This was good. Ya know, I always felt the show's writers should have thrown us JAMers a bone and had Jim more 'disheveled' when he was sitting in that lobby. For god sakes they still had him wearing his tie! I think this is a bit more realistic!

Loved this chapter. It brings back the fond memories of getting our first house (where the TV sat on the floor in the living room for at least a year). Also...this definitely gives me something 'else' to think about during Yoga class.

Wow! This went right to my favorites list. I think I’ve read it about 6 times and finally found the time to write a comment. I was blown away and by too many ways to mention. The 'first days' stories never get old, and now you’ve written three of my favorites! Jim has to devastated that Pam left so abruptly. He was being so bold , so sure, so SMOOTH. Despite everything that had happened, he must feel ruined after she left. Can’t wait for the next chapters!! I just love Pam’s epiphany: “Pam knew what this meant, of course, but she wanted to know how many and when and where and why her instead of those others and why, suddenly, now.”

This was so tender and sweet. I loved it. You could just feel the stillness and comfort in the situation though all the angst. Unfortunately, I have a feeling they’ll bypass these type of personal moments in the Super Bowl episode and just go for laughs (please, please let me be wrong about that). Anyway I’m not sure how they’re planning to hook all the football fans on the show, but throw in this type of sweetness and they’ll grab all their wives!

I think I had a "Cold Mountain" flash back when I envisioned Jim dropping the phone, driving all the way to Scranton in his PJs, while Pam‘s voice softly repeats ‘come back to me‘ over and over in his head. ;)

This is just heart wrenching, but wonderful at the same time. After watching my sibling waste away from cancer, I couldn’t say I wouldn’t feel/think the same things that Jim felt/did in this chapter. Thank you for sharing this story with us . I really look forward to the next chapters (regardless of the outcome).
Spoilers! Based on events that took place during ‘Blood Drive’. What happens when Jim and Pam decide that they may need to spice things up a bit?I wonder if I burned more calories sitting reading this chapter than I will for the next half hour on my elliptical?
