous/ungraspable the things she really needs from him have become. So, so sad.
If only. I love that he gets why her doing this is important, notices how she's dressed and that it means something...this has that specific mix of tenderness and funny and deep understanding that makes the Jim/Pam relationship so relatable and lovely . (And that I've missed so much in the actual show lately.) The last sentence is good and it hurts.
10 This precisely captures the tone and substance of that scene - Jim's sad, hopeless, resignation about Pam; how sweetly he wants to reassure Michael of their friendship; his attraction/repulsion about confiding in Michael...just perfect. So poignant. And I think Michael's voice reads loud and clear.

Even their final words - 'um' and 'yeah' are eloquent and speak volumes the way you've used them. This just summed up so much, so succinctly.

I've alluded to both J&P as giver/recipient, but not as explicitly in my fics (tho Random Scenes and Winter's Eve, have fairly explicit accounts of their respective travels to the netherworld.) However, after reading your story, I feel downright prudish...and here I felt like such a dirty girl before. Wow. Thanks for having more nerve than I.
10 This is seriously good. So many great passages - 'his own personal fat lady', thinking 'he was salvaging his dignity'....you so capture his despair and he's so recognizably Jim. That's two for two for you today alone - please make more!
