the first date between jim and pam doesn't really go how either of them would expect it to.This story is so so great! And a great picture of what they would look like on their first date. I love, love, loved the end:

Ok I'm loving this story or episode or whatever, its wonderful, and I can really see all of this happening.
But, Natalie does seem a lot like a certain ex of Jim's. Hmm
I felt a surge of jealousy or Pam, but I'm happy that Natalie finally found out about her. Kinda switcharoo (except Pam and Jim aren't breaking up :) ).
I do like the idea of two Jims though, what could be better?
I really like this story. I think Holly is the perfect match for Michael and Jan just ugh and bad timing. I feel so bad for her because she does seem genuinely sweet and dorky. This is a nice glimpse of her life.

As I am a Gilmore Girls fan I would be very angry if this happened, because the way it happened on Gilmore Girls tore the show apart, just thinking about it...ugh.

But then he started getting the letters...So, I would like to say that I love Rocky Votolato, and I also love your stories. You write Jim's emotions so well. Especially how much him and Pam hold back in their letters. Keep it up!

I think my heart was racing along with Jim's. Such a great chapter and the Dwight scenes were great. I also love how everyone adores Kelly for a change, she just needed to find the right atmosphere apparently.

This is a unique idea and I'm liking it. In a weird way it also seems like Pam is the strong one and Jim is the fragile one in this situation, I can see tension is coming and I'm excited to see where you go with this.
Author's Response: thanks! it's been fun to dissect season one to see where there is room for alterations as a new way to examine their dynamic. i think moving pam out of that relationship with roy launched the pam we know into being a totally different person - and when she meets jim, she only resembles who we know in the slightest of ways. yes - there is more tension on its way :) thanks for the review!
Aww poor Stamford!Jim, such a heartbreaking guy. But this part broke my heart:
He hated being this guy. He hated crying into his beer. He hated isolating himself because the heartbreak was too close to the surface, too easy to see, too humiliating.

9 Ok so I had every intention of starting this story and absolutely hating it, but sadly I cannot. It just feels too...cute? I mean Emily and Jim are really great together and I hate that, but I also think it's adorable. And Jim and Pam's breakup? Very realistic. Because I also thought that it would be hard to make that transition from friends to lovers.
So all I can really do, is wait for the premiere and hope the producers didn't listen to Jenna, because this is just way too believable.
Jim comes back, Pam's late, and it's time to talk. Takes place in the summer between S3 and S4.Thank you so much for this! Definitely made me feel better about their situation. If Jim and Pam did in fact talk like this (reading this makes that very believable) then I think they will be fine. Great story :)
