OMG! That was some trip to the store for milk! When she gets home to Roy, he is gonna wonder what is happening at the grocery store these days!

I enjoyed the writing style you used here. I felt both Jim and Pam's urgency during dinner and the dancing that followed. The way Pam felt like she absolutely HAD to say something in deep contrast Jim, feeling that he'd be in the clear if he could just stay quiet until after the wedding. I think I felt both of them exhale when Pam confessed and Jim responded, 'don't marry him!' Really know, you are a fantastic story teller!

Good idea for them to give a few days after the wedding detangling before they meet up again... I actually am most looking forward to the post-breakup Jim/Roy interaction....

Author's Response: Thank you, Aivilo! The grocery store is no joke these days. Haha. As of right now the Jim/Roy interaction post-breakup will get a good amount of attention.

Oh, and I just saw a note that said you are gonna finish Mifflin Designs. And I needed to say YAY!!! to that.

Author's Response: Yes, Mifflin Designs! It may not be the next story, but I am finishing it this year! Someone told me it was bad so I'm still working through that. :(

Because you've been so kind and given us some Italian Food back I would be more than happy to feed your Review Monster.

How proud of Jim was I when he really let Roy know how wrong he was for taking Pam for granted. But how disappointed was I that Roy managed to weasel back and get Jim to call Pam to apologize for him. Sad face...

I look forward to what happens next.

Welcome back! It is good too see an update. I am hoping that there is more where that came from...

Author's Response: Thanks! I was so nervous that it had been so long that people wouldn't take to my crazy AUs again. Definitely more where that came from. I'll post another after work tonight.

Really looking forward to the Roy/Jim action that is coming up!

I love the dad. He was so perfect in his chat with his son. Honest, no sugarcoating. Really pointing out how difficult the situation was for everyone. Pam, had Jim's heart, held Roy's life together, what responsibility! Yikes!

I am really glad that they are hanging out as friends, not avoiding each other as the dust settles and before they can move forward.

Author's Response: I hope the Roy/Jim action doesn't disappoint!

I think you picked a great one! The proposal chapter was really well done. I'm sad that soon you'll be finished though, when this story is all finished I'm gonna miss it! I hope that you'll write keep writing though. Everything you write is so well done!

I'm wondering if Pam is so tired because Jim keeps her busy at bedtime or is she sleepy because of something else? Like she's growing something.... Can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: Thank you, Aivilo. I'm definitely going to keep writing. I have another story waiting on the deck as soon as this one is done. Hopefully you'll enjoy it. As far Pam being tired and that other reason you will soon see!

Oh, poor Roy. His reason for wanting Pam, being that she was the only thing he hadn't failed at, but when Pam is in the process of ending it all, his response was for her to talk to her mom, or Jim, so they could fix things? I wonder if he will realize the reason the relationship lasted was because of the work being done by people not in the relationship? Pam was right about them both having a miserable future if the marriage worked out.

I wonder what Mom Halpert will say to son Jimmy when she calls him with the cancellation news? And where will Pam go, once she separates from her life with Roy? And what expectation will the rest of the Halpert family have for Jim, as the brother of the jilted groom, and the best friend of the runaway bride? Will they expect him to abandon his dear friend, since she broke the heart of the other brother? And, oh boy, what kind of fall out will there be when everyone finds out that Jim and Pam are in love?!?

Can't wait until your next chapter! You are so awesome!

Author's Response: You're awesome, Aivilo! Next chapter should answer most of these questions. I think...

Whatever will Pam do with her realization that she is about to enter into the worlds most boring marriage, while she has an amazing time with her future brother-in-law, who is also her bestest friend ever!

Cannot wait to read more soon!

I'm happy that your funk has passed. But, can I also say that I think you made it work for you? Jim's mood was really believably written and maybe you were just feeling his pain. I also enjoyed the family interaction with Pam and Jim as well. I'll be sad when this ends, but I look forward to reading all about it!

Author's Response: Great way to look at it, Aivilo. Jim and I were both in very weird moods this chapter.

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness. There really are more people involved here than just Jim and Pam, and while I am firmly Team Jim, I am feeling a small amount of heart pain for Roy.

This means you are doing an awesome job with this angst thing you've got going on...

What are Pam and Jim gonna do!?!

