This is absolutely wonderful! The anxiety attack was so believable that I could see it happening. I love that Jim knows just the right things to say to her, and I love that he admits that he does take things seriously and just wants her to be happy. I absolutely love the line And honestly, truly, when things are at their absolute worst, I'm still completely happy as long as I'm with you. It says so much from him without overstating it or being cheesy, though he says it is. I am gushing, but I do need to just say that your characterization is spot on here in both chapters. I really hope you have more things in the works for all of us to read! -adds to favorites-
Author's Response: Aw, Deedldee, thank you!!

Date: April 23, 2011 Title: Chapter 7: weight loss: how's your summer?
This is so so good, just love everything about it! And I didn't even notice the time line thing till your end note so I think you're all good. I really love the little bits of detail perfectly placed throughout this, that he's somewhat insecure, that he felt this way when he was in Stamford, that she's struggling with her class, and yet still comes home to take care of him the instant she hears he went home sick. I love this and I'm so happy that you're on this writing kick! Keep 'em comin'!
Date: September 21, 2010 Title: Chapter 2: the initiation: yours, future dwight
Ugh, I really wish she would've sent one of those emails! Or the fax, or something that would have kept that door opened. Great insight into Pam's mind during that episode. I like how you tied together her getting along with Dwight toward the middle of the season with her getting to work early in the AM like Dwight did and they start developing some sort of rapport. Looking forward to more, and I have to say just ... why hasn't more than one person reviewed this chapter? Where is everyone? Anyways, hope to read more of this soon!
Date: September 09, 2011 Title: Chapter 9: Halloween: but I would take that job in Maryland
Yes! This is exactly how I would imagine that night out for drinks went! I really miss these and I hope you have others on the way! :)
Date: September 27, 2011 Title: Chapter 10: the alliance: work your magic
I'd be interested in anything you write!
Loved this one even though I am all for stories when they're together I just love ones where you can see their friendship developing. Perfect all around. So Manu great little touches you incorporate. I could keep gushing but I'm the next stop so I have to run. Keep these coming!
Date: November 12, 2010 Title: Chapter 6: the carpet: suck on that, Halpert
Great invention of pretendinitis. Very clever. Good stuff here. That scene of him eating alone in his car breaks my heart every time I watch it, no matter how many times I watch Niagara. Anyway, nicely done with this angsty chapter.
Date: May 10, 2013 Title: Chapter 11: paper airplane: faith, hope, and love
This is truly incredible, for so many reasons and yet I'm at a loss to name them all. It was them. This was them. Perfectly done. Thank you for this, it's been ages since I read a story here. I should go before I start crying again.
Just. Thank you for this.
Date: May 25, 2011 Title: Chapter 8: jim: this is why I'm not worried about the whole downsizing thing
Oh, the angst! Call me crazy, but sometimes, I miss the angst. I like how you did this, and yes, definitely figured out which eps these belonged to.

This is adorable! I really can picture it all in my head, and I adore the little image of Cece snuggled up with them. Great tone, not over the top romantic, very sweet. And I'm sure that this is how most nights out go for new parents, so also very realistic. Thrilled you're writing! :-) Keep going!
Author's Response: Thanks a bunch Danielle! I was really pleased at how this came out despite the hiatus I'd taken to writing. I guess certain things just bring us back to Jim and Pam :) I appreciate the feed back!

I really enjoyed this little thing. Next week's episode is going to be rough, that's for sure. I really enjoyed this, it felt very true to Pam.
“Yes, Jim got the best dad dundie. And sure, he can handle diaper changes, bottles, and messy disasters, but you can forget about cute matching outfits, healthy meals, and anything else above the level of sheer survival.”
That's how I see Jim too. Hope you have a few more of these on the way! And any new Loose Ends you'd care to share with us as well :-)

I really really loved this. It's a conversation that I imagined they may have, and here it is in front of me. Very sweet. Glad you're continuing this! I love little episode one shots and talking heads that should have been. Can't wait for more!

