What happened before and after the little scene in Jim's bedroom in "E-Mail Surveillance"?
Loved Pam checking out all Jim's stuff - really conveyed how intimate that would feel to her, given their dynamic. Always thought this was one of their most telling scenes (in the show,) so it was great to see someone 'go there' in a fic.
Jim and Pam are together. They have a fight.

10 These are great moments. They really maintain a tone that feels very Jim. The ending of the second one (Pam's lilacs) was perfect yet wrenching. Made the final one such a relief ('walking a little funny' - I can so picture it.) Big sigh.
Inspired by a certain deleted scene from the Client. 10 Just saw the deleted scene last night, then woke up and read this - now I'm going to be haunted by it all morning (day? week?) This is so sad and sweet and so Jim.
Well, the DVDs have given us all a wealth of new inspiration....so here's my being undisciplined and giving in. :o) Right now, I'm planning to cover Jim's talking head in "The Client," the Sasha story, Jim visiting the BB online from the Pochonos, and I'd also like to revisit "The Secret" in light of some of what JK said on the commentary. First of all, thank you for the review. Second of all, thank you even more for re-directing me to your story (gulp). I had read it and loved it, but I was at the office, so I didn't leave a review. But YES, I loved it, and I found it incredibly realistic and seriously, not at all sappy - which isn't easy to do at all when you're writing about Jim and babies. (That wasn't supposed to be funny, actually; I'm totally serious.) But yes, so beautifully written; you have such a flair for writing the most poignantly erotic stuff...literally makes me ache. I think what made my stomach jump the most (and there were many things in that fic that did!) was the way you described him kissing her afterward and telling her to get some sleep, even though she could feel him against her..... I'm very glad she "gave him everything," because man, how could she not? (Can you tell I loved that story?) Seriously, though, thanks for reminding me, because I had wanted to leave a review. (I did just now, by the way.)

Spoilerish for various S2 DVD deleted scenes. Their first date was a date that...wasn't. Eventually though they finally got the hang of it.
10 Ironically, I just watched this deleted scene before going to sleep last night, then woke up and caught up on stories and...voila. You really capture the sense of deflation in Jim's expression during that talking head. His wistfulness, his yearning, even his humor...it's all palpable here, in a very natural way.

10 Loved the shopping scene - one of my favorite moments on the show too. I was always struck by how such an ordinary experience became something almost tantalizing for Pam - like an unexpectedly intimate glimpse of Jim, didn't matter that the subject was only fabric softener. You really captured that feeling here - love how she pretends they'd normally do domestic stuff together. Sigh.
I also admire your ability to write at this point - the impending premiere seems to have me blocked (for some reason, my only current JAM ideas are very naughty snippets, that do not a story make.)
Somehow I don't think Roy joins her when she goes for groceries.
It's tough - let me tell you. I'm going to have to finish this one tonight because Thursday is looming ominously and it's ruining my concentration. I'm viewing this as my last shot to guess what the writers have in store.

He lets her in. Post-Casino Night.10 This is seriously good. Loved the tone and flow of it. It has a nice edge - by turns raw and sexy, but quite poignant too. Especially liked Mrs. Ramirez - great image of her whispering to Pam, and Jim wondering what she sees when she looks at him...just really hits a great note.
10 Really glad you decided to post this. Of course, I don't know what's in your head, but it feels very complete as a story to me. Really beautiful, in fact. The idea that she does love Roy, but not the way she did as a girl - and that Jim is what she needs now, is spot on. (The part where she imagines Jim at the lake with her - so evocative)

10 Glad you posted this - provided some very welcome distraction and a soothing counterpoint to last night's show. Still trying to process the premiere - liking it more as the nuances sink in and the open doors are coming into focus - but it still left me oddly unsettled. This was a nice moment of respite. Only a tv show...must be patient....

I have decided to expand on the idea of Codename: Chicken Plate. This will be my take on the emails, phone calls and conversations we missed over the summer and for the first part of Season 3 (until Pam and Jim actually communicate themselves) My idea is that Jim knows exactly what happened between Pam and Roy and knows exactly what is going on in Pam's life right now even if WE don't see it.
10 Great phone/drive scene - reads like a real conversation between them. All I can say is they must both have super human restraint. Curious to see how long that lasts!
