Befor ethey got to work, I thought this was yet another cute chapter, with some nice banter, maybe a little smuff... and then? Pam's prank took it to a whole new level. So brilliant. I smirked through the entire story and laughed out loud repeatedly. Such an awesome prank you've come up with here! And as if the Jim and Pam voices and characterization weren't spot on, you go and make Dwight perfectly Dwight, too.
Nice work! Loved it.

Author's Response:

A little late with my reply, but still completely sincere - thanks so much for taking the time to review; I'm so glad you thought the prank worked.  Now to see something like that on the show, hmm?

After reading the first chapter of this when you first wrote it, I felt a lot of trepidation... I am not so comfortable with killing Jim or Pam (makes me cry!), but I just read it all, and it was really beautifully done. Very well thought out and all in character. I think this last chapter is just an excellent piece of writing... with the surprise ending (perfect last line) and at the party you have everyone's voice down so perfectly.
As a whole a really lovely story and I am extremely glad I read it. Thanks!!

Nice work.
Oh, and, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOXIE!

Author's Response:

Yes, I thought some people might wonder that.  If it's any consolation, the birthday gifts included an iTunes gift card, a selection of art supplies, a Phillies jersey, and of course, the contents of his pants.  ;-)

Thanks for the review, desert island!

That was a great all-encompassing chapter. Really gave a great resolution of sorts to this story. I just read it all and feel like I've been on a really, really good roller coaster. What a ride! Really excellent work!

Author's Response:

Ah, thank you so much -- this was the vision that I originally had in mind, and I just couldn't stand the idea of totally abandoning it in favor of something AU.  Thank god my beta reminded me that - duh - I could do both.  :o)

This is great Moxie, cause I really do think that that would be an issue for these two. So, well done and very realistic.
I was reading Oracle Mom the other day (bravo on that, also) and I was just so taken with how effortlessly you narrate. It was reading that that I realized that is one of the main reasons I love your stuff (besides great characterization, writing, happy ending and original ideas) is just how easy it is to read (I hope that sounds like a complimet, cause it is). Seriously, your writing is just so natural, it is a joy. So... thanks!
Nice work as always.

Author's Response: I really appreciate your kind words - In some ways writing fanfic is such a selfish little hobby.  Very much wish-fulfillment, at least for me.  It's quite nice to know that others can find some joy in it as well.  :-)

So perfectly friendly and nervous and confident and happy, all rolled into one conversation, which is turning steamy. So good.

Author's Response: Thank you.  I'm so glad the 'nervous' came across.  I've sort of locked myself into a convention where there's only minimal internal dialogue, so it's good to know that the tension is still reading.

I love Sunny's perception of Jim. It a very true perspective, knowing just what she knows at this time.