This is so beautiful! I loved the part about Cece waking up at 4am and telling a half asleep Jim about ponies. I love that he knows he's not perfect, and I really feel like you realistically illustrated here how imperfect of a father he is. The final paragraph is so touching and sweet, it made me choke up a bit over here. You have a great way with words and imagery, I really feel like I saw all of this happening in my head. Very well done, and the last line is absolutely the best. Touching and sweet. Well done! Write more things soon!
Author's Response: You don't know how much I appreciate hearing this! This little one shot just came to me and I felt like I had to write it down. Jim isn't perfect, he's a guy, but he's crazily in love with his child and he does his best. That was my goal. Thank you so much for your lengthy review and taking the time to do so. I am greatly in appreciation.

This is me, giving you a standing ovation. This is beautiful. The way you came full circle, told this story spanning years without me ever noticing, it's just all wonderful. I love that they have 3 kids, I love that they're still bantering years later. I really love how the little blog took off, it's just all so great. I love how Daniel wrote that Jim is his hero. This story felt so real to me, no fluff, but you can still get the essence that they're very much in love with each other and love their family. I can't say enough how much I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and I hope you have many many more on the horizon.
Author's Response: Wow, thanks Deedldee. I was trying for something believeable, I'm glad I managed it. Good to see you back in the archives.
Date: December 28, 2010 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2 It's a Barnum and Bailey world
I'm so sorry for the delay in reading this and reviewing. I've been trying to get out of my own funk. I have to say I really like where this is going, and I feel so bad for Jim! I like the quick pace of this, just dealing with the points and giving us a peak into their lives in a few years from now. His relationship with the kids is really very sweet, I love how much Cece loves him and is grateful that he's her dad, regardless of what he does for a living. Hopefully you can get Pam to loosen her budget belt and buy the good mac and cheese. And I'm looking forward to seeing what her reaction is to what her little son said to his father. Hope the next chapter is on the way.
Author's Response: Hey Deedledee, I hope you're out of your funk. It's a new year and this one goes to '11. (hope you've seen Spinal Tap) Thanks for reading and reviewing. I hope to get to work on the conclusion soon.

Hi, I've been on the fence about whether or not to offer my constructive help to you, just because I don't want to make you think that I'm nitpicking or being mean. I'm enjoying the idea of these "what ifs" but there are a few things that could be tidied up with a beta. The amount of dialogue is tough to follow and would benefit some exposition mixed in with it, you want to show people facial expressions, voice inflections and things of that sort. Just a simple ..." she said, fiddling with her nail. Or something like that gives the reader something to picture in their head when they're reading. Also, there are some missing quotation marks and commas. Commas especially can make or break a sentence. I saw a funny line once somewhere on facebook - Let's eat grandma vs. Let's eat, grandma. In the first without the comma it looks like they're ready to eat grandma. I'm not an expert, don't have an English degree by any means. But I know how much effort we all put into our stories and how often we all look for reviews. I really hope you find these tips constructive and not in any way demeaning or offensive. That was not my intention. Again, the idea for these is really great and it was something I thought of doing. I have been caught up with some personal things that I could now use a huge distraction from, so please do let me know if you'd like my help with any future stories. I'd be happy to offer any assistance and opinions if you'd like them.
Author's Response: I take no offense at all. I was hoping for comments of exactly this sort. I think I mentioned in at least one of the notes that I'd never done this before. I highly doubted they were as good as they could be. As you mention grammar was never my strong suit in school. I had a bit of trouble finding the beta board, but have submitted my request there. I have very much enjoyed reading some of the stories you've already produced and look forward to seeing more of your work. Thanks again for your advice :)

This was lovely, I really enjoyed it a lot, his desperation for her and how this little thing just snowballed into him proposing.
Sorry to hear about your in real life issues with your parents divorce. Can't help with the loofa, my best guess would be to try Target.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, Deedldee! And no worries about the parental issues - good comes out of every bad, and I'm not one to wallow in the bad ;)
And I found the loofa! I searched high and low and finally found one in a Walgreens in an obscure location in western Massachusetts. Beer me five!
"That's Michael, you're out with Michael?!"
"Pam, it just happened. "
pre-marriage fluff. Pam gets a late-night visitor the night before the wedding. Spoilers for Niagara.