Someone should let them know, that if they love each other, it isn't fair to allow Pam to pity-marry Roy and create three people with unhappy lives.

Crashing and burning and rehearsal dinners, all up next? I'll be on the edge of my seat, waiting...

Author's Response: Aivilo, that's the same thing I told myself. What are these two crazy kids going to do? So that's all in this new chapter. I figured it was time to put it all out there.

This was very sweet. I love the way you managed to give them the moment in the rain, mirroring the show.

I love the way this chapter gives us flashes of different points in the year. I've enjoyed every chapter you have written in this wonderful story, but I feel like we get a bonus when you include the flashes.

So sad that we are coming to the end, though... I wonder what moments in 2009 you'll share. Will Jim 'inadvertently inseminate' Pam, {love that line from a few chapters ago} like in the show, so that in 2010 there will be a Baby Halpert in the final chapter?? I'll wait patiently to find out!

Author's Response: Go find out!! I'm glad you like the flashbacks. I'd hoped to include more, but too many felt cumbersome.

Thanks for the reminder that summertime still exists! It's easy to forget when there are inches and inches of snow to be brushed off the car. I love a summer playlist... So again, thanks for that.
We've seen and loved Super Awesome Supportive, Encouraging BF Jim... will his new job let us see Super Awesome Supportive, Encouraging GF Pam?
Oh, and I'm 100% in agreement with Kelly, if you have a hot boyfriend, who gives it good... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER hold out!! Embrace the addiction, Silly Pam.

Author's Response: Yes, Pam will definitely be stepping up and being a little more assertive in her relationship with Jim, and I am very excited. It will be interesting to see the tables turned as Pam will now be supporting Jim as he goes after his dream career. Interesting, indeed. ;)

I\'m glad you enjoyed the playlist. I hope you\'re managing ok with all of that snow. (Ugh!) And yeah, if I had someone who looked like JKras, I would not be holding out on anything. Oh, Pam. Silly, silly girl.

I don't think that HSPam with Dream List even knew how perfect Jim would be!!
I love love love your story and have a sad face that it is all finished!! You finished it rather perfectly though, so big ups right there.
How fantastic was that proposal? The book of their love affair ending with stick-figure Jim and a ring!! Awwww!! Just like the I love you book of poems he gave her earlier... amazing.
Thank you for sharing your imagination here! It was wonderful!
I'm going to fully support any more writings you want to post here. A sequel could be fun... and I read in other reviews of a Jim-Fantasy story... Pam and I would both love that, yummy!
SO, please feel better before your birthday, and do not stay away too long!

Author's Response: Hey Aivilo, thank you so much for reading and following the story through its end. I\'m pleased to hear that you are happy with how it all turned out. I do feel like there is more to this A/U Jim and Pam, and there are a few ideas bouncing around in my head, so a sequel may just wind up being inevitable after all...

I\'m so glad you liked the proposal. Man, it was so difficult trying to come up with the perfect engagement story that hadn\'t already been done before, so I prayed that this would satisfy. And good news- I am feeling better in time for my birthday, so that may just put me in a good enough mood to start writing again after school picks up and I get settled. Thank you so much for the wonderful review, and I hope to hear from you soon if I do decide to go through with that sequel. ;)

I love this Pam, she took steps and now she speaks with her mom regularly. Good news, that. I also like that although Jim and Pam are dealing a lot better with their long-distance relationship, you've acknowledged that it still sucks.
I'm sad that we are nearing the end of this story... now what am I supposed to do while I wait for winter to melt away and summer to come back?? But I'll say this, I've missed Kelly and Angela last few chapters, I hope we haven't heard the last from Pam's 'family'. I also need, of course, more on that ring! Keep bringing the steamy too, it is always appreciated.
Oh, and BOO roaches!! Move Jim outta that apartment immediately! Yuck!

Author's Response: I\'m so ready to kick winter to the curb, and we\'re only in month one. I\'m starting to get all sick and sniffly and I hate it. Chicago is also under a \"blizzard watch\" tonight. Fun stuff.

I promise you haven\'t heard the last of Pam\'s family. They\'re in the latest chapter, in fact, and have a few secrets they\'ve been asked to keep under wraps. ;)

I\'m glad you are pleased with the new and improved Pam as she struggles toward finding her true self and tries to improve her relationship with her actual family. Aw. Our little Pam is growing up. Yay!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review. It is very much appreciated!

