You already know that I really liked this! Jim and Josie's relationship feels so real, although what is wrong with her? If only she knew what she was missing now! I didn't mention this before, but it just came to me now. I love how Pam is so eager to hear about all this. It must be somewhat difficult for her but I bet she is relishing learning all these new things about Jim. Great job :-)
I really like the changes you made! You give the sense that the Jim/Karen relationship is just completely doomed. Like, relationships require a lot of work, but not that much. Good stuff :-)

This will just be a series of short vignettes about Jim and Pam getting to know one another as they start their adventure into true coupledom. Embarrassing moments, phobias, guilty pleasures....the truth comes out.
This was just all kinds of cute! I am really enjoying this story and hope we get to see some scenes like these on the show! You are so good at dialogue and truly nailing their voices. Such a talent!

More good stuff! The image of them both being up late at night wondering what the other is doing is too much! I like this Mayer song too. I thought of another one you could use - A Love Song For No One. That one is perfect for S2 Jim!

Wow, these are really well done! If you choose to do a chapter about a break up or fight, you should do it to Comfortable! And it's great because the "I want you back" at the end could be when they get back together :-) Great job!

Author's Response: Thanks! It took me a bit to figure out the best reference from entertainment for a drug story a la Grief Counseling, and this one seemed so perfect. I could totally see Jim and Pam watching Saved By the Bell on TBS afterschool. It\'s such a shame they didn\'t know each other then, because their running commentary would have been awesome.
This was really fun! The call back to the jinx was super cute, and I really liked Jim's speech. Hope we see some more stories from you!

Oh, and my vote for Season Four...I really liked how you were able to use the seasons as a whole to craft the different IMs, so I'd worry that the subtle allusions and stuff might get lost if you write it in real time, so to speak. Ah, the two women in Jim's life! I loved that Jim initiated the conversation with Pam but that Karen was the one initiating the conversation with Jim. Niiiiice. Post Beach Games now, I'm trying to go to bed early these days! :-)
While it's nice having them talk again, how do you explain Pam's "We're not even friends anymore" in Beach Games? I mean, sure, they're not as close as they once were, but this sounds pretty friendly to me! I'm just asking because I know you will have a well-thought out explanation :-)
I love how Jim completely avoided the subject of what else happened on the day they read "Threat Level Midnight."
I liked it. I really like your interactions between Jim and Larissa. It seems like her meddling caused him to dedicate himself more to his relationship with Karen, which, while sad, makes sense at this point in the season. I'm excited to see how you wrap it all up!
Oh, Pam. Ouch. I got really sad reading that. There's no wonder why she goes back to Roy. I'm looking forward to see how you handle the rest of the season. Did you know there's an awkward Jim/Pam deleted scene from Cocktails?

Jim finding out on IM? Harsh. I like to think maybe someone called him to let him know, but you're probably right. I bet everyone assumed he knew so no one went to call him. And I love Kev's screenname. Very appropriate. I'm glad you explored this in IM, but I would have loved to see how Pam found out that Jim left.
Author's Response: I think he at best got an email. Pam finding out Jim left/was leaving was probably an exercise in denial where she would tell everyone including herself that she was happy Jim got a promotion.
Aww, these past two chapters are really well done, with Pam trying to make things normal and Jim kind of just going with it half-heartedly. Liked the mention of Jan, and Jim's quick brushing off of it. I'm really looking forward to reading the season three ones!

Great idea! I love it already. Especially the "don't forget us when you're famous" reference. Hey, if they put a "Faces of Jim Halpert" featurette on the next Office DVDs...I'd watch it! :-) I say update however often you like, as long as you update!
