9 Great story, I really loved it. Drunk Jim/Pam is fun and given their inability to communicate verbally sometimes, I think this is actually pretty plausible. Nice first date story!

9 Really nice story. If S3 was all about Pam growing up, then this story is the perfect ending to that tale. It's like she needs to get to this place in her head, before she and Jim could ever be happy together. You really capture that perfectly. Wonderful!

Very sweet. I'm still not in the "post-proposal-backseat-sex" camp which seems to dominate around here, but the dialog you have is just perfect for the characters. Very realistic. I really enjoyed it.

But then I did some math (yes I am that geeky) and figured out how much time they had and it only amounted to about an hour, so... well, lunch just wouldn\'t have been as fun to write, so. Thanks so much, Desslok. I can't tell you how encouraging it is to read reviews like this - it definitely inspires me to create more pieces and try to stretch myself in terms of style and such. I myself just heard the song a couple of days ago for the first time on the radio. It's definitely a true "country" song (what with the drinking and all that!), but it's extremely bittersweet and I, like you, thought it fit Roy/Pam pretty well. If you ever do find the song on youtube or something, I recommend reading this fic with it in the background (makes the story way more emotional than I could:)

Brief introspection set to numbers, in thirteen parts up to The Job. 9 I enjoyed this. It's unusual, but moving and true to character. Not sure I know where the numbers/words are coming from, but I probably don't need to know. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much. :D And heh - there's ten (diamond anniversary year), for example; or eleven's form in numbers: double 'ones', side by side, reading the same when upside down. thirteen as an opposite of 'unlucky'. things like that.