So so sorry for the delay in reading/reviewing. This is exquisite! Purely wonderful. I feel like it was an actual scene on the show. I love drunk Jim as you've described here, he's adorable! Perfectly in character, and the love just oozes off the screen. I adored this, so so well written. This part was my favorite:
She leans on the frame, her glasses resting on the end of her nose. He sobers up for this moment, when it's her on the night before the rest of their lives, her in her pjs still a little angry, with a wedding dress in the closet, a toothbrush in her hand, a coworker sleeping on the floor beside her. They'd begun as only that. She is ordinary and beautiful tonight, both at once, carrying their child, real life in the midst of a time so profoundly unreal, exactly right.
I'm adding it to favorites. Please write more things soon! *claps wildly*
Author's Response: deedldee,
as always, thank you thank you for the wonderful review! i love hearing whatcha think. I will try to hustle up some more drunkJim! fic soon!

This is so super cute! Congrats on the first office fic! I would never know it was the first in English, well done! I love the image of thin Jim dressed as Santa and you totally delivered the cute picture here. :) happy holidays!
Author's Response: Thank you!! :-) I'm really glad to be back in the fanfic world, and to participate in the joyfest that is The Office fandom :D
Glad you liked my vision of Santa Jim! And happy holidays to you too :)

Ah, Jim. Everything was going so well! I like how you softened up Pam, and I can completely see why she would walk away from him in the beginning. I like the slow pace of this, but I do hope there is a happy ending to this in the works. Jack is adorable and really adaptable to Jim over the course of a day. I think these second two chapters are keeping with Pam's character more than the first two. The end of this chapter broke my heart though.
Author's Response: Thanks, Deedldee. Sorry for the sad ending, hope you enjoy the way it wraps up.

Sweet ending, I'm glad Pam got to keep Jack and got Jim. I thought though, you could have fleshed it out a bit, but please don't get me wrong. I really did enjoy reading it.

This is awesome. I really got a good sense that, while she may seem like an okay girl for Jim, she just doesn't get him - I got that all from the Italian food thing. I also love how Pam loves the baby and seemingly has no regrets. I'm envious of you and your ability to write a multi chapter story, as I'm currently unable to get on that horse whatsoever. It's slightly frustrating. Reading your story helps. I hope to see a new update tomorrow!
Author's Response: First of all, thanks so much for the review, I appreciate it so much. Nice catch with the Italian food thing ;) That was done purposely. Yeah, I wanted Pam to be okay with having a child so the drama could focus more on Jim and Pam's relationship. If nothing else, Pam always knows she has something that will love her unconditionally.
Okay, I am incredibly flattered that my story is an inspiration. I'm so sorry you're frustrated with your writing, keep at it and just write what comes to you. As frustrating as it can be some times, if you give up completely, you'll never get anywhere. ;) I wish you luck :) And thanks again!
Date: February 24, 2011 Title: Chapter 10: Chapter 10
OH man, Kelly! She may be a little flighty but that girl knows what she's talking about. I literally feel bad for every single one here, which I'm impressed by that you actually made me feel bad for Karen. I really have to commend you on that one. And I love that Jim is half into talking to Pam and half not, very in character of him. Guh, I can't wait for the next update, hope you're typing away! I mean, no rush, because I never want this story to end but really can't wait to see what's up next!
Author's Response: Aww, yeah, I tried to write it so that you end up feeling sympathy for everyone, Karen included. In fact, I feel like she's getting the shortest end of the stick and, unfortunately, it's going to get really really bad for her coming up. Thanks so much for the kind words, hope you like what's next!!