I love 'your adventure, your story' inspiring Pam's gift project for Jim. I am looking forward to her giving it to him and his response to all her hard work. He displayed her 'puddle of mess' from the oil paints she experimented with, it will be exciting to see his reaction to her carefully crafted gift.
I like the Karen you created here. I liked Karen on the show {not with Jim, of course} and I am glad that she is a friend to Pam.
Really looking forward to this Assertive Pam you keep promising me! I guess we have step one, her going to see Jim. unexpected and unannounced, because she missed him and needed to make sure that they were okay. I am happy that Pam has realized that the train runs both ways and busy with work or not, I don't think that Jim would ever consider her 'in his way' if she came to visit him more often.
Again, thanks for the update, cannot wait for more!

Three Cheers for the New Chapter!! Of course Pam is upset that Roy is getting married after proposing to her at Thanksgiving!! And when Pam ran into him when she went home around Christmas, did he not still try to beg her back to him??
But also, it makes sense for Jim to react to this as he did, with his, 'you moved on, why do you care?' philosophy.
Excellent job on this chapter, I was extra happy to read your update!! It was HOT! Are they going to watch old movies together soon? {I love TCM!} More please.

Author's Response: Thank you for the great review! Poor Jim. He was just so jealous that Pam appeared to be a wee bit resentful towards Roy\'s engagement and the fact that he had moved on. I think Jim\'s head was somewhere over towards, \"Well, if you\'re worried that Roy has moved on, then what the hell are we doing? Is this just a rebound?\" I thought it was important that both of them clearly stated how they felt about the topic, and I think Jim needed to give Pam a little reality check and remind her that she is much better off without Roy in her life. Otherwise, Pam would probably be grieving over the whole idea for months to come, wondering just exactly what the heck she was thinking- moving on her own, living off her parent\'s credit card, getting a degree in art instead of a more lucrative position in the medical field... I love a more honest and open Jim and Pam. Also, I will be bringing a little pop culture back into the fic, including several old music and bands. Jim just loves to educate Pam on her lost childhood. TCM rocks! It just might make an appearance soon.

I love Saved by The Bell... and I still watch it whenever I get the chance, so this chapter is awesome on that fact alone.
I really felt Pam's sadness as she tried to stay in and enjoy the moments she was sharing with Jim at the wedding, but her struggle as she thought about how different the future was going to be. Sometimes growing up stinks! I also loved Jim's promise ring, and speech. It was perfect.
So... like you said in your end notes, I also am very eager to go into the next phase of Jim and Pam's relationship! Bring on assertive Pam! {I think she is gonna be a fun time}

Author's Response: SBTB! I so have the first season downloaded through Netflix on my Xbox, which now reminds me that I need to begin watching them soon. Ha-ha.

Assertive Pam here we come! I think some time apart can be a good thing for our happy couple. I hated how on the show, they made it seem like our PB&J were completely reliant on each other- no all day bluetooth conversations here. Pam will definitely be growing into her own on her own. So excited to take the journey alongside Pam with all of you. I promise, this A/U FNB will be nothing but fun. ;) Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Author's Response: Thank you, and I hope that you are still enjoying the story. I know Angela and Kelly have been missing the past couple of chapters, but I promise they will be back in Jim and Pam\'s lives very soon.

Never Seen Goonies?? Unbelievable... When we were kids my cousins and I WERE the Goonies!! I'm glad that Pam has Jim to introduce her to the things she needs in life, Goonies, good music, books about farts...
Buttcrack hair makes me laugh out loud! I love! More please...

Author's Response: Oh goodness, I remember when buttcrack hair WAS the hair style back in high school- back when Nick Carter and Devon Sawa and the like made it extremely popular. One of my long-term crushes had blonde, buttcrack hair. Oh, memories. Haha.

Oh, so much our poor little Pam has missed out on in her life. Thank goodness we have Jim to enlighten her about... Well, everything. Jim just gets so much of a thrill, introducing her to all of his favorite things. Kind of like Oprah\'s favorite things. Which, by the way, I would like tickets to attend one of these days. I\'m just saying... Haha.
