After being raised by feral dogs deep in the heart of Appalachia for my first 17 years, I rescued a group of imperiled socioanthopologists from certain doom at the hands of some moonshiners in an undisclosed mossy holler of my homeland. Silly with gratitude, they taught me to read and eventually, to make letters with a pencil. I'm continuing that learning process by writing fan fiction here.
As you can see, I'm still having trouble with run-on sentences and cliches. Yet I've come so far.
Oh, and I love music - especially jazz.

Great stuff, Steph. I love your Toby/Kelly and it is pitch perfect. Any chance we could get you writing for the show? If I had to pick a favorite part, this would be it - so perfectly sadly practical Toby, after his dismissal of Gabe: “Still.” He looked down at his notes before mumbling, “Besides, you won’t be here so it won’t be your desk anymore.”

Oh, I needed this so badly. LOL Great tag - thank you for writing it. It was fantastic - definitely believable thought processes for both of them! And the Hi and Hey was a perfect callback. *claps loudly*
Author's Response: Jazzfan, thanks so much for the review and the clapping. I needed some sort of post-CD fic so badly too--badly enough to actually write, apparently.
Summary: One of them is going to have to make a huge sacrifice, and possibly resent the other. That’s the only scenario she can stomach, because the other scenario is that she stays in Scranton and Jim stays in Philadelphia, and even thinking of that makes her stomach lurch.

This is wonderful! I'll admit I'm a little aggravated at Pam on the show, but this is a heart tugging piece that made me at least feel more sympathy for her. Well done! Love your work - it's great to have something new from you.

Summary: He wanted to be someone who was happy and who didn't cry at weddings. She wanted to be all sophisticated and crap. They both needed to reinvent themselves. Takes place during the finale.

Awwwwww. Toby smiling! Love it. If you'd told me what the pairing was beforehand, I'd have said "no way." But this kinda worked for me - it's a nice send off for both of them.

I never really thought much of the pairing until the last part of the finale where there were scenes of them making faces and rolling eyes at each other and then they were talking together for a very long time in the background and I seriously thought that they were really going to go somewhere with that and have them hook up or something. But I'm so glad it sort of worked. Thanks for reviewing!
