10 I don't know how I missed this when you first posted it...it's amazing. You capture just a few minutes but you delve all the way into them, making the reader hear and feel and taste the emotions of this moment as well as the physical details. Wowza!

I love this image: The years since had all but erased [the pain], until nothing was left but faint impressions on paper.- How apt that he still thinks in 'paper' terms when he thinks back to those days.
