My heart was pounding the whole time I was reading this story! Wow! You absolutely achieved your goal. I felt the pressure. Oh--and I love that song (by Queen/David Bowie, not Vanilla Ice.) I stick by my original opinion, that it will come up, but only in bits and pieces. If I decide to extend this story with another chapter, the conversation will center primarily around Karen, the past year, and New York. Casino Night will come up, but only as an explanation for his behavior. I still believe both have a solid understanding of what happened that night, and therefore the pain of it doesn't need to be dredged up again.
