Jim sees a therapist. Starts in the midst of season two. This is a great story. I stumbled across it yesterday and read all of it in one sitting. PLEASE, PLEASE finish this! It's a great concept and plot and I'd love for you to finish it. Just please know that it's great and you do have those who are reading it who are waiting with baited breath for more! :)

Just read this one in its entirety this morning. LOVED IT! It was SOOOO cringe-worthy I almost couldn't stand to read Michael's "outing" them during the mediation talk. I hope you continue to write. I'm in the process of reading everything you've written so far, and I want you to continue so I'll always have more to look forward to. I don't care how many times you re-write Casino Night... it's always great. That parking lot scene was THE best scene in television history and I never get tired of reading about it.

It's always fun to get a review of an older fic. :o) Glad you liked the cringe-worthiness; as I mentioned in the story notes, several people on the fanfic boards had mentioned wanting to see a fic wherein Michael just blurted it all out, and I couldn't resist the urge to explore that. (Because at that point, I fully expected him to do so -- or at least mention to either Pam or Roy his conversation with Jim in "The Convention.")
Thanks, too, for your kind words about all my stuff; I love knowing that somebody's reading the older stuff (well, some of it -- unfortunately, a lot of it makes me cringe, lol). After a long bout with writer's block (or maybe just the absence of any motivation whatsoever), I'm starting to feel that urge to write again and have begun something new that'll be posted very soon. :o)
I agree wholeheartedly, BTW, about your assessment of the parking lot scene in CN -- it never ceases to take my breath away, no matter how many times I re-watch it.

Anthena, I've been following your story since I stumbled across it way before Christmas -- I think about the time the writer's strike began and I've been awaiting each new chapter with great anticipation. You are such a gifted writer. True, this story is dark and angsty (truthfully, I wouldn't even refer to it as angst as much as reality) and despair, but you've had a purpose and a goal throughout the whole story and it's believable.
I love that now you've woven this intriguing, dark story into a place where we can see light at the end of the tunnel. I think you've done this at just the right time as any earlier would have been too soon. Now that you've given us this little bit of light, I'm excited about where it will go next.
You've written an original, unique piece. It's real and it's vivid. You've done a great job. Keep the chapters coming.... quickly, please! :)
Member's Choice - “My father died, so I’ll need a few days.” She explained in an unaffected sounding voice that surprised even herself. The three other parties in the room were stunned into silence. Jim spoke first. “Jesus, Pam…” She stood with her back to him and addressed Michael as if Jim had not made a sound…as if Jim did not exist. It was the only way.
I found this last night and read until about 1:30 before I had to put it down (not out of lack of interest, but out of knowing I'd be useless today without my sleep). So, what did I do this morning, but pick it back up first thing to finish. What an amazing story. I am in awe of your ability to put the reader "there" in the moment. There are so many good lines/passages, my review would be as long as your story if I named them all, but the couple of chapters at the end when Jim bares his soul sitting at her bedside and then again when he's so overwhelmed by emotion and he tells her she "owns" him.... OMG, it couldn't have been written better. Just beautiful. I've printed this one to keep!

A year or two before the cameras arrived, Michael takes the staff to the Poconos for a camaraderie event. Much unresolved sexual tension and angst ensues (uh, between Jim & Pam, not the entire staff).
I don't know if you still stop by time to time to see if you have new reviews or not, but just in case you do, this is absolutely one of the very best written fanfics I've ever read. Your attention to detail and your descriptiveness paints vivid pictures for the reader. This was truly an amazing story. Loved the yearning, the internal struggles of Jim and Pam that you wrote so beautifully. When Jim kissed her that first time, OMG. It was just amazing. Loved how REAL you portrayed Roy and his and Pam's relationship with each other. You didn't take the easy way out getting them broken up and getting Jim and Pam together. Very realistic. Loved Jonathan and his protectiveness of Jim. Loved his character altogether. I know other reviewers have already said it, but really, he should have a recurring role the show. You are wonderfully gifted. I've printed this and I think I'll reread it. It's THAT good. Can't praise it enough!

It has taken me a few months to get around to responding to you -- I'm so sorry! It was great to read your thoughts on the story. I tend to end up disliking a lot of what I write a while after posting it (am always thinking, "okay, I should've done this that way," etc., etc.). But I have to say that this particular story is my favorite, because for one, I was very careful to slog through the chapters that were less than fun to write (like the first several to set up the whole scenario -- bored me to write those). But also I just had the best time writing that story; it's one of those that just took hold of me, and I spent far too much time thinking about how the next chapter should go or hearing snatches of dialogue in my head.
It also always thrills me to hear a reviewer say he/she liked Jonathan; he's a bit of a polarizing character, I think, in that there are a lot of people who loathe him and find him a Mary Sue (which is an argument I can see), but there are others, like you, who say they'd like to see him on the actual show. (I know I would, but that's primarily because I adore Scott Foley, and that's who is Jonathan in my mind. Hee.)

Ohhh mannnn.... please update again soon. *pleading* This is SO good. I hate scrolling down, knowing I'm coming closer and closer to the end of a chapter like this one. So much emotion - it was gut-wrenching. It made me mad at both of them at the end to see how they handled their confrontation, but it was so realistic of their characters. You've done a great job.

What if Pam had been much stronger - bolder - throughout season three? AU because I'm not following much of the S3 storyline, but that's when this is basically taking place. Some spoilers (S3).
I've enjoyed reading your story and it has kept me intrigued and wanting more, chapter after chapter, although I have to admit that Pam's thought process has been a little bewildering to me at times. That doesn't mean it's not good, though. Reading your comments as the chapters end, I think sometimes you're too hard on yourself. I admire your writing courage and you've brought the story around to a place where Jim and Pam can finally communicate on a sane level. You're right about Jim needing to grow a pair so he and Pam could go to the next level in their relationship. Looking forward to your continued updates. Keep going!

I really wanted Pam to be crazy-confused because I think it's part of what keeps her character believable, at least for this story.

I was so excited to see you had updated! I watch this every day in my favorites. I re-read the last chapter to familiarize myself with what had happened last and, oh my, how nice it was to get back in their "lives" again with this wonderful chapter. Let me just say how much I enjoyed reading this so far. I read it for the first time today and just love it! I have always felt that Roy was verbally abusive to Pam, if not physically. Your chapter describing his actions and attitude towards her -- waiting on and cleaning up after him and his friends.... well, let me just say that that's exactly how I imagined he was behave. He's a taker. Pam deserves better. She deserves Jim. You done a wonderful job so far. Keep the chapters coming. :)

Yet another story inspired by a song by Ingrid Michaelson called Breakable. I really wanted to tell a story about people being just that -- breakable, and ultimately how grace helps keep us from falling apart. So yeah -- a nice fluffy holiday piece. ;-)What a beautiful story. I really don't have sufficient words to express how beautiful, poignant, amazing, realistic.....on and on.... this story is. Made me literally break down and cry. So glad it got posted on the favorites list for me to find.
