When I was doing research for "Chesterfields and Lace" I came across a small mine collapse in the 1950's..Roy is a coal miner in that story but I couldn't bring myself to mention it...the whole thing terrified me.
I'm glad you were brave and wrote something that was romantic and bittersweet but touching on a history shared by so many people in the northeast. Awesome job.

I'm sure Michael would have no idea people would find anything he said offensive. That's the beauty of being Michael, right? I know Aunt Jemima gets letters from people asking them to take the Mammy off of the bottle; I doubt they ever will, but it's interesting to me that people try.
I thought there was a particular ring to the sinning line, especially as he looked over at Angela at the time. Angela might have something to say about a slow train from Philly... not too hypocritical, is she? ;)

I have to be honest with you, I have been a fic reader for a long time and I've been slightly dissapointed with this season's fic, (including my own) I haven't been really excited about a story in a long long time.
I am super excited about this one. Your writing sucks me in and I get all upset and flustered. I'm a receptionist, trying to read this at work and people keep coming up to my desk to ask me things and I'm like, ".....guh...what?" cause you broke my brain.

I wrote a lovely and eloquent review and then I got logged off...I'll try again, but I can't promise my previous brillance to be duplicated.
That made me a little teary. I think that everyone has felt like Pam at some point. It doesn't seem to matter how long you've been with someone, or how much love there is between you...thinking about before, them with other people is so hard. And Jim and Pam had to witness most of it firsthand.
This was such a perfect resolution, beautiful...with all the right emotion in the right places. Fantastic job

Bravo! That was such an amazing story and I loved every second of it. It's great when a story that wrecks your heart in the middle can still manage to make you laugh by the end. Fantastic job
Summary: There were two alternate endings filmed for The Job, and I remember reading GD mentioning what the alternate ending was somewhere. So, this is my take on it. Also, it's sort of a look into what Pam was thinking throughout that day when she didn't think Jim was going to come back.

I decided I love every time someone writes about Jon, and he's become a real character on this site. So I kept thinking about writing JAM's growing relationship during the seasons through telephone conversations with Jon and Jim, and sometimes even his mom and his sister Lisa. Pam might even call once or twice...who knows. :P It's all dialogue BTW, since it's phone conversations. Interesting way to tell a story.

LOVE IT!! I've never understood the Jon phenomenon, I mean seriously...who started it?? It almost irks me to the point that I want to name his brother something else, but I never do because like you said, he's totally become a real character here. I also love that you made him silly and a little gross, like brothers should be. Sometimes in stories Jon gets entirely too sage-like...Jim had to have had some ridiculous siblings to turn out the way he did.
I really love this and I can't wait to see what he has to say about the things coming up :)
