Remember when Jim and Pam convinced Dwight that a CIA helicopter would pick him up on the roof? Well, neither of them could resist showing up that night to see the prank to it's conclusion.
I usually try to avoid incomplete stories (I have abandonment issues) but the description on this roped me in. This was really great, funny and clever dialogue, and the UST is just tangible. I really hope you find the time to update soon. Remember:every time you complete a fic, a baby bird learns to fly and all the world's cans get recycled;-)
What if Pam refused to let Angela drop her off at home after the Dundies?
“I want to go to Jim’s,” Pam said, interrupting Angela’s thoughts.
Angela felt as though her head might pop off and land in one of her cup holders. Would the depravity of this night never end?
“I have to go disinfect my cats’ eyes and remove the urine stains from my carpet,” ... Spot on Angela! Bravo!

Imagine Jim’s confession on Casino Night never happened and Pam actually made it down the aisle on June 10th . . . only to say “I don’t”.You have totally grabbed my attention with this story, and I have no choice but to spend the rest of my day reading...
The Budda or Sting line was priceless, and I thought the analogy of the overflowing toilet in the first chapter was really well crafted. You've set up some beautiful dramatic tension here, and I'm totally hooked.
"Jim shook his head so slightly, such a small movement that if she had looked away even for a moment she would have missed it, and just continued to stare at her. " -- that was just too easy to visualize. You've really done an amazing job with the tension in this story.
"You’re still an idiot, his penis assured him." -- I think that might be the best sentence in the history of language.
OK, I think only a fellow stay home mom could truly appreciate the Nemo mantra...
Oh, and "Oh, he definitely had a gender. And she was pretty sure she had felt it against her hip when he kissed her." is the second best sentence(s) in the history of language!

That was really lovely. It had a very calming and poetic feeling to it, and I like the idea of that far away happy ending.

He goes out, he works, he does not call Pam, even when he's drunk and calls the office, he somehow gets Dwight's extension instead of the main desk, and the following Monday he recieves a very long pamphlet on alcohol abuse, narrated by a green panda.10 Oh, wow. I know I'm late to the review party for this one, but I just found it and couldn't let it go by without saying how amazing it was. Your narrative was spot-on, and you made the entire thing flow like it was straight out of the character's brain. Seriously, wow.
He would close his eyes and remember their time apart, concentrating on it, trying to feel it. Just when he started to connect with the empty feeling, he would open his eyes and look at her sleeping beside him, and slide close enough to her so he could feel her breath, and feel nothing less than a sort of joy.
9 This was really well done, such a simple yet powerful look at marriage and what a man will do to take care of the woman that he loves. So much more honest and beautiful than the fluff we're used to. Thanks for this.

9 I really liked this! I haven't found too many first date fics that deal with the immediate aftermath of leaving the interview and going back to the office. I especially liked the line where he compares the weight of the paper, like his brain hasn't really caught up yet, and also the talking to he gives himself in the mirror, because it was nice to see him acknowledge that he might be making a huge mistake but risking it anyway. The title was classic and the dialogue was spot on in its humor. ("Are we gonna nurture it?")
I'd love to read some more office fic from you.
